Agreed bro, I swear I fucking hate how in ALL of his skits he makes the protagonist seem weak, have no personality to speak up for themselves, and just tolerate all the disrespect and harassment thrown at them like that. Like, he never teaches them how people that deal with stuff like this to defend themselves when they're being mistreated. Because, if this was me I would literally snap at the girl and call her out for the whole plane see. On top of that, he makes these lessons based on people being respected if they are in a high position and come from money not because they're a human being?? Like, he just expects that those that are not in a high position nor rich should be treated like a circus monkey and put up with it on their own. Another thing that's also unrealistic, is the flight attendant being so chill and not doing anything as if there is not a passenger harassing someone else and causing a scene in front of everyone and their mother and making them uncomfortable??? @@TheOfficialTarynTots Basically he doens't pay his actors and his "life lessons" are hollow and are based around "What if the person your bullying is rich?" Basically don't watch his crappy videos. Just watch TurkeyTom instead
I am an obese person. I always buy two seats on planes. The price sucks, but I'd rather do that than make someone else uncomfortable. That doesn't make rudeness ok. On my first birthday after my mom died, I treated myself to front row tickets to Dear Evan Hansen. The guy behind me complained that they shouldn't let someone so big sit upfront. He opted to sit in the balcony. I cried during the show. That's what I remember from that birthday.
It's great to see how most of Dhar Mann's actors even realized the territory they got into, I'm glad the protesters finally got away to doing better things. My big issue with Dhar's messages in videos like these are how the ending completely Fs up the moral. I can tolerate the overdramatic tone and campy scripts, because I think if you don't think about it and enjoy the camp it can be entertaining, if only because the actors themselves are fine, but for me what should have been a short message about not shaming someone for their size turned into "Don't shame someone for being fat because they could turn out to be a well known business owner with lots of money" Dhar always does this, he'll take what should be a understandable moral and then gives off unfortunate implications. So it wasn't wrong for that woman (Rachel) to fat shame Janice because being a rude and hateful individual is bad or that shaming someone is wrong, but Rachel is wrong for shaming Janice because it turned out to be the boss of the company Rachel wanted to interview for. Which completely negates the point of the message. That's like if I filmed a race video about not mistreating people of color because racism is wrong, ONLY to say it is wrong if said person of color is political power, not because you know IT's wrong! Also Dhar tends to rehash plots from previous videos and just add different actors/morals into it. This one is basically the same as "Customer Fat Shamed at Buffet" which featured one of Dhar's former actors as the main antagonist who critized a woman for being fat, only for said woman to be head of the company she was interviewing for. Hell the video could've even went a step farther to spread a message about body positivity. A lot of Dhar's plots about bullying or shaming end this way and it is so bizzare.
Like nobody cares if you’re rich when they have to take a flight and they have to share their seat because you’re spilling out of your seat and you’re touching them the whole time that is so annoying like you know you’re a beer person by two seats but you don’t have to make mean comments once the flight takes place, just stand next to the bathroom or something or you stay next to the lane so then you can like position your body to be outside because if you sit next to the window you’re gonna be crammed against that wall
I used to be a Dhar Mann fan. Until he got called out and I couldn’t support a channel that treats people badly. Now I see just how swallow he really is. And how brainwashed I was. I was 15 at the time I started watching, I’m 17 now and see past his illusions.
What happens in the Dhark always comes to light. Ironic for someone who barely pays their actors and firing others for the wrong reasons. Edit: Thank you all for 442 likes, never got it before
9:13 that "oh my goshhh" by August was the closest i have ever heard someone match the oh my gosh from the first toy story movie when woody said it. Bro sounded just like woods it's like uncanny
10:34 Not going to lie, “back in the day” (2018-mid2020), I liked Dhar Mann’s videos about how “the kindness you put out into the world always has a way of coming back to you.” Although his old videos were still cringey, they (some) were actually kid friendly and you could reasonably learn something from them (as a “pick me up” on a bad day). But I think once he got more popular and shelled out WAY MORE videos than necessary, he went, as August describes it, the “Disney Channel route.” That’s all. I hope and pray Dhar Mann learns to treat his actors better and continues to grow in virtue.
The only thing I disagree with is the sob story is not just thrown in there. It’s supposed to show how much she’s struggling with people judging her based her weight. If a sob story is connected to the lesson it’s not pointless and is actually partially important to the plot. With that being said, I used to be a big fan of Dhar Mann. When I first discovered his channel I thought it was amazing. He didn’t just give the same life lesson every video. One of my favorite ones was his video talking about how anxiety can get the better of us. Something I could really relate to because I suffer from high anxiety. But then he just kept making the same videos over and over again and I really only stayed because I loved the actors. Now I’ve found out that he has fired a lot of them and a lot of them are protesting him because they aren’t being paid enough. They tried to be reasonable and call a meeting with Dhar Mann but apparently he wouldn’t attend it. It seems not even dhar Mann is immune to pride. As far as I’m concerned, he’s no better than the people he writes as antagonists.
Yeah I know this video is basically a remake of the video about the women fat shaming they women at the buffet who she didn’t know was the boss of the company she was supposed to be interviewing with that came out last March or April
"Flying doesn't really bother me..." August, you're a duck! You were born to fly. You don't need planes, lucky. 🤣 Also, notice how they make the overweight woman the least assertive and least confident person in the scenario to make her even more sympathetic. I wonder how this would have played out if the protagonist refused to take any of the other girl's nonsense. "Can you please stop crunching?!" According to Nestlé, crunching might actually make the plane ride easier. 🤣
tbh the way its portrayed too just makes the antagonist look even worse, cause those seats are PRETTY large. Halve the size of the seats, and make it a row of three then you'd see genuine reason to be upset at a person. But ofcourse in Dhar Man Fashion its not about representing reality its about making this large person really sweet, humble, kind, and the antagonist over the top, rude, and vitriolic. I'm a larger person myself, not like 300+ pounds larger, but I have wide shoulders and I'm overweight regardless. I've been wedged between 2 people that weigh 400+ before on an airplane. It's not fun. I'm sorry your health is bad, and I understand its tough, but this is a sensitive topic because it genuinely does affect those around you in these situations. But ofcourse, instead of taking a realistic situation like that and making a good message out of it, He'll do it the absolute worst way instead.
Dhar mann videos always have the highest production value but the laziest writing. Makes you think why he doesn't pay his actors enough if he clearly has the money.
For me, I don't mind flying, but I am very terrified when getting to a plane because the thought of a plane crash occurring is an awful feeling to have.
With the whole chip fiasco, i can kind of relate. I deal with minor sensory issues from my ADHD, and chewing can be very disorienting for me, but I would never react like that. If i really couldn’t take it, i might politely ask for them to either stop or keep it down, but never yell at them. (This is just me, ofc. Everyone is different.)
@@realdragonwell sorry but that person making you 'uncomfortable' has full rights to be there because they paid for their seat just like you did. And not wanting to talk is fine, literally fat shaming them to their face is WRONG NO MATTER WHAT.

if dhar man truly wanted to teach people lessons, he’d have his characters standing up to their bullies, genuinely meaning it when calling people who are overweight/underweight/etc beautiful (both inside and outside), etc.
Something else that bugs the hell out of me about this video is how hard the CEO turned character. It’s practically like Jessie from Team Rocket; playing a wimpy, sickly old woman or something; you could see the crack form when she says “By the way, who did you say the interview was with?” And the trigger word is “Rachael.” She is practically like “Prepare for trouble,” switching into her real character, Team Rocket theme playing, while she waits for the employer to finish the line
This is eerily reminiscent of my foster sister. She would say nasty things, but she was the one that was overweight. She would bring me down so I didn't feel good about myself because she was jealous that I was a little bit thinner than her. Thing is I went to a behavioral health facility for 9 months and when I got home, I was 215lbs. For some reason idk if it was because she missed me or she saw that I involuntarily gained almost 60 pounds, being near 155 when I left. It made me not trust her even more because I was able to see more true colors from that experience in itself. When I got home from those 9 months, I requested she not speak to me, in fear of what ended up happening in the end. I knew it would end up being the same no matter what, and I was right. Petty shit made her mad and she snapped, but like always, I had to apologize to her for all of whatever the fuck. Dropped her two months after I found a way out and never spoke to her again. It's ok to end relationships in your life, if it's truly toxic and there is betterment in the motion of cutting that person out of your life. I had to eventually do it with my only parent I have left alive. I know what it is, the shit is painful but it's definitely been a better life since. I'm not going to feel guilty if the one person who's supposed to be there....... Just isn't. Do what is best
This reminds me of that one Dhar Mann video where a homeless looking guy came into a restaurant to give it a kitchen star and the manager was being a jerk, only to realize in the end that homeless looking guy was the guy reviewing the restaurant. Then again, most of dhar's videos have this similar plot to some degree, so I'm not surprised by this video.
“you know how you’re an abusive sociopath to random people? Well you should find out if they’re actually able to directly benefit you first, to save yourself the embarrassment” Thanks for the tip, Dhar Mann
Dude when she said "i have an interview with the head of Ulta Mark Rober" I got so scared this was going to be a Mark Rober collab. I've never been more happy to be decieved
To be fair, I'd kind of be annoyed too with someone next to me crunching loudly and trying to talk to me too. Sure, I wouldn't be as rude as Rachael, but I'd *DEFINITELY* be annoyed. I'd try to just keep to myself.
@@starlightx1291that's no one else's problem. I understand you have an issue, but it doesn't mean another person doesn't have the right to eat because it annoys you.

I'm not one who usually says the word fatphobia, but I think in this video it's fitting. The way she's treating Janice is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. This is fatherless behavior ngl
I like how Dhar Mann lessons aren't, "don't fat shame because it's bad" it's just; "don't fat shame because the person you're fat shaming could be your future boss or a wealthy ceo " good job Dhar Mann you're really changing lives.
I wanted to see the comments on the original video, especially after all the controversy, and sadly almost every comment is going on about how great Dahr Mann is and how much they love him 😢 It sucks that he will most likely get away unscathed from all this. No lesson learned, nothing....
I'm convinced Dhar man makes these just to insult regular people in the world just get off what he really thinks. Then at the end, he just say "there's nothing wrong with that I was just making fun of"
Normal living creatures of the universe: "Don't bully someone because its mean." Dhar Mann: "Don't bully someone because the person you're bullying might be Bill Gates and he would've given you all his money if you were nice to him." 6yr olds: "Dhar Mann makes the most realistic stories of all time!!"
NOTE: I'm not supporting the act of making fun of someone's weight. But I feel as though some of his videos regarding "fat shaming" are a bit unfair. The thing is, some of his videos involve the heavy set person being in a small space such as sitting next to someone. When you know you are a big person and you are in a place where you know there is a likelyhood that you may have to squeeze in somewhere.......that's an inconvenience. If you're taking the plane and I know I'm a big person, no matter what my financial situation is, I would save up enough for at least two seats.
Dhar Mann's videos depict contrived situations with exaggerated acting and predictable outcomes, aiming more for sentimentality than genuine insight into social issues…no one acts this way. EVER.
6:06 who thinks like this. I can think of SEVERAL obese people who are famous, powerful, or otherwise important, including several comedians and at least one president.

Me too!! They never have a backbone! Why was she even continuing to talk to her after she sat down? I would have kept to myself after that. And I’m sorry but am I the only one that thought it was rude that she just starting eating before the plane even took off? Like she couldn’t wait? I guess Dhar Man had to keep up with the stereotype that all heavy people need to eat constantly!! I hate that stereotype!
@@Adrianne519 agreed!!
Like wow amazing video Dhar Dhar 💀
Nah if the person that lady was mocking was Peter Griffin he would go roadhouse on her ass and throw her out of the plane where she also gets sucked into the jet engines.

💜👋✌
Like nobody cares if you’re rich when they have to take a flight and they have to share their seat because you’re spilling out of your seat and you’re touching them the whole time that is so annoying like you know you’re a beer person by two seats but you don’t have to make mean comments once the flight takes place, just stand next to the bathroom or something or you stay next to the lane so then you can like position your body to be outside because if you sit next to the window you’re gonna be crammed against that wall
That example u gave is so fucking funny because Dhar Mann already did that concept before

Dhar Mann plots are so predictable but if this point, I already knew what the big twist was going to be, almost as soon as the video started😂
Yeah I know this video is basically a remake of the video about the women fat shaming they women at the buffet who she didn’t know was the boss of the company she was supposed to be interviewing with that came out last March or April
"Flying doesn't really bother me..."
August, you're a duck! You were born to fly. You don't need planes, lucky. 🤣
Also, notice how they make the overweight woman the least assertive and least confident person in the scenario to make her even more sympathetic.

But ofcourse, instead of taking a realistic situation like that and making a good message out of it, He'll do it the absolute worst way instead.

if dhar man truly wanted to teach people lessons, he’d have his characters standing up to their bullies, genuinely meaning it when calling people who are overweight/underweight/etc beautiful (both inside and outside), etc.
"We're not just telling stories, we're telling you to not bully people because they could be rich and powerful and only they deserve respect!"

NOTE: I'm not supporting the act of making fun of someone's weight. But I feel as though some of his videos regarding "fat shaming" are a bit unfair. The thing is, some of his videos involve the heavy set person being in a small space such as sitting next to someone.
