- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this truck while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this truck designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I'm not a big fan of trucks but this is actually pretty bad ass.
I'd love to take this beast of a truck on a cross-country road trip - fun to drive, roomy, and sharp looking. But wow, there's just no getting around that nearly sinful gas mileage.
VQSeries roomy if you have a quad cab... otherwise make sure to keep your luggage weather proof with a tarp over the bed... otherwise I would say, not road trip worthy.

8.3 for it's time. 8.4 wasn't implemented until 2012/2013.

The button you said was Rear Defrost is actually the Heated Mirrors. I have a 05 Ram 1500 Laramie with Heated Mirror and the button is the same.

The spoiler is factory and has it's purpose. It is removable if you just bought your new tv or couch and have to put it up there. The manual is factory on single cabs. As far as towing, it's capable of it but not designed for it. It's not all about tq and hp to tow something. Much like the Escalade having the same general 6.2L the Denali has, but has lower towing limits.
Holy jesus, you can see how far Hurst short throws have come, though I don't quite like short throws that much. That looks like the transmission in my old 2002 S10.

At the time, this was the fastest production truck in the world. Nascar driver Brendan Gaughan hit a speed of 154.587 MPH in Feburary of 2004 on a test track in one of these trucks.
Yeah when you got a close up on the exhuast it scared the shit out of me haha, its a nice truck though, mine is only a 99 ram V8 5.9, not too powerful but fun to drive.
It's amazing you can get v10s like older vipers and these trucks for around $20k
Jonathan Nelson got mine about 7 years ago for $23k... mine only has 16k miles and is worth more than that now... at least $30k ... sure if it has 100k miles plus on it you might be lucky enough to get $25K now ... I got a bargain then when I got it at 14k miles... so $20k for one now is highly unlikely unless it has a ridiculous amount of miles
Or the seller is an idiot, good luck. This is a weekend truck and nothing else if you plan on it being an investment piece. Just riding it enough to keep the motor in good working order.
@infringinator Agree! I love turning a key and feeling the engine turn over in my hand. Plus if a push button breaks it's a longer and more expensive process to fix.

For the love of all that is good and holy, why after all the aftermarket parts were installed, why did they never put a cold air intake on it
Because "hot air intakes" on some vehicles actually loss power. The stock air box has a tube that goes to the fender which get outside air. Also When people clean them and then oil them you can make you MAF sensor dirty and cause some problems. I would never put a "cold air intake" on one of my vehicles unless I am certain I see gains in HP.

Haha they just took the Viper formula and turned it on its head. If I remember correctly, the V-10 engine from the first Dodge Viper actually came from the Dodge Ram. Nice how that comes full circle.
And kyle, is the clutch on a car with a bigger engine like this one going to be heavier than the clutch on a car with a smaller engine?
