i had one of these as a rental car for a week , fun to drive , the one thing i didnt like was the large amount of blind spots when looking through the rear
@@Osprey1994 At least the dash and doors are very easy to clean. And that's exactly what I'm looking for in a car like this. A Focus ST is nice, but since it's a newer car I'd argue that they SRT4 may be more reliable.
Because of the car's cheap, plain interior, there is a cool feature that cools items as inserted to the glovebox and also a upper compartment that stores more stuff inside. Unfortunately when the Cailber had a massive interior revision in 2010, these features like that were deleted having you to upgrade to a 2011 Honda Odyssey for these cool features
Hey! I was wandering if you could do a tour for an Avenger? I am not sure when they're officially cutting avenger off but do they have a 2013 Avenger possibly a BlackTop lying around in North Carolina?
aww these cars kick some serious butt! love it! but i was wondering if you could do a video on the trailblazer EXT V8? you dont have to do the V8 but my mom has one and it really hauls ass.
They most certainly do have the same motor. The only difference between the two is the engine bay setup, and the Caliber having a more powerful tune to make up for its weight. The transmissions are slightly different, yes. And they are built on completely different platforms. But the motor is in fact the same as the Neon's and PT Cruiser GT. So although you may be right on 2/3 of the subject, maybe you shouldn't open your mouth unless you know what you're talking about for sure.
@@TheLouke which is a shame, because they pretty nice handling cars. But to go along with what you're saying, I have suddenly stopped seeing Neons after a couple years ago.
@saabkyle04 Does Goose Creek by chance have an 80s BMW 3 series? e30 style like mine would be from 1984-1991 ...if they did then that would be totally awesome haha
my dad has a caliber srt so apparently there is no option for 4WD. However, i noticed that there is an indication in the screen beneath Millimeters which says 4WD..can anyone tell me what is that for?
Not all SRT's man! Lol I drive a PT Cruiser GT. Same motor, suspension/platform, and exhuast as the Neon. I only have one exhaust though. The Neon is the only boosted 4 cylinder product with an SRT badge that has dual exhausts. And I wanted one badly too. It was either a Neon, Caliber, SRT-6, or the PT Cruiser GT. Only found the PT. Each and every one of the SRT-4 vehicles are incredibly hard to find. And harder to find in good shape.
@saabkyle04 well, you are hearing the comment from a guy who dosen't like chrysler, but then again, we all have our opinions. Say, is there a chance you can do an Early 90's german car? thanks.
I really like these Dodge Calibers for some reason. Mostly the way the look and that "aggressive hatchback" body style. I just really really really wish the interior was even just a little bit better. When you buy a $15,000 product, it should not feel like it came from the Dollar Tree.
Dear Dodge... my complaints on this perticular vehicle: 4 cylinder, manual, tach in middle of gauges instead of speedometer, full manual seats, no ipod/usb/aux input My compliments: fog lights, awesome looking hood, grill and wing, sunroof, window guard thingys, aweome wheels/rims, great color, nice pedals, great stereo, pwr win & locks, was that a seat in the middle from flipping the console lid down?
For those who owns a sxt if u want SRT power just recalibrate it and after a week u will have insane srt power which is faster than the manual as it's cvt.
@@toastindustries7737 it's actually not, it's a open deck engine as opposed to the neons closed deck. (Open deck is supposed to be better for cooling but I've heard from other ppl that closed deck is better to build) caliber also comes stock with 50 more horsepower then neon.
This is one of the most underrated cars that Chrysler has put out in probably a decade and to think that the SRT-4 edition doesn't even exist anymore with the interior upgrades to the new ones. Just shows the signs of a badly run company putting out crap like the Dodge Avenger and Rental Sebring.
Other than the displacement # , these two motors have NOTHING in common between them . One is a cast iron closed-deck motor , the other is an aluminum open-deck motor . The bellhousing geometry is totally different , you can't bolt one motor to the other trranny , not even without considering the clutch/flexplate/input shaft . The. Heads don't share any machining at all . Different bolt patterns , different oil/water passage routing . I own a caliber srt4 so I know what I am talking about.
the 2.4L in the Caliber SRT4 is a Turbocharged Worthless Pile of Aluminum. HOWEVER, that Turbocharging completely balances out the HORRID Engine NVH with Power!
Caliber SRT4 r so rear that I’ve never seen one on the road or even a car show. Neon SRT4 on the other hand yea I drove ☝️ before. It was even modded too
Not trying to be a dick or anything... I think the exterior design is amazing looking. would only add projector xeons lights and a (fake)- dual exhaust. Again, not trying to bash here but, is there any soft touch materials other than the seats in this car? It looks like even the center armrest is hard plastic? Is this true? If it it, that is just ridiculous. How much could it cost for a padded armrest? It doesn't even have to be leather. Unless I am wrong and it just looks like plastic?
What you missed is the glove box is also a mine fridge and cools drinks. also there is a pop out flash light in the headliner of the back seats
I'm not a Dodge person, but I love the look of this car and the way it sounds
I love the design of this car
A 6 speed? Wow, Chrysler, I'm impressed. Was not expecting that. +1
Its a Getrag too...Pretty stout transmission.
I'm not a big fan of srt4 Caliber but it still turns my head with it's sporty looks.
It looks a like a minivan that's going through a "phase" I wouldn't want to be seen in one.

You got to admit, his early videos were pretty nice too. They felt closer to home.
I really dig the Caliber SRT4. Super quick and mean, and lean in the corners. This car is no joke!
Interior looks cheap as hell, it's not the car to get if you can snag a MS3 or a Focus ST.
