I really prefer this generation of Mercedes interiors. Classy, flowing curves everywhere and the materials are very nice. Only thing I'd change on this particular example is replacing the silver panels with a nice warm shade of wood. The new S-Class looks too aggressive, clinical and modern to me. Mercedes should be the classy choice with a warm, calm athmosphere. I think they're steering too much towards Audi in terms of interior styling. But that's just my opinion. Great review as usual! :)
Totally agree on the point about the older interiors. I'd also add that they are better for ergonomics too, I think. They just feel a bit more cozy and now that you mention it, I do see a bit of Audi in Merc's latest interior design. Thanks for watching!

Cool review! Regarding your comments to avoid the S and get this one. There's simply no comparison in how E drives vs S, test-driven this on air suspension and an S500 also on air. The S is like you float over the road, it's way better, excellent sound insulation and the seat was much more comfortable, but that's where the advantages stopped for me. The E felt much more responsive in terms of acceleration, the trackpad is the best combo ever feels like I'm holding a mouse, the fact that you still have buttons for most used elements is great. I've always wanted to own an S, but given its dust-loving design, huge impractical screen (which does look very good indeed), its price (more than double), I think sticking with a hybrid E is the best choice at the moment.
Thanks for watching and for your excellent and well-written comment! I too have driven several variants of E-Class, as well as the latest S-Class ( check out the S500 review on my channel, I was quite proud of it when I uploaded it :D ). And while I wholeheartedly agree with you that the S is miles more luxurious and comfortable, I just think it's a bit excessive and you will only notice the difference if you are a very knowledgeable car person with a keen eye for these things. I think that feeling connected to the car is important, and the E just offers much more of that - it shrinks around you when you drive it quickly, which is something the S can't quite match, regardless of spec. And the E offers more than enough comfort to be among the best in class, yet it's still fairly engaging and agile to drive - I really valued the balance it struck. And I also recommended the E over the new S because it is a more conventional car with fewer pointlessly large screens, a less fussy design and a more crafted feel than the S. Plus I just hate the new electric seat controls in all new Mercs and I think it's a poor design choice, plus forcing you to use the screens for all functions is not that desirable in my book - the version of MBUX fitted to the facelifted E class is pretty much the same, but you still have a physical means to control it, which is far better (and safer). I could go on and on about this, but basically, I think the S is pointless excess unless you want to show off given that the E is eight tenths the luxury car, but more of a driver's car, it's cheaper, more understated and if you spec it right, the difference in luxury between it and its larger brother does shrink.
@@OneTireFire Thanks for the extensive reply and insights. Don’t forget about maintenance costs and insurance pricing of the S. I studied the market through and through and I really can’t find a match for this E, I’m happy to see you consider it a solid choice too.

What happens to the power output once the battery is fully depleted?
Guess it wouldn’t be 320hp 🤔
New hybrid battery cost after malfunction? Without warranty
I think over 10 grand.
New sub here 👍💪
This new C class is just fantastic. Looks sharp, drives great....I think is better than 3 series or A4...
Thank you, subbed to your channel as well 👋
Looks could be better
It looks good in person, although even with the facelift it is starting to look a bit old.
