Great video! Upgrade time in December and this is top of the list for now. Only down sides i can see so far is the range on electric mode and the boot space. Currently have a C200 coupe, can you compare practical boot space/size for me please?
I ordered the E300E because it's faster, didn't think it'd actually have worse milage than my E220D.
A question was the automatic change from electric to the petrol engine smooth or jerky?//
If you look for it you can probably feel it. But if you are driving along with music on and driving on uneven roads (which you so often do in the UK) you won’t really notice
Also, diesel fuel is much much more cleaner than it used to be back in the day, & as you mentioned, way more efficient.
Big problem with the E300e plug in hybrid. The estate car, always a big seller for MB is diesel hybrid only, MB do not have plans to add a petrol version at the moment, according to MB Uk. Arguably its closest rival the BMW 530e is available in both fuel types. Were it not for the terrible X box style tacky instrument cluster, I would be buying a BMW. So MB get a petrol version into production.
Mercedes-Benz definitely have the estate car with the petrol hybrid option. Mercedes-Benz UK have told us we do not want it?? Go figure
Design is not up to standards
Have a word with Mr G Wagener
How about giving away an E-Class?? :))
No problem bro. Come and pick it up from London 🥸
*If it ain't broke why fix it - however it took 4 Years and Millions of € to develop this model - Clue Dortmund December 2016 - can say no more as sworn to secrecy*
Would have gladly gotten the 300DE version, but some countries (like NL) tax diesel so heavily, it just stops making sense, so the 300E was the better way to go. Also not sure in miles, but so far I've gotten consistently 55km electric out of the car, even doing highway at steady 100kmh with 6c outside (so summer would be much better).
I wonder why? 🤔 it must be REALLY bad for the environment. that’s a really good range of you are achieving that in the real world 👍🏼
Yay at last a UK review of the updated E Class. Great review I liked, Subscribed and hit the Bell Icon.
Ordered an E 400d Estate last week 16 week lead time 🥴 gonna check out the rest of your channel to see if there is anything about driver assist on there as added this pack too 😬
Hi Mark! Thank you so much :)
I haven’t done anything on the driving assistance but happy to answer any questions you may have :)
Thanks for the sub etc
Bruv, I can't find reviews of this car that aren't U.K. reviews😂
I’m new here. Found your channel and loving your content! Can I get in contact with you throughout mail or something else? I’m an engineerstudent in Belgium and I’ve some personal questions.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you! The AMG lounge @ gmail .com :)
Happy to help
A few observations... When the hybrid battery went flat the car reverted to the petrol engine, from new this vehicle had travelled less than 7 miles, the reviewer did a further 15 miles or so and then stated the car was returning 50+mpg??? This claim makes no sense. The car had travelled 20+ miles and not used one drop of petrol, so how can anyone state what the average mpg is?
Second point, we are told Mercedes-Benz have no plans of producing the hybrid in the estate version!! 100% inaccurate. I have a new 300e estate. Mercedes=Benz UK have no plans of letting their customers have this choice. Mercedes-Benz UK know what we want :(
Love my 300e and getting loads of refinement, performance and great economy at 53.3 mpg. Great video
Thank you Paul!
Cannot wait for facelift Coupe/Cabriolet to be available on NELS. Do you know if apple car play is displayed full screen?
As far as I am aware.... no :(
@@GoksCarLounge such a shame. I thought it was only on the smaller widescreen cockpits where there were borders because of the aspect ratio but I guess it’s an MBUX thing 🙁
Which exterior design is better? previous one or face-lifted? what do you think?
With any new design I always think “ah I liked the previous one” but then the more you see it the more it grows on you and starts making the old one look “dated”. So honestly? I can’t decide...
What happens to the power output once the battery is fully depleted?
Guess it wouldn’t be 320hp 🤔
Brilliant review, entertaining and informative!
I like the old look alot better, also the lights are way more cool on the old version both front and back
Awesome! I think Diesel is waaaayyy more efficient too. But who am I to say
Sunny. You are sunny.
@@GoksCarLounge I wish I asked you sooner
Finally detailed honest video thank you 😊 🙏 definitely a new sub
Thank you Clifton. Much appreciated.
Thank you Clifton. Much appreciated.
Love it !!!
Why does the cabin sound so noisy as you speak
Unless you are regularly driving through urban and congestion zones I don’t see the point in having hybrid cars other than self charging styles!
I'd say it's the other way round: unless your commute is like 50 miles or you can't charge at all, anywhere, a pure petrol does not make any sense anymore. And unless you're going for a 6 or 8 cylinder engine, it won't be more fun either. This car makes the E300 petrol look really slow and unnecessary.
Can you put the 20inch wheels on it if you want to or would the alloys crack with the weight?
Don’t think it would crack... although I can’t be certain. I think it’s more to do with the ride.
What was the battery mileage you got from this car? I’m stuck between a cla, gla and this 😭🤦🏾♂️
20...ish. Overall this a great PETROL car with the added benefit of some electric.
The CLA/ GLA are great PHEVs. longer range so they feel more electric focused..
But e class is more refined. Haha... I don’t think I’ve been much help have I? 🤣
@@GoksCarLounge 😫😅no I get you, I do like the look and interior of the e class🤦🏾♂️what pulls me to the cla is the electric milage but I know the space for adults in the back is minimum compared to the gla
Brilliant, loved it!
Thanks mate! For the comment and your help ;)
How much is this particular car?
Hi Robby, just spoke to Slough and they have sold it already! Was circa £46k from memory...
@@GoksCarLounge thats a good price!
We know that long-term exposure to nitric oxide can significantly increase the risk of respiratory problems, and so these emissions have been regulated for some time. The fine particulate matter (PM) that diesel engines produce also causes cancer and can have acute respiratory effects.
Particulate filters in car exhausts can reduce PM emissions by more than 90%, but they require good operating conditions and regular maintenance. They can also produce more nitrogen dioxide, making diesel one of the main sources of this toxic gas.
