After 6 years of learning how to be an engineer and a producer, I'm finally feeling ready to take the plunge into the world of surround sound, atmos, and all that there is beyond stereo. I was definitely pretty intimidated before I saw this video which speaks to how well it was produced. Leave it to Dolby to lead the industry!
Can you do a demonstration on how you built your stand that your 8020s are connected too please?
Thank you
Great video-thanks. How do you fix/adjust per-channel/object phase issues, due to your actual config ?
This video is validated as cool because of the Metalheadz record proudly displayed
Great video! What stands are you using for your four top speakers?
Very nice …thanks for the information….I want to put a basic atmos 7.1.4 setup…so which sound card would you suggest please….
Could you configure this for a 24.1.10 bed if you happen to have an Altitude 32? Or is 7.1.4 the default?
I didn't get the LFE routing part isn't there one LFE send already on Panner??
You should start by saying Dolby Amos production sweet is MAC only. Is there an alternative for Windows 10 users?
suite*
I don't get it, why do the object channels still show being output to the 7.1.2 bed?
Where is the session template of yours that you mentioned will be available for download?
This all seems pretty easy to setup. Too a bunch of it is Mac exclusive. Are there any plans to expand support to Windows for more of the software? I'd consider upgrading my studio for spatial audio in the future, but I don't want to deal with Apple products anymore. Their anti-consumer business model is even worse for professionals. The lack of support for their product makes them the opposite of what the audio industry needs. With proper PC support, Dolby Atmos mixing/production would become available to many more people.
Considering a Mac mini w/ M1,16 gig ram, costs less than a single Genelec speaker, I'd say that's fairly accessible.
can you produce my next album please? I have great creative ideas but I need a producer and an skilled engineer.
This is mac only? No windows? When will that change?
Which UA interface are you using?
Exactly - essential question..
