    Excellent tip. Once the servo plugs are connected I wrap the connection with office tape or servo connector retaining clips which are made for the purpose.

    Bonus tip - After you jab your finger, a drop of CA on the puncture wound works nicely.😬 Seriously, another great tip I'll watch out for this from now on.👍

      @@RCINFORMERgreat tips man. Huge shout out from Canada. Rich do you put velcro to prevent battery slippage on all your planes? For example on the Otter and the piper cherokee? Do you get double side adhesive velcro or just glue it in?

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  3 роки тому +1

      @@deppi I normally use shelf liner with double sided scotch tape to Keep it from sliding.... The 2 straps will keep it attached to the shelf liner and that way I don't need to use Velcro:)

    Great tip Rich. It also brought back memories of me trying to make my own Bind plug when I first got in the sport. I’m at the field, I have the place to myself, 2 planes, 4 batteries, my DX8.... and no Bind Plug. It would’ve been quicker to just drive home and get 1 of the 2 bind plugs, but my OCD/ADD/ADHD/Dyslexia got the better of me. Disastrous. Only had to forget the bind plug once. Now I have one in every plane’s receiver before I leave, I have bind plugs attached to my transmitters, lanyards, and battery bags. If I find a bind plug on the ground, for me at least and to this day, it’s like winning the lottery.

    Does that causes receiver problems wen the rc servo is not tighten contacts to the receiver

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  2 роки тому +1

      No, but it can cause intermittent servo movement or loss of servo control IF there is a bad connection!

    I used this tip yesterday to fix a balancing plug which was presenting intermittent contact with my voltage meter. I found which wire was giving the bad contact and pulled its connector from the housing. I was able to see how loose the pin on the meter fits. After lightly pressing (smashing) the connector it gave a solid contact no matter how I move the balance lead. Thanks again!
