@@bamaG1966 I kid you not that I made a statement on my facebook yesterday about Lose/loose. Actually it was "loosing" that I made a specific reference to.
Steve Vai on Randy Rhoads' Crazy Train solo: “I remember when I first heard ‘Crazy Train’ and then its freight-train of a guitar came screaming in." “I think it’s the first rock track I heard where the solo came in and got scared.”
Enjoyed him on the National Mall during the Rally for Sanity hosted by Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert. That was probably the one event in my life i will never forget. I never in my life thought that there would be the huge crowd that it was; but it was amazing to see all the 'regular' people that are never heard.
Imagine what a shock this song must have been at the time. Ozzy had been kicked out of Sabbath and was holed up in a hotel drinking and drugging when his future wife Sharon convinced her father to sign him as a solo act as she became his manager. First single? The legendary Crazy Train. Even with Dio raking over briefly as singer Sabbath, Ozzy's solo career eclipsed post-Ozzy Sabbath, something most would never expect had they seen the mess he was in that hotel room.
I don't have to imagine. I was there. I remember when this album dropped. Saw them touring on the next album Diary of a Madman at the Cow Palace. Randy was fucking amazing. I've seen thousands of concerts since then (it was my second big show) and nothing compared to that show. I also don't have to imagine how it felt when I heard Randy was gone. I still feel it. Exactly like that same day.
I am just now catching this. February 28/21 and the lyrics are so appropriate for all that is going on in our country. We will all be singing "Crazy Train" out our windows if this Corona Virus lock down last any longer. "I am going off the rails in this crazy lockdown".
Bob Daisley wrote all the lyrics to the first two “Ozzy” albums. The band was supposed to be a band called “Blizzard of Ozz” who’s members were Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake, Randy Rhodes and of course Ozzy, But Ozzy’s wife Sharon changed it to just Ozzy, as a solo artist, shortly before the album was released and then later fired both Daisley and Kerslake after both albums were recorded (they were recording months apart) before the “Diary of a Madman” tour. Daisley continued writing the lyrics for Ozzy up until the “Ultimate Sin” album. This is NOT the original recording.
Thanks for showing this. This sure does fit the time we live in. So many people just think of Ozzy as that crazy rocker until they dive into his lyrics.
It should be noted that these lyrics (like most of the songs on these early Ozzy solo records) were written by Bob Daisley, the bass player, whom Ozzy screwed over a few years later...
Just purely out of curiosity, did he ever write lyrics/music going back to 1970? If so did he write, in has last albums with Sabbath? I grew up in the 70s, with 50s music and 60s music my parents listened to. My moms sister my aunt got me into rock n roll kiss, ozzy and so on at 6 years old in 1976. I love all styles of music, its the music and the lyrics that move the body and mind!
Tracy Chapman "fast car" I think you'll really like this
Outstanding song. Forgot about that one. Thanks
Depressing song, but it is a good one.
Amaizing song .
I love how right off the bat a lyric video has aboard spelled wrong.
the whole damn thing is spelled wrong, gave me a stroke
Right off the bat? Unintentional, or extremely clever? You made ME laugh!
The person who did the lyric video probably fell off the crazy train and hit his head on the ground cause damn, that was painful to read. So many spelling errors! Was it made by Joe Biden?🤣
@@bamaG1966 I kid you not that I made a statement on my facebook yesterday about Lose/loose. Actually it was "loosing" that I made a specific reference to.
I often see aboard misspelled when I travel abrod.
Steve Vai on Randy Rhoads' Crazy Train solo:
“I remember when I first heard ‘Crazy Train’ and then its freight-train of a guitar came screaming in."
“I think it’s the first rock track I heard where the solo came in and got scared.”
THAT says a LOT about Randy Rhodes! One of a kind! Gone, way before his time...
So many styles of music, all carrying a similar message, coming from different directions, bringing us together-where we can all meet in the middle.
Whoever did the lyrics video needs spell check.
Must have dropped out of school. :)
Preacher, not...whatever they put
abored.....go's. Might be a second language translator. I hope
Its hard to type on a crazy train.
I think it was a 10 year old. I HOPE it was a 10 year old....😳
Imagine what a shock this song must have been at the time.
Can't understand a word he speaks, but when he sings its totally different..
That bass line is nasty... love it... the words... the guitar solo... Ozzy's voice... This is one of my favorite Ozzy songs...thanks, young man.
almost 40 years of enjoying his Stuff!! Thank you for doing this Much love
loved the reaction tnx. and i get what u say about hearing ozzy talking, and his lyrics...
Great song by a great artist! You should react to "Shot in the Dark ", " Mama I'm coming Home" and "The Road to Nowhere "!
Iron Man!
Mama, I'm Coming Home
The illiteracy is strong with whoever made that lyric video.
That hurt to read ;-)

@John Nichols actually, he is...
Well, at least "correct"... 🤣
@John Nichols Well, thanks to the person who made this lyrics video, I'm thinking of changing my name to Machinegun *Precaher* @3:14
tunes of bands back then..had Lots of wise words to share with the world, and todays generation..I can only Hope..Hears them too!!..blessings!
I am just now catching this. February 28/21 and the lyrics are so appropriate for all that is going on in our country. If we could all just stand together, one nation, under the God of your choice, WE COULD BE A GREAT NATION! BTW this is my all time favorite song. Its too bad that the lead guitarist Randy Rhodes was killed in an accident because he was truly one of the guitar GREATS!
From Ozzy: Mr. Crowley, Journey to the center of eternity, Dairy of a madman, Suicide Solution, Over the mountain, Bark at the moon.. Just about all are worth listening to though.
Over the mountain take me across the sky ! I LOVE THAT
Dairy Of A Madman is my favorite place to eat ice cream.
Yes. All of this!
You Can't Kill Rock and Roll by Ozzy. Trust me.
Word.
That's my jam.
"Twisting the truth and they're playin around with my head.....ookayyy"
Hell yeah. Great jam🤟🏾🔥🎸
Goosebumps with that song. For you to mention it is awesome. Incredible woman you are.
Randy’s guitar... he wanted to sound like a train on tracks. His talent was amazing.
Cool thought... I hear it. I teach this intro to my guitar students...
I totally caught that in the verse riff when I first heard the song. So badass! My 13 year old mind was blown.
Bad ass riff by Randy Rhoads and lyrics by Ozzy one of the most epic Rock & Roll songs for the Universe to enjoy!! This is one of those songs that makes you wish you know how to play a Guitar, you know how many people got started on an instrument just by listening this song. Great reaction video Jamel!!
Ya gotta wonder how the hell the oz. Sounds the same as he did watching concerts in 1971 and still unmistakably oz on 2020 still all these years and ya no that voice. Thanks for sharing with me so so much of my young years and letting me remember all
I've not seen anyone do any reactions to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Great music that's being overlooked. First CD I ever purchased was their greatest hits. Thanks, you're reactions are really good. Tough to pick a particular song, Love Child might be a good place to start.
The live version on Tribute is the greatest heavy metal track ever!
"All music is the Blues. All of it." -George Carlin There is truth there...
Tell that to Tchaikovsky.

Kinda true! Almost every modern genre has its roots in blues or jazz, but it all has to start somewhere.
Thank you, so much Jamel, for giving Ozzy a chance. I was 15-years-old when this song hit the airwaves and the lyrics are as insightful and relevant today as they were back then (during the Vietnam War). Love your channel and seeing your musical horizons expand. God bless.
One of my favorite songs ever, I play this song every time I pick up my guitar
Ozzy: "Mr. Crowley, "; one of Rhodes great guitar songs.
You have to hear No More Tears from the Ozzman. The best bass line and my favorite song from him.
Black Sabbath - Symptom of the Universe!
@ti portangeles one of the greatest Black Sabbath Ozzy era song , way ahead of his time for sure !
@ti portangeles no way that's crazy!! haha i'm 27 and this is my favorite band for almost all my life , they taught me some many thing . it's crazy how people of all ages come check to see my man Jamel AKA Jamal react to this beatiful songs that we all love
@ti portangeles Light comes from Dark . healthy music put you in a good mood but sure. i listen a lot of different types of music and for every type i had like a favorite artist kind of haha for heavy rock and roll music forever will be this dudes !
That guitar solo was the late (great) Randy Rhoads. He's definitely in the Top 10 greatest rock guitarists. And I remember when he died. He died in a plane crash about 50 miles from my house in my senior year in high school. What a tragic loss.
After a long period of doing small clubs, this was THE Song that Launched Ozzy's Solo career! All it took was a small Bite, a little blood and a Dead Dove LOL!
would love to hear you react to Emerson Lake and Palmer. Start with "welcome back my friends"
RIP Randy Rhodes.
He does a song called “Dreamer” , it’s amazing🎶🎶🖤🎶🖤🎶
Goodbye to romance is one of the best ozzy Osbourne songs of all time. Unbelievably excellent. Touching and deep. Again from the Randy Rhodes era. Just a very beautiful song with really heartfelt lyrics.
Jamel you nailed it exactly. It's the way a message is delivered that people can HEAR it.
We will all be singing "Crazy Train" out our windows if this Corona Virus lock down last any longer. "I am going off the rails in this crazy lockdown".
you'll be singing angel of death if it doesn't though
You should hear "Green Eyed Lady" extended version by Sugarloaf.
The bass line. Son loves that bass line.
Lovely Lady..!
That kick drum tho
wow yes indeed
Absolutely! Maybe Spirit's "Fresh Garbage". Get something jazzy up in this joint.
I would like to hear the original recording
Thanks for showing this. This sure does fit the time we live in. So many people just think of Ozzy as that crazy rocker until they dive into his lyrics.
Ozzy told us decades ago. Crazy Train! Love you, brother.
It should be noted that these lyrics (like most of the songs on these early Ozzy solo records) were written by Bob Daisley, the bass player, whom Ozzy screwed over a few years later...
Lord Elpus Sharon screeed over. She’s the worst. And why this video will be taken down.
Just purely out of curiosity, did he ever write lyrics/music going back to 1970? If so did he write, in has last albums with Sabbath? I know was deep in the bag at this point in his life, and it was only going to get worse, Randy's death certainly didn't help. It sounds like Ozzy was only the name, they needed in order to sell.
@@xXPyrophorusXx Ozzy didn't write lyrics. Geezer wrote the lyrics in Black Sabbath. Ozzy created the vocal melodies which mostly follow the guitar/bass riffs.
@@xXPyrophorusXx Ozzy's solo career was originally going to just be billed as "BLIZZARD OF OZZ" - which was the band for the album. Geezer Butler (Bass player in Sabbath) wrote much of the lyrics. Ozzy's contribution to writing songs has mostly always been writing the vocal melodies.
@@TweedSuit,
Yes, Ozzy wrote a couple or a few songs. I can't remember all of them, but "Goodbye To Romance" is one of them, which is about him not being in Black Sabbath anymore.
"Revelations (Mother Earth)" is another great Ozzy Osbourne/Randy Rhodes tune.
Especially live. Tribute album.
@@michaelevans3477 Best song on the album..
@@nicolemichlovsky2505 Definitely! Randy really shows how crazy-talented he was. Played that song to death on repeat back in my college days.
All “abored” was bad enough, but I checked out after “that’s how it go’s.” I can only imagine the rest. Hope J enjoyed the song.
It didn't get much better. 😂
Ah, good old phonetics. Lol.
🖕
Pablo Zee lol
Worse, still, it was "thats how it go's." A neglected apostrophe and a catastrophe apostrophe.
OZZY!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️. This song was co-written with Randy Rhodes, and 1 other guy that I can’t remember at the moment. But it was written about the Cold War, when nobody knew what was gonna happen. Ozzy RULES!!!
I have always held that Americans have more in common with each other than not, we all just have so many different ways to say the same thing. County and the Blues tell the same tales, just with difrent rythms.
