Sounds like Ame is really wanting a place to call home with more space, possibly a hub where she can just chill for a few days then go out on the road. Would suggest buying small plot with a tiny home as a remedy so that she can feel grounded when needed. 😊
A bus would be great to live in, but realistically would be massively restrictive in terms of travelling, fuelling, stealth camping etc. (in Europe at least). If you had a piece of land to put it on and then have a smaller van for actually going places, then it could be a winner!
A bus? Nope. Cost of running it.diesel etc. Restricting where you can go, and don't forget the new licence you would need, tests etc to be legal to drive it
Love it how Ame goes quite quiet around her Mum. She does demure with aplomb! As for the bus idea, she won't be able to drive it on a normal car licence so she'll need to do a driving course! 😊
Rob, Charlotte, and Ame, so great to see y'all together again, and especially with Charlotte well again. I've missed you folks, but that okay during this time of recuperating, "alls well that ends well". I like the large bus idea, but I would say that Ame should do plenty of research first, but I also know that Ame is one smart cookie and will eventually make a good decision. The large bus will create an adjustment to her travels and parking convenience. I like the idea of Ame having more room to work, most likely a full sized shower, and a larger kitchen and bedroom, which will be very nice. It's finally her decision and I'll support whatever decision she makes. Love you all very much, and give greetings to Charlotte and Ame, and don't forget to include the dear pups. God bless y'all and keep you safe and healthy! 💯🙏❤️🌹
Haha Rob, these are the familiar DIY tragedies we've all been through for our wives 😉. You have my fullest sympathy. But you handled it really well. Charlotte, so soon after this tough time, you look adorable again. That makes me very happy. As for Amé's bus idea: I can totally understand that she wants more space. But it makes the problem of finding a parking space even worse.
I’m sure they’re aware how much harder maneuvering a bus will be. Seeing as how they’ve had issues in the past with just the van, don’t you think they’ve already played it out in their heads how hard it’d be in a bus. 🙄
The bus Idea is a romantic concept but buses are expensive guzzlers when it comes to diesel and also insurance costs are high not to mention mot and toad tax. To use such a bus in the UK you must be over 21 Have a driving licence that allows you to drive vehicles over 3.5 tonnes GVW unless you passed your test for a standard car licence before 1January1997 when that limit rises to 7.5 tons GVW GVW means fully loaded. Most European buses start at 8.5 tonnes and would require a D or D1 additional component on your licence. A category C licence (included in pre 1997 car driving licences) would also be suitable for non commercial use of a converted bus. In either case the bus must not carry more than 8 people including the driver
It’s a great idea to have a bus. I think rob and Charlotte should live with Ame. If designed right it would be amazing xx❤ varnish the cupboards couple coats after painting rob so they can be cleaned ❤
Ame is better getting a AWD or 4WD sprinter van and going on from there. And re-customize it more to her likings. You both might want to look into bigger camper trucks. But with European city and small town roads, not sure if that’s practical.
Yes on the bus build. It will be great content. Retired school buses are a lot cheaper than a Motor Coach / Tour Bus. They are very popular here in the USA. I am in the process of doing one myself.
YES AME ❤ a very cool idea to convert a bus. I would have every confidence in you being able to drive and handle a bus but what about drivers licence regulations for a vehicle of that size and weight ? I met Joan Baez once in North Wales during the interval of her concert I was at and Joan travelled in the most awesome tour bus. I was living off grid in a Bedford van at the time (1999) and I went out to the car park of the North Wales theatre venue to check on and walk my dog. And Joan emerged from her fabulous hotel on wheels and was admiring my Lurcher Cassie that's how a conversation started. You go for it Ame and I am sure you will make a great job of a conversion. Your free spirit was born for the lifestyle on the road. Peace and Love. xx 🚍🛣️🌅
in Poland, you can get a crazy-long Mercedes van that seats up to 30. The van in question is known as the Mercedes Sprinter 29+1, because you're functionally seating 29 passengers in addition to the driver.
So happy to see you back, for upgrades - you all look great & it’s especially good to see Charlotte looking so radiant & healthy. Ame, you crack me up - “premium transportation in Gloria”, love you & your Sass! 😂❤ I already subscribed to the new channel from the last video as I love your content! And hmm, Gloria XL - could be cool, except the IKEA part, NO 😳 you’re so much more creative than that & with help it would be a functional masterpiece as your new home! Loving the “Rise Up” groove too, yes you are ~ I believe that was from your playlist Rob! Cheers & much love! ❤💕 💫
Charlotte ❤ it's brilliant to see you well again. I hope you kicked Rob's butt good and hard over the handles debacle. Quite a good laugh was had.😂 Take care you're looking absolutely wonderful and beautiful as ever. Peace and Love xx 💐
Hello Rob, Charlotte, and Guest Ame. It was great to see Charlotte back in her usual no-nonsense, Straight Talking style after that nasty spell with Legionnaires Disease. Well done Rob for doing up the cupboards and giving it a fresh, clean look. As for painting the fridge, yes, go for it! So Ame wants to get a bus but the problem is where is she going to park it when going into the small towns. Anyway, great video and looking forward to seeing another video. Take care from London UK 🇬🇧
Yeah full the holes sand them ,I don't know super glue them on ,there's always solutions .and she would need a hgv licence , and more diesel money ,and finding parking space, i dont like putting downers on dreams , but always look at the negatives first , then go ahead after the considerations . The plus side ,a big home on wheels with more mod cons and space , it would be cool . Lovely jubbley ✌️
Good job Rob, but maybe get Charlotte to spray some washer to cover the existing holes next time, save all that messing around with filler etc. Ame with a bus would suit her down to the ground, but no easy parking anymore or small town or country roads and they're not cheap to run, 15 to the gallon if your lucky with a following wind, which in the real world is about 10 or less. Charlotte looks well on the mend with the raunchy hair and her smile, lets hope she stays that way.
When I first started RV living I had a 33ft Southwind. There were challenges galore. (Like the time I busted my dinette window cuz I did not swing wide enough around a guard shack. Or the time I knocked a lady’s side mirror off . The knocks I got from PoPo(👮) to move vehicle. Was great while I parked in desert, but when I traveled for summer in smaller vehicle upon my return it had mice pee smell cuz they invaded when no one there.
I will make it to France at some point, and treat all three of you fun people to a fabulous lunch. That is like a bucket list thing. *Awesome job on those cabinets, Rob! Beautiful work! 👍
good evening , If Ame wants to do a Bus conversion, i think she should do a conversion of a London Double Decker, and paint it pink, and thence could do a remake film of Summer Holiday
Glad to see Charloette looking so healthy. A bus would have more room for Ame & lots of advantages; however, how would parking be?. It depends if Ame values being on the go or would like to be stationary from time to time.
Cramped from the sun glasses.😂😂only joking,it's good seeing you all again enjoying life and enjoying the amazing views down the south of France.Fair play on the work.one step at a time and the van will look legend. Big bus takes bigger spaces to park and more fuel costs.ditch it .double park up has more outdoor space ro enjoy Charlotte's fabulous cooking. Gold handles looks fab. Fridge...f..k it.. Be brave go with the paint job. Again ❤that your back on the tube. Always enjoy your vlogs and the different outlook on life all of you portray.
Bus idea for Ame Approved !!!! a Bus for camper van life it means a real home... hi Rob Charlotte and Ame !!! its a real pleasure for me to see your adventures in Provence ...Thank you so much...🥰🥰🥰👍🙏
Hello you guys, good to see we all again.😂 Uh oh, measure twice buy once I guess. But the cupboards do look nice. Git a short buss. It'd be like just a great big van. A bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
"do you think Ame should get a bus?" I hear that busses need alot more maintenance, and that they generally breakdown kind of as a regular bus thing. It wouldn't be worth the hassle for me, but I'm definitely not very knowledgeable about busses and vehicles in general, just my 2 cents
I still think you should move to the Shetland islands. I only knew one person who lived in a former United Parcel Service van with his dog. And you’ll find gold prospectors living in vans at Nome, Alaska.😊
A bus sounds great, but think of the running costs, diesel and stuff, but at least you could just deck out the whole roof in solar and save a bit maybe.
Glad you’re all doing better. Just saw the episode about Legionnaires. Crikey! Made sure to turn on notifications so I don’t fall behind again. Cheers.
Get a tiny home on wheels and pull it with your van when needed to a new location. Of course need to find people with Land letting you leave it there and live there, as long you want… A Bus, London Doppeldecker, was my childhood dream, but as CSW76 mentioned…it will be a pain to have… another dream is to have this docking station parks/lands where one tuck oneself in with tiny home, van. itś called camping places probably, I know I know…but I see lush parks with proper docking to Facility and a deck in the midst of community gardens, arts and privacy. I can see it with closed eyes…dreamers Joy :)
Great to see you both back, some of those celebrities hire those buses just for touring, could go mini bus but fuel, servicing etc. I would go for a large caravan with aircon, oven, double bed, alarm system, at least you can unhook it leave it then use the van, I used to drive a class 2 HGV and it's not easy driving around towns or cities. Best wishes
I think she should do whatever makes her happy. If she decides that she no longer likes it she can sell it and go a different route. However I will say she likes to go to a lot of really beautiful tucked away places she may not be able to get to in a bus, and that may push her to find brand new beautiful places
When I was a kid living in England back in the 60's and early 70's I remember watching a Cliff Richard movie called Summer Holiday and he drove around England and Europe in a double decker bus with a bunch of friends, I always wanted to do that. Anyway I was thinking get a double decker bus and Ame can live up stairs and you and Charlotte live down stairs. LMFAO. Even better, make a few extra bedrooms and make it like a traveling hotel, driving people to different cities, you'll make a killing. Film it and sell it to the BBC.. A cross between Fawlty Towers and On the Buses. LOL
Re the bus, maybe. But as some said, you might need another licence.you can't just pop into town with it.limited places to park, much heavier on fuel. The advantage? Way more comfortable living. You could meet halfway maybe and do a Luton van conversion for example. Gloria is a bit small to be honest.
Looking nice and minty fresh Rob, very satisfying. Best wishes to Charlotte. Ame might take a peek at Mel’s Big Van Small World. He’s currently campervanising a mini-bus sized Vario in the UK, but I don’t think he’s fitted a bath 😂. They seem a popular choice but a lot of work. Still, wouldn’t it be fun 😊
There are so many awesome skoolie conversions on YT. Please look there before being set on an old tour bus. Any bus is better made than an RV (caravan) as well. If y'all decide to live together on a bus you may want to retain at least one of your vans for short day-trips. No matter what y'all decide, I know it will turn out terrific!
Hey Rob, Charlotte and Amelise. How are you finding it, working on the van again? As its been a while. Is it giving you flashbacks to when you first designed and put the van together? Back then van-life was but a dream and a twinkle in your eyes! 😉It's always lovely to see you altogether and moving on from the very grim start to 2024. Onwards and upwards for you all! And the Camper Van Challenge Dream is about to come true 🙏 Take care, Michael PS WOW Gloria XXXXL. It would go along the lines of the upgrade Amelise did for Katana the other day. It would be dramatically impressive but where could you ever park it? And there is zero incognito mode with it lol And I imagine would not do many country roads or mountain passes. Maybe Amelise keeps Gloria around for those kind of journeys; but have the bus as a permanent home with everything she needs in it.
You could convert a bus thats been used for carrying disabled people that’s been taken out of service but there’s a lot of work involved. The one good thing about any public service vehicle is that they are serviced to within an inch of their life on a regular basis so mechanically they should be reliable. But the problem comes getting a license to drive one. Any vehicle over 8 seats needs a PCV license here in the UK and I would assume the same laws apply in Europe An RV possibly is able to be driven on a car licence but you would need to investigate that.
Rob's new name - Straight Eye Rob!! Measurements are spot on.. no need to get the tape out love... lmao .. Bro that was funny as fook 🤣Great to see Mrs Rob back in action.. Looks amazing and witty as ever!. So happy your all ok .. missed you all and glad ur back. much love and respect xx BUS +1 HELL YEAH
Should of taken a handle with you when you went shopping! lol. sorry had to. Gold ones look ace with the cupboard colour. Ame could have a bus and a moped (town weapon), put a bike rack on the rear of the bus for when on the move.
Bus is only worthwhile doing if, its going to be permanently sited somewhere. Even then you nay as well get a lodge or a static caravan, better still build a wood cabin.
Ame , Did you ever think 🤔 about getting a jeep wrangler and towing it with your van ? Kinda gives you a backup plan if you're van was to break down ? Cause, a bus is hard to drive around and find parking spots. Myself I think 🤔 your tired and wanna house 🏠 ? I've been watching yours , Mum and dad's videos for along time here in America 🇺🇸 and I think 🤔 you and your family are awesome 👌 Thanks for sharing.
Would’ve gone and bought the proper handles instead of wasting time filling those and making more of a mess but I first would start by cleaning out the van!!! I couldn’t watch anymore once you started sanding and painting with all that’s in your van….cheers!
Sounds like Ame is really wanting a place to call home with more space, possibly a hub where she can just chill for a few days then go out on the road. Would suggest buying small plot with a tiny home as a remedy so that she can feel grounded when needed. 😊
Great idea but that’s going to cost a nice chunk of money. Land is not cheap. Materials to build any size home aren’t cheap. 🙃
And there lies in the problem with making a living off UA-cam. No savings, 401k or IRA to help you out. Still I wish the best for Ame & her family!
A bus would be great to live in, but realistically would be massively restrictive in terms of travelling, fuelling, stealth camping etc. (in Europe at least). If you had a piece of land to put it on and then have a smaller van for actually going places, then it could be a winner!

Don't get me going on Brexit
Don't forget, the larger the vehicle, the more difficult it is to park up for the night..... 🌛
@@martingump I’m sure they know this. I’m sure they’ve already had conversations of this seeing as how they’re the ones who would drive the bus.
Hi guys it looks like there is black and green mould in your vent fan - spray with vinegar and wipe it for safety
The cupboards and handles look beautiful!
Rob, Charlotte, and Ame, so great to see y'all together again, and especially with Charlotte well again. Ame and her mom look so much alike!
And where would you be parking this bus ,
Just respray the old handles gold ?
Haha Rob, these are the familiar DIY tragedies we've all been through for our wives 😉. You have my fullest sympathy. But you handled it really well. Charlotte, so soon after this tough time, you look adorable again. That makes me very happy. As for Amé's bus idea: I can totally understand that she wants more space. Thank you ray. Unfortunately it’s not possible as we still don’t know where she got it from. All tests have come back negative including the van.

+1 vote for a bus build (or any Gloria v2 build). Deserves its own channel - joint venture between yourself and Ame.
A bus for you guys too
Even a mini bus could be converted with a bigger bed, shower/ toilet etc...go for it Ame!
Yes on the bus build. It will be great content. Retired school buses are a lot cheaper than a Motor Coach / Tour Bus. They are very popular here in the USA. I am in the process of doing one myself.

Loved watching you painting, very asmr. You’re such a hard worker.
Sending the 5 of y’all love from Texas. 🥰
Boeing 747 can even fit a double-height ball room and mini aquapark 😂 plus some airports are close to beach)
Charlotte ❤ it's brilliant to see you well again. I hope you kicked Rob's butt good and hard over the handles debacle. Quite a good laugh was had.😂 Take care you're looking absolutely wonderful and beautiful as ever. Peace and Love xx 💐
You used filler on BOTH holes for each?? You could have used one of the preexisting holes for each handle.
It makes sense to just buy a nice size camper/rv. Bathroom there, space, can be renovated etc. So many sizes.
Hello Rob, Charlotte, and Guest Ame. It was great to see Charlotte back in her usual no-nonsense, Straight Talking style after that nasty spell with Legionnaires Disease. So glad to see Charlotte is doing well!! I was worried about her.
One problem with a bus here in the US is that a lot of campgrounds prohibit them. You might want to check on that, it could be a deal-breaker.
Family is everything.
Love the bus idea! Charlotte is looking more beautiful than ever !
I will make it to France at some point, and treat all three of you fun people to a fabulous lunch. That is like a bucket list thing.
*Awesome job on those cabinets, Rob! Beautiful work! 👍
Van is looking very nice! Great colour choice.Ame should get a pink motorhome! 💗
good evening , If Ame wants to do a Bus conversion, i think she should do a conversion of a London Double Decker, and paint it pink, and thence could do a remake film of Summer Holiday
Would love seeing Ame in a short bus 🚌 and sooo nice van looks 😮love that paint and handles ty for sharing.. so glad you guys back on track 👣
Lady's lookin' great again. And Charlotte. Wonderfull she did recover fully. And Rob?... You can be proud on those two, Dude.😅🤣
Glad to see Charloette looking so healthy. A bus would have more room for Ame & lots of advantages; however, how would parking be?. It depends if
Ame values being on the go or would like to be stationary from time to time.
Fill only one whole and drill one new whole....workload less 50%?? Not sure if it's a good idea but thought of mentioning it.
9:40 August Town, what a tune. 😎
Cramped from the sun glasses.😂😂only joking,it's good seeing you all again enjoying life and enjoying the amazing views down the south of France.Fair play on the work.one step at a time and the van will look legend. Again ❤that your back on the tube.

Brilliant job Rob, glad to see you well Charlotte! Lovely to see Ame too♥️
Hello you guys, good to see we all again.😂
Uh oh, measure twice buy once I guess. But the cupboards do look nice.
Git a short buss. It'd be like just a great big van. A bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
You three are the best! Next time I am in France, coffee my treat!
Get a bus but a small one - better still a coach so you can use coach parking
Very nice to see you together forever 🙏🙏

Looks amazing and witty as ever!. So happy your all ok .. missed you all and glad ur back. much love and respect xx BUS +1 HELL YEAH
Yes a bus for Amie would suit her perfect ! Just think of the bath and wardrobe she can build :) not to mention the shadelier hanging !
Should of taken a handle with you when you went shopping! lol. sorry had to. Gold ones look ace with the cupboard colour.
Ame could have a bus and a moped (town weapon), put a bike rack on the rear of the bus for when on the move.
Oh yes to the bus…….if it’s possible to do so. A great deal to consider of course. Good luck . Wish you all the best..
Bus is only worthwhile doing if, its going to be permanently sited somewhere. Even then you nay as well get a lodge or a static caravan, better still build a wood cabin.
I think a pink porsche and a house would be great.
The cupboards and handles look amazing i love the colour
I'm so happy to see you are back . We can't wait to see it all dunn, on your van. Love the color .😊 Happy days ahead for you.
Love the new colour and gold handles❤ looks awesome ❤
Great too see you back ❤️❤️❤️
Everything does look great. Excellent design choices Charlotte and expertly applied, Rob! All the best... and happy Easter. 🙏🐰✝️
Yes get a bus!!!! But it will be harder to find parking
I’ve missed u guys so much!!! I am so happy u are in better health right now Charlotte!! You are looking beautiful as ever! Love ur family ❤❤
Ame ,
Did you ever think 🤔 about getting a jeep wrangler and towing it with your van ? Kinda gives you a backup plan if you're van was to break down ? Cause, a bus is hard to drive around and find parking spots. Myself I think 🤔 your tired and wanna house 🏠 ? I've been watching yours , Mum and dad's videos for along time here in America 🇺🇸 and I think 🤔 you and your family are awesome 👌 Thanks for sharing.
Great to see you guys back. ❤
Would’ve gone and bought the proper handles instead of wasting time filling those and making more of a mess but I first would start by cleaning out the van!!! I couldn’t watch anymore once you started sanding and painting with all that’s in your van….cheers!
Idea: how about a Shuttle passenger van? Maybe more space, more easily parked than big bus and will look like you are taking peeps on a tour? Maybe?
Another great video guys ❤
Ame and a Bus...love this idea.
Yessss, get a bus!! Gloria XL
Great to see you folks back, and Rob you need to have a beer while you do that.
