Just made this video literally as I've have enough of this printer and Elegoos run around with constantly buying time by claiming they have fixed the solution when rumors tell me otherwise. To this day I have not seen a fully functional Pro Unit that does not suffer as a result of the poor array design.
My advice to anyone out there thinking of buying resin printer is to simply stay away from the pro or return it and buy a resin printer without an array. Period.

Hey yo, just wanted to say thanks for your posts about this. It was your queen head print's lines and even gouges that brought this whole grid thing to my attention over on the FB group (can't remember your name on there!), and I am completely new to resin printing and unfortunately have started with the Mars Pro in June. I too didn't buy from Amazon, but I think I might be getting sorted with a return now as these replacement parts are a month off and actually a bit beyond what I'm comfortable fitting. What a bad design move this grid array was and I wish it had been covered more! Also that they Elegoo may be stuck with it for the first Saturn release...
I bought my marspro in June as well! I can't believe this wasnt picked up sooner and no one mentioned it as I would have just got the original or the mars 2 pro. Many people bought the marspro because of the hype surrounding it, myself included.
@@Cloakfiend I think we just got what are affectionately being referred to as Corona-Pro's, which seem to have a worse fitting grid and array (part shortage? no QC testing?) compared to the 2019 ones (which apparently had 3d printed parts as their caddys), so it wasn't as much of a detectable problem back then. As a newbie I thought the lines and holes were my own learning hurdles, but they were happening too uniformly. When everyone such as yourself pooled their knowledge and found the interim sanding fix, it was kinda funny to find out I'd been playing on 'Hard Mode' this entire time. Pretty bum pick for my first ever 3D printer!
@@luckettx the pro is my first resin printer also! Talk about learning the hard way! And there i was thinking my supports must have failed! At least i know why they failed now! Most important thing was to get a well leveled buildplate I found. Then you can just concentrate on the support placement and other stuff!

Hello! What's your conclusion on Mars pro print quality once the array tray is modified? They are being sold super cheap at 135€. Is it worth it at this price point?
Once the Grid issue is sorted, the mars pro prints are better quality than the mars2 pro .The mars pro now has a mono screen available as well but not sure if it better.
There are two think and to original in the link you provided. What is the difference between the 25.5mm and 26.5mm?
Elegoo will just send you a new one now ao no point. Im not sure if the author changed it a bit i didnt actually make it. No difference i think maybe spacers but i think one is slightly curved a bit more on the inside blades.
Damn eh, and I see the mars 2 pro is having issues as well, such a shame as it should print really fast. I really want a machine with air filtration.
Have you heard of the Qidi 5.5 3d printer?
Its not so bad but the screen scratching sucks. Once you level it then its fine. But the screen.. i dont know its a trade off.
Well i just received my ledpanel fix from Elegoo. And it didnt Help that much. Im waiting now for elegoo to answer...that really sucks.
Sounds like you're pretty much done with the Pro, but what about printing the array support grid in clear resin?
Dont do it! It has to block leaking light. Not let it in! It has to be made out of an opaque material. (Basically not see through)
it has to be solid color or else you will get other hotspots. Im really piseed with elegoo to be honest. I bought it for work and I did think it was my fault getting all this errors. I did tried everything from trying different resins to times, etc and now it's too late to return it.
@@Mr_Ponzo So much of these printers are rushed to market. That's why I refuse (as tempting as it is) to be an early adopter and pre-order the latest and greatest printer. Let someone else be the paid beta tester, if they enjoy that sort of thing.
@@Mr_Ponzo I wasted about three months trying as well!! Should have just stuck to the mars.
@@JohnJones-oy3md my mistake was not buying on amazon!! Lol. Made returning it near impossible! I just cant enjoy this printer anymore. I only see the errors in the prints. Regardless of how good and high res they are.

Thanks, It needs to be done! There's not enough information about resin printers. I can't trust any of the current youtube 'reviewers'. They got me into this mess by literally reading out marketing talk as if it were real. I mean who on earth really things the array is better than a point light???? Seriously...

Dont worry so did i! It should really be recalled. But my last ditch hope is the last fix. Lets see what that brings! Ill keep updating on this topic until it gets properly addressed! Elegoo are giving people the run around buying time by sending out fixes that dont actually work.
Tell you why the replacement sat in the airport - Covid. Still a pain in the ass though.

@@peterwhittaker9353 i ordered from amazon. But im afraid its faulty as well. Just no good. Weird noises from the z axis nothing sticks to the plate creaking noises and just non stop failures. Im sending mine back tomorrow..... what a joke. Ive tried non stop to print my test print queen model. But ive had over 20 failures in a row. Ive sanded the plate warmed the resin, relubed everything, releveled it over and over and no luck.
My pro 2 is arriving today, will let you know how it goes
