All the "scattering wind" talk that starts around 31:00, that is also what winnowing refers to (Matt. 3:12); The harvest is gathered from the floor and cast up to the heavens, exposing it to the Wind, which seizes the chaff and scatters it. Since folks around here also like chiasms, this is the parable/parabola/trajectory played out: an ascent to the heavens which incurs a separation, revealing the good fruit on the descent back down.
Maybe this is old hat around here, but it seemed to be worth saying directly.
    Best regards,
    Grant

Abraham's saving of the seed is also related to Constantine's revelation "by this sign conquer". Altar comes before throne, but the throne is necessary to offer up its heart (filled in the spirit) to the altar.

A lot of people today would call this conversation babble and while they may not say you're drunk, they'd definitely say you're crazy. They just don't have their ears and minds open to hear the words.
Before putting in any effort to try and understand, they've already decided that what they believe or follow is right, and anything you say that contradicts that or even might contradict that, is wrong. Discourse never begins. Truth never gets a chance to rise to the surface and we drown in our falsehoods, the lies we tell ourselves and others and the confusion that arises from that.

Allow me to add an interesting Hungarian angle to this awesome discussion.
    Many of us believe that:
    - Nimrod is our ancestor (still today many people name their sons Nimrod)
    - Our language is the original language (similarly to the Albanians)
    - It has divine knowledge in it (and actually it does have a type of a symbolic system that confers deeper wisdom - this is confirmed by foreigners who obtained the language)
    - We are “the nation of the seed”, and even our own name (magyar) is related to this concept

The reason Babel is spelled with one middle 'b' is because it is pronounced bay-bell.
A vowel followed by a single constanant followed by an 'e' changed the pronounciation of the vowel.
    Rout is pronounced rowt
    Whereas
    Route is pronounced root.
The above example is a prime example of where semi literate tech workers have Christened something.
A router (rowter) is a tool for chasing out timber to produce a groove. To rout (rowt) is used as a verb to describe chasing away an enemy in a battle.
The tower of Babel would be spelled Bable or Babble if it were intended to be pronounced that way.

    • @matthewkilbride1669

    • @MatthiasPendragon
      @MatthiasPendragon 10 місяців тому +4

@matthewkilbride1669 It's the fact that the virtual option is $150 bucks that gets me. I would happily pay $50 to see it all streamed, but I can't grasp how they did the math to price the virtual tickets. But who knows who actually determines the prices for these things. I have never ran a conference, so I imagine there are aspects I don't grasp.

I want to explore more deeply what is being discussed here.

I wanna talk to you about the specific dimensions/measurements. There are accepted and rigorous approaches to Jewish mysticism-that said, as a listener of yours and an analogical thinker (I can be a bit oblique), I have several different ideas, with modern maybe some implications (maybe not). I am now headed full bore into studying what I can on Hebrew numerology, merkevah, hechalot, and Kabbalah more generally to integrate into my Judaism and love of philosophy. That said, I don’t expect a response, but I couldn’t help myself from constructing a surely abstruse preamble to what would’ve been an otherwise polite and normative “thank you” comment, but I’ll redouble on gratitude with all the more vigour in my embarrassing disclosure-thank you, thank you both truly, for you are doing work that is Good.

I don`t get why is it called zigurat if it was spiral? It might be helpful for viewers like myself to have this distinction clarified in future discussions.
Plus,I found the video challenging to follow so to improve coherence, maybe a focus could be on organizing the key points in a logical sequence (more or less) and providing context for each point mentioned. While I appreciate the inclusion of links for further exploration, I often find myself short on time to check everything out and fully grasp the context. I value the opportunity to learn from your content, and I believe providing context within the video itself would greatly enhance the learning experience for viewers. Of course, these are just suggestions, and I understand if you prefer to keep your videos as they are.

Shame Dr Heiser never did the rounds with this Little Corner. Mike was pressing this stuff out decades ago.

Richard, (in your new role) I sent a message from the online conference site on Friday re: having challenges to pay online. (Won't take my card that I use everywhere online, no matter what I do.)
Will you be checking on the Contact Us messages soon? I have a message there. I know you're very busy, but I'd like to participate in the online version, if possible.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I also had trouble with one card, but tried a different one and it took it. Try a different card, it's worth a try anyway.

Unfortunately, there is no current Biblical Scholar who has pinpointed the exact archeological site for the Tower of Babel, or figuring out who Nimrod was, or figuring out the language aspect. But what if it does exist, and there are answers. And what happens if its not merely a fable or symbolic and can tell a lot more than what is represented?

I am all for reading apocrypha but also be careful not to put them on the same level as canon. It can get confusing.

34 minutes - the linguistic fall - the loss of the true knowledge/love of God through the loss of the Hebrew Language…this is what I want to see expanded upon through modern ideological capture in the West.

would be cool if you hooked up with someone like Eric July since he's his own publisher and distro for comics and all.

It may be fitting to say that religions, when they lose their way, are also 'towers'. They are certainly different languages and humanity is confused because they think only their language is the real one. Then, if the language is confused for the spiritual reality they become idols.

That Albanian thing, Armenians also have this. They insist, for example, that the Georgian language was created by an Armenian or Christ was Armenian, etc.

The Tower of Babel was a failed incarnation, like Samson? A tabernacle with a blemish, rejected by God, like Cain's sacrifice? The wind did come, but the tower couldn't host it?
