Spectrier and Suicune serving us purple hair fantasy 😍 I forgot to mention Snarl in my video - a viable option over Nasty Plot imo. It's a decent support move, deal spread damage potentially giving you 2 Grim Neigh boosts in 1 turn if you manage to get 2 KOs, and gives you a max move that increases Spectrier's damage output by lowering the opponent' Special Defense [:
The dual screens + seed/defensive Evs to make Spectrier not so frail for nasty plot boosts was super smart, and of course we love the weakness policy at the end. Great vid like always FooFoo!
Really glad you're reviewing all the Legendaries. I feel like I picked the "bad" ones (Drago and Spectrier) but you show how they can be extremely powerful, and I respect that.

Most of the teams you battle you either get some kind of luck that sets you up into an amazing position or you battle some mons that nobody will prep against. 2. Could you also possibly show us more battles of you losing or getting dumpstered by a team. Then, we will Know what strategy you are ruined by so then maybe we can prep a team with this strat on it to beat out something that could really ruin this strategy. More information about the team. 3. Do you have a twitch?

This is the first time I see Footfoo talk about the Pokemon that's actually *better* than the other. In Doubles, it's not as good as Glastrier, but Shadow Rider is actually better than Ice Rider in *both* formats.
That's definitely true about the Calyrex forms - the fact that Ice Rider gets a bit faster makes it a lot worse as it becomes less viable as a Trick Room sweeper. I guess my videos are focusing on doubles atm so Spectrier is probably the hardest to use in that format
I wouldn't say that. Having a 4x weakness with no other utility other than damage makes Shadow Rider not as good in doubles. It's always one Dark type or Ghost type attack away from being OHKO (even with Dynamax).
Prankster Quash! Awesome! It's such an underrated move, and back in gen 5 I remember running Prankster Eviolite Murkrow with it and got plenty of wins because of how unexpected the move was even then haha. Using Quash and killing things before their buffed up mon could move was always so satisfying and rage inducing at times too lol.
I'd like to share my team lead in doubles: Electroweb Regileki & Choice Band Dracovish You should try it, you can sweep team leads easily and take out focus sashes.

Dude in singles, we are pretty much already sold on Spectrier. That thing can sweep you instantly if you don't have a normal or dark type. Great vid also. I don't play doubles at all so it was very interesting to see how it fares in that setting. Amazing sets as always foofoo.
It's incredible that thanks to Dynamax, fast and frail pokemon can truly work with bulkier sets (anyways 100hp and 60def is somewhat frail, but non paper-frail, like regieleki or blacephalon)
Not many expect one to run bulk on a pokémon that has almost no bulk, but I guess have to in order to make them work in Doubles as a main sweeper! Good stuff! I really liked the use of the Grassy and Electric Seeds to help it survive. Also to answer your question towards the end, I chose Glastier, because I thought I could come up with something interesting on it by giving it Speed Swap with 0 IV Speed.
I picked Glastrier with the intent to play through a second file to get Spectrier. Plus, on my main file I had the IV checker so that made it easier to check Glastrier while with Spectrier I can just bottle cap the stats I need.
I simply ran a choice specs spectrier next to a dragon claw regidrago in a tail wind then I spammed a combination of astral barrage and dragon energy to tear things to shreds.
I've found quite a bit of success using a full speed, full sp.a jolly set. I have hyper beam instead of nasty plot and I've been using it with life orb. Its not the focus of my team though (that would be weakness policy Stakataka) So I tend to bring it in as a late game sweeper so it can cheekily finish things off and get it's boosts up.
I think that's the best way to approach Spectrier if it is not going to be your main sweeper. Using it in the way I show in the video takes a lot of support.

I got Spectrier lined up in my singles ranked (also practicing for the Crown Tundra Tournament this weekend) but I struggle to see how I am going to be able to use it for success in doubles
How would spectrier survive without grim neigh and grassy surge rillaboom to get the physical defense boost from the grassy seed when someone use regigigas and weezing? That explains why people think that spectrier is a bad veesion of dragapult even though i love spectrier because i love horses and i hate dragapult because hes ugly dragon and ghost pokemon but that IS TRUE that dragapult have more skills variation to kill various pokemons and he have more speed than spectrier and dragapult have surf to kill incineroar if you power up a sp attack and max his speed
I didn’t know it would change the horse i got and it was just a quiz on what carrot the horse would want more and that it was a tundra i chose the ice carrot and got glastrier

Ice Rider is crazy powerful, Assault Vest could definitely work
Bold of you to assume that I actually got spectrier
I only clicked because I misread the title as “Why you should pick Spectrea (and here’s why)” which is just beautiful
your nicknames always make me cackle. SHAKE N GO? lmao
[:
What is your stat spreed on Spec?
Spectrier got some good speed and sp.atk , Glastrier is good def and atk but speed is still more important
I got Spectrier lined up in my singles ranked (also practicing for the Crown Tundra Tournament this weekend) but I struggle to see how I am going to be able to use it for success in doubles
I want foofootoo to record himself saying Tapu Koko over and over again so I can use it as my ringtone.
What would be a good singles moveset for Spectrier though?
When I saw the two horses, I was like
I want the ice one.
If it turns out to be meta, that's a bonus.
Doesn't grassy terrain lessen the strength of your max quake? Would the electric seeds be better?
How would spectrier survive without grim neigh and grassy surge rillaboom to get the physical defense boost from the grassy seed when someone use regigigas and weezing?
That explains why people think that spectrier is a bad veesion of dragapult even though i love spectrier because i love horses and i hate dragapult because hes ugly dragon and ghost pokemon but that IS TRUE that dragapult have more skills variation to kill various pokemons and he have more speed than spectrier and dragapult have surf to kill incineroar if you power up a sp attack and max his speed
Hi foo love your vids
Hi!
Well, username checks out
How do you farm the nature you need with this Pokemon? Will it share the same nature as the Calyrex you catch?
What's the tankiest group and build you think possible?
You should make rental codes for these teams
what are the exact ivs of everything? i want to copy this team cause my doubles team sucks lol
Were you running max Def and SpDef? I'm just curious as I want my Spectrier to be as bulky as yours
116 HP EVs and 116 Defense EVs
I didn’t know it would change the horse i got and it was just a quiz on what carrot the horse would want more
and that it was a tundra i chose the ice carrot and got glastrier
I already chose Spectrier. :P
I used Magic Powder when catching Calyrex, so I could use False Swipe on it. (I didn't have anything handy that could get Soak, but I did have a Hatterene.)
That's really cool - I liked that some of these battles made you use some interesting capture mechanics
Can someone explain to me why you would split the Spectrier from the Calyrex? Is it illegal or something?
Would anyone use the unfused horse and Calyrex?
Yes - Calyrex is banned from the ranked battles but Spectrier can be used, so that's you're only option for competitive
@@foofootoo Neat!
This mon is getting the boot to Ubers soon
Could be, it lacks coverage but it kinda doesn't need it cos it's so strong
I picked the ice horse. I feel dumb now. I’ll see what I can do with it though.
Wow shiny ultra beast the fire type is really cool
Definitely, that blue is awesome
What are the specific EVs for Spectrier?!?
What was the EV spread you gave your horse?
