I'm sorta thinking like using it as a TR counter to Rhyperior since it's actually slower. It might be a niche counter since the Jaboca could damage it without procing the weakness policy and you have a chance to kill it even with Dynamax

Yum! It's nice to see Appletun put something like a Rowap berry to good use, even if for only a little bit. 😋 Also, that Healing Wish interaction was really unexpected! I never knew switching into a 100% healthy Pokémon doesn't waste the move's heal, and instead reserves it for the next damaged Pokémon who switches in. :o

Galar Zapdos is a fun mon. I have a rather unusual set for mine that works kinda well in Raids. Max or near Atk and Speed Item:Life Orb Thunderous Kick Drill Peck Reversal (Would get a better Physical Fighting move for there or a coverage move in there instead) Focus Energy So without Dynamax you get crits, and with Dynamax you get Atk and Speed buffs. If you get both you become quite the threat.

Love the rowap berry. In my first ever draft battle i used an anti galvantula lead mew with torment, defog, magic coat and flare blitz holding a rowap berry. I used torment turn 1 against galvantula as they set up webs, turn 2 i defoged them away and clicked magic coat to bounce them back on his side. Then galvantula cant use webs again because of torment so they attack me, i break their sash with rowap berry and take them out with flare blitz

This is a cool set. Might try it out. I've actually used an Eject Pack set on Appltun before with minimum speed. Allows you to safely switch in a more frail Pokémon after smacking your opponent with a Draco Meteor. It's fun.
Rowap and Jaboca berries should be buffed a bit, it just seems silly that a Rocky Helmet can do more damage than those without getting consumed. Yeah it does require contact so it's a bit worse in that way, but it's still arguably way better in almost all cases.
I wonder if Rowappletun could work better as a pivot / anti-Volt Switch? Use lots of Pokémon that bait water/electric/grass moves, bring it in on a resisted attack, set up Leech Seed to pressure whatever switches into it, maybe pair it with a Wish user?

If you watch the animation on Appletun as he moves, you can see a gentle sloshing side to side. All I can think is "Oh Lawd He Comin" every time I see Appletun.
I do a similar set up with Greedent. I use a Defense Berry with stuff cheeks which gives 3 stages of defense, and whenever the greedent eats a berry it heals so usually I’ll get hit turn 1, then stuff cheeks goes off and heals me to max +3 def. then I use body press with that
Counter to this strat: have a galvantula with a bug type move and gastreo acid, use the latter move then spam the former move, make sure it’s ability is unnerve, next, use a salandit/salazzle and teach it corrosive gas, then have a Pokémon with disable and torment, in doubles or non ranked, use a charizard and appletun will be forced to use something other than recover, now you have a vulnerable appletun

I’ve been using a variant of that maranga set in doubles where I have recycle instead of body press and I solely rely on apple acid to wear down any opponent. I’ve beaten so many good teams in ranked with Appleton in 1v3 situations. Appletun is definitely my new favorite Pokémon this gen.
I been trying to think up a team with WP + Defiant/Comp by dropping atk/sp. atk (which ever they don't need) a this is what I got: - Tsareena with trop kick to hit Milotic - Grimmsnarl spirit break to hit Falinks (could also go scarf to hit g-zapdos) - Not part of this idea, but confide (status: drop sp. atk by 1) is only usable by luckily grimmsnarl, so you can trigger defiant on zapdos off of that. - Moonblast on g-zapdos to have a chance to proc Defiant - Aurora beam to have a chance to proc Comp on G-Articuno

rippen also effects leftovers or at least it says it does so try a max hp growth leachseed one if you want to because the same lvl cpu could not kill it unless ice stab was infolved even then it was able to keep its own (mine was lvl 62 against lvl 70 water urshifu and stalld the dinamax turns wile having 0 defence or sp def infestmint i dont even think it has good ivs so yea max hp max spatk)

My all dragon team consists of: Appleton (which I use for this exact reason) Turtonator Kingdra Kommo-o Dragapult Garchomp Had to make sure I had the standard grass, fire & water typings in there so.
Only once, but you can pair it with Recycle. Though for most Pokemon you are better using normal attacks. Appletun's Ripen just makes this a little more viable
the curse of being a grass type, with all those weaknesses, unless if maybe in doubles would changing its typing be worth it with like a soak or something?
Well, it has Thick Fat as a Hidden Ability, so some of those weaknesses are mitigated. But then you wouldn't have Ripen. ...Being a Grass-Type is hard. 😅
I just wonder why you weren't using Gmax Appletun and just using dynamax appletun ah I see you explained it in the video. Makes sense the Heal from Grassy Terrain is Nice.
bruh you probably could have just swept with Nihilego that first game, Nihilego has great spdef and can take a Hydro Pump or Max Geyser from Rotom easily especially if you Dynamax and use Max Rockfall first before Rotom attacks goes off (you outspeed) and the resulting sandstorm would boost your SpDef even higher. Only thing that would have maybe stopped that sweep would be if the Tapu Lele had Choice Scarf and Psyshock

Unfortunately Defiant and Competitive only activate if the opponent drops your stats, not if you drop your own Pokémon's stats

That's Gigantamax Flapple's G-Max effect. The two Gigantamax forms are visually identical.

Only once, but you can pair it with Recycle. Though for most Pokemon you are better using normal attacks. Appletun's Ripen just makes this a little more viable
You should try to use this in doubles format with a dusclops and night shade

It's typing is definitely not ideal for a bulky Pokemon
Well, it has Thick Fat as a Hidden Ability, so some of those weaknesses are mitigated. But then you wouldn't have Ripen.

What if you use it on a cheek pouch I know it be more passive and will be less damage but I think you mai find a better candidate for the strategy

bruh you probably could have just swept with Nihilego that first game, Nihilego has great spdef and can take a Hydro Pump or Max Geyser from Rotom easily especially if you Dynamax and use Max Rockfall first before Rotom attacks goes off (you outspeed) and the resulting sandstorm would boost your SpDef even higher. Only thing that would have maybe stopped that sweep would be if the Tapu Lele had Choice Scarf and Psyshock
But I was trying to get content for an Appletun video and it is one of the best Rotom answers in the game.😁
