My thoughts on Resident Evil 8 Village, it's pretty good overall.
Some of you don't enjoy it cuz it's less scarier

Resident Evil Village theories during lockdowns was so good.

The only problem I had with village is lady.D was restricted and where she should go in her own castle.They should Have just unrestricted Her and then she can go anywhere, And I just wish you can do the entire story in any.What do you want Not A Restricted path.

@@lobsterclown5224 Extra scary isn't really what RE is most known for though they've always been at least a little cheesy and very cheesy with the PS1 games.
Personally I'd be totally down to have the more scary games broken off into their own side series cause the remakes are my jam but the last two mainline games don't really do it for me mostly cause the first person since it gets me motion sick but the more serious tone especially.
They also haven't had Jill in a game for a very long time if we don't count R3make (which I don't) and despite them changing his look again for 8 Mr not my Redfield just doesn't really seem like the same character as Chris despite sharing a name.
Can't wait for Resident Evil 9!

Capcom has ruined RE 3 remake, disappointed me with RE 8 a bit. But pissed off a lot of other fans with RE 6 apart from myself. I thought RE6 was a bit okay when it came out, but now I wish Capcom narrated RE6 story better.
@MadaraUchiha-ly8wr Truthfully with all those characters back in one game they should of made it like Code Veronica where actions of the previous character affected the next, and the story should been 1 story with all characters in different areas
Since January, I've been adding ~$10 - $15 to my Steam wallet every month to save up for this specific title, so that I can pre-order the ultimate edition (assuming there is one) the instant it drops. Hope it turns out to be worth it!

I hope theres a Leon, Chris and Jill game at some point, Death Island was an ok CG Movie but I think giving us a game with our characters at this point in the timeline could be interesting, they dont necessarily have to be working together at the same place or whatever, we could see the story from each perspective as they workout who the new “The Connections” threat is being led by

Yes, i thik it's time to bring all the legacy character into one frame (outside the CG Movies). Imagine RE6 (but without the over-the-top action and QTE madness) with all these legacy characters. Multiple campaigns, each character has different scenarios, playstyles and abilties.

One thing to taking into consideration is that RE9 will be the continuation of Village ever since both games were in development side by side so it is going to be interesting to see how the story progresses from there so with that being said i really hope that capcom dose not follow RE6 formula because at the end of the story in Village Chris orders his team to set a course to BSAA HQ
to find out why they are using what i saw it looked like as B.O.W soldiers( basically speaking they were deploying dead soldiers reanimated by some type of virus)
I wonder if RE9 will take place between Village and the Rose DLC. It would be interesting to see a young Rose side by side with Chris in combat: like, maybe if she's still not in control of her powers, she accidentally creates a zombie mold among soldiers
@@irelandcook8298 yes it will be interesting to see but although Rose didn't liked to be treated as a B.O.W she was infact happy to be human by getting rid of her powers but ultimately she ended up getting her powers back in order to save her father and finish off Mother Miranda for good. Unfortunately she is in trouble again by getting her powers she has become a part of the Megamycete's control

I don’t know but I grew up with resident evil and honestly I like all games where you see the characters I hate these one shooters where you just see their hands there should be an option where you can pick which way you wanna play and I enjoyed re6 I’m not sure why everyone hates it so much I also enjoyed re5

The open world rumors bother me. I like feeling “boxed in”. Not sure how an open world model would help increase the survival horror aspect. But still stoked AF to see what they give us

I’d rather be cautious & skeptical on what to believe. We hear a lot of rumors on new RE releases that, personally, show me a trailer or I don’t buy it.
I think re9 will go something like the black death / plague because they hinted many times that a world wide outbreak happened in medieval times
Maybe I missed that (I do understand the Black Death occurrence), but were there hints saying there was an earlier attempt by someone to create something similar to the T-Virus, etc, in medieval times or just referring back to history and those particular outbreaks?
Historically-speaking, the Bubonic Plague, also known as "The Black Death," was a bacterial pandemic that began in roughly 1331 in Europe, and took over 80 years to burn out.
That said, to my knowledge, the Black Death began when it struck China prior to 1331, at least 3 times. It is why the Forbidden City in China was built, at the same time Chinese royalty and nobility set into place cleanliness programs.
This all ended when Genghis Khan invaded and defeated the Chinese. Getting rid of the cleanliness programs, this allowed the Plague to travel by flea-infested rats along the Silk Road to modern-day Ankara, Turkey, in only a few months. The Silk Road was the original route Marco Polo established as the land route between Europe and China.
From Ankara, a voyage of roughly 6-8 weeks then would have merchants carrying the flea-infested rats to Venice, Italy. At the time, Venice was the most-used port of entry into Europe, and at the time of the Plague in 1331, boasted a population of roughly 20,000 people.
Due to hygenic conditions in Europe being horrible, once the initial ship carrying the flea-infested rats docked in Venice, it took only a fortnight -- 14 days -- for the Black Plague to kill 80% of the population. In other words, 14 days for a sickness to kill 16,000 people.
By the time of the 14th day, the other 4,000 people left Venice, and inadvertantly took the Plague with them. Historical sources estimate that by 1348, breathing the very air could kill a person in a matter of hours. As a result, such sayings as, "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may die" were seen as grim attempts at humor in the face of the Black Death.
By the time the final wave of the Black Death occurred, in Europe alone, more than 2 out of every 3 people were killed. The mortality rate was 66%, and the body count is believed to be more than 200 million people, at a time in history when military forces numbered only in the tens of thousands, such as the Battle of Agincourt, France, where 6,000 English troops defeated 15,000 French troops. Yet the Plague killed roughly 200 million people, for comparison.
By any stretch, it is a small miracle of probability that human civilization ever survived the Plague at all.
Honestly RE games are all I really look forward to anymore.

I hope it's more like RE7 and the RE2 remake, but assuming that it continues from RE8's ending where Chris and the Hound Wolf Squad are planning to storm the BSAA's European headquarters, it'll most likely be heavily action oriented which is a bummer.
My main concern is that in RE9 Jill should have a prominent return, although I'm kinda hoping Code Veronica Remake comes out first😊

RE7 and RE8 are amazing but have felt like side games. I believe RE2 and RE4 remake were so well received was because it feature main characters and storylines.
Peep game, it is a side story. Was Ethan Winters part of Alpha or Bravo Team? Look on the covers of the cases, there is no Resident Evil 7 or Resident Evil 8 on them, only Vii & Viii, and both Roman numerals are hidden inside the titles, not underneath them. I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom said here's Resident Evil 7 here you go & broke the internet. Supposing the next one isn't IX anyway lol. IMO though Resident Evil was 0 & 1-3 & ended with Code Veronica, the true RE 4.

I think Carlos, Billy, and Hunk should return as well.

Resident evil was always my favorite series growing up, but the last of us zombies sure do hit different, plus the amazing storyline was a rollercoaster
I hope they bring back the action horror sci-fi genre of the game with the apocalyptic moments in the game i miss that genre.
Leon is most likely to return because Chris is going up against BSAA Europe and in vendetta Leon kinda helped BSAA, so Chris might ask for his help again.

I am a diehard RE fan although I haven't played any of the new RE games or any games for years. I recently have had a bunch of time off work and just finished the RE2 remake which I thought was good. Very happy they did not go with the RE4 route (which I never played because of the high speed mechanics and untraditional survival horror theme) and stuck with the slow suspenseful, methodical way of going through the game. All the while staying pretty true to the original maps, characters and storyline but modernized. Steam had a deal for RE2, RE3 and Resistance (which I never heard of) in a bundle so I got it and am excited to see how they did RE3 cause that was my favorite of the originals (loved the mercenaries game and all of the extra content, really made beating the game multiple time worth it). Not sure what those clips were from but if I had to guess it looks like RE is getting away from all of it's original content, which could either go well or badly. Honestly, at this point there is nowhere else for them to go lol so I hope they knock it out of the park with an all new storyline and characters but maybe still keep that original suspenseful horror system. I may not like every game of the RE series but will always be a diehard original diehard RE fan!

I really want to see the reveal soon cause I really like this series. They better have gotten the game right with this big budget they had storyline, shooting, camera angles cause the main question is will it be in 1st or 3rd POV I like the 1st POV cause I grew up with those games. If the game does very well I can’t wait to see what they do for RE10 and the 30th anaversary.

If the leaks are true I'm extremely skeptical when it comes to open world games as I don't have time for most of them I pick one and stick to it. But the Singapore influence if true would be perfect imo haven't really seen it outside of RE6 so I'll be extremely excited if true and fingers crossed for the "open world" to be like RE4s Village
