The fact that Wesker passes on the controls to Chris - delegating responsibility and quite literally leaving Chris to fend for himself in the mansion - is so gloriously meta I can't contain myself

These three guys deserve more for their iconic roles in the original games.
CAPCOM should bring them back as Chris’ Spec Ops team from RE8 unmasked in RE9 and use their face models.

Even with the tank controls, I can't emphasize enough how great it was to solve puzzles and fight zombies for the first time in a 3D environment as a young teenager in the 90s. This game was awesome at the time.

yeah wesker especially his face fits his voice like a glove.
The artwork was done first then they casted them based on who looked the most like the illustrations. I think they did a decent job considering how inexperienced they all were.
I got this game christmas eve 1998 and I still got it to this day. Who would've thought 25 years later I'd be watching these actual guys playing this
In 97, when I was playing this game for the first time, I could never ever imagined to meet Burry, Chris, and Wesker together playing this game!! This is absolutely awesome! This is something blows my mind out!

The internet is amazing. Thank you so much for putting these videos together with these guys. It gets me emotional thinking about playing these games with my brothers during my childhood. That Capcom logo, using tank controls for the first time, and taking turns on the same save file. It's pure nostalgia and I'm so grateful to be able to experience this. Now I'm as old as these guys were when they filmed for the game. Feels like yesterday, man.
Any true fan of the Resident Evil franchise should be nerding out like a MF right now, these are the OG Resident Evil characters right here and they deserve a lot of respect.
We absolutely need a movie where these guys reprise their roles as the characters in a story truly linked to canon.

Huge shout-out to the original cast. You have no idea how impactful Resident Evil 1 was to this young twenty-something (at the time). A true classic.
The trick is to run past all of the enemies, and only kill certain enemies. There are a few different ways to get around the mansion, so if you clear one path, you can save a lot of ammo for later on, when the game gets to be more intense.
THIS IS WHAT IVE WAITED FOR THANK YOU!!!! Its so incredible to live in an age were fans can connect with actors even from past projects and show them how their work had impacted a generation. Their reactions are priceless.

Im grateful to see when actors works garner unexpected results much like how samurai cops star matt hamon was able to revitalize some of his long awaited praise for his cult hit. No need to be a snob simply bc one enjoys expressing excitement.
@@VladAngelOfDarkness i hope a similar set to worked on for code veronicas voice cast but especially Alyson Court. One work id love to see played and interviewed would be for Resident Evil Outbreak. Alyson Court was very involved with that project along with knwoing some of the ideas that were cut.

What a treat. God bless these guys for being so involved with the series. They deserve every single piece of credibility they get. To this day these characters are associated with these actors in my head. Hats off to all of them and the people in charge of this channel and who organized everything to get them back.

At first it's weird but I didn't take me long to get it, that was part of gaming back then, they were inventing all these different games and controls, there was no blue print for how to make a game like today, plus the tank controls were necessary for the camera angles
I adore tank control, I like how they are super intuitive once you master them. But I totally agree they are hard at first, especially for non gamer like these guys. I actually loved this era of gaming when there was no standard for controls, every game was quite different just about their feel for that reason.

I honestly would be very okay with a new resident evil game that went back to the set camera angles and tank controls. They were challenging to learn at first...but once I got used to it, I loved them.

I can't believe it, the actors that I have seen so many times in my life because I love RE1 and the live action video at the begining is really cool. It's like a Saturday film on public TV hahahah. I wish they kept making these live action opening bits for at least one through three. They should even make them a tradition for every RE game as secret unlockables, maybe ridiculously well hidden seeing how now is the age of the internet, as a huge running joke and fan service.

I was fortunate enough of having an older brother that bought himself the Director's Cut version of this game. So when he was done playing it, I went ahead and played it myself. Its a good thing PS2s were and are backwards compatible with PS games, otherwise I would never have witnessed, first hand, this masterpiece of a game in its original uncut form.
Backwards compatibility and a DVD player were huge selling points for the PS2, I was fortunate enough to be friends with a guy who had a cousin with this game when it first came out, I was in grade 5 or 6 and it was the scariest shit ever

This reunion seems like a dream. After 26 years, the true originals actors playing the characters of themselves after a long time in anonying. For me of a biggest fan of them, was one of the best gift of 2022. Thank you so much!
resident evil 1 was the first game I bought on PS1 and it deeply marked me at the time, these actors were like my idols, and yes, like all the fans i miss Jill and Rebecca too, thank you so much for this gift, and yes like all the fans... i miss Jill and Rebecca too 🙂
This is amazing seeing the original actors playing the game they were in for the first time. I do remember playing it part way through once, but what I really remember is watching my two older brothers playing it constantly when it first released and I was about 6 or 7 at the time and I remember being absolutely terrified to the point where I couldn't sleep and it was also my introduction to zombies. Hearing that ending theme at the end of the video brought me back to those days and it got me choked up a little bit 🥲. Thank you for posting this.

Give us a TV series with these guy reprising their roles. It can be a drama, with no zombies, just showing how they moved on with their lives (we'll figure out why Wesker's still alive, it doesn't matter).

To even think they were in this all those years ago and never actually played it and to see themselves in what they were helping create. Wild

pretty damn cool you guys were able to find these guys and get them to play the original game. watching their reactions and hearing them talk about it is like the Ultimate Commentary on the game. you guys should make a Resident Evil Documentary getting interviews with the Voice actors, developers, cut scene Actors, and fans on its lasting impressions over the years. maybe get it crowd funded? would be pretty cool way to celebrate Resident Evil's upcoming 30th anniversary in a couple of years from now.
