@@MultiKamil97 The actors in the OG RE1 aren't even actors in the first place. They were just expats living in Japan at that time and Capcom just scout the streets for any foreigners who can speak English regardless if they have acting background or not.
I can't believe these guys went on for so long not knowing they are the posterboys for such a huge game franchise. NO ONE EVER TOLD THEM???? They should have some royalty backpay for decades of characters being based on their likeness and what not.
Even with the tank controls, I can't emphasize enough how great it was to solve puzzles and fight zombies for the first time in a 3D environment as a young teenager in the 90s. This game was awesome at the time.

In 97, when I was playing this game for the first time, I could never ever imagined to meet Burry, Chris, and Wesker together playing this game!! This is absolutely awesome! This is something blows my mind out! 💙💛
The artwork was done first then they casted them based on who looked the most like the illustrations. I think they did a decent job considering how inexperienced they all were.
The internet is amazing. Thank you so much for putting these videos together with these guys. It gets me emotional thinking about playing these games with my brothers during my childhood. That Capcom logo, using tank controls for the first time, and taking turns on the same save file. It's pure nostalgia and I'm so grateful to be able to experience this. Now I'm as old as these guys were when they filmed for the game. Feels like yesterday, man.

I’d love to see the original cast in the main series again as some sort of cameo in story using their face models in the RE engine. Like in RE9 have them be Chris’ Spec Ops team from RE8 unmasked.
The trick is to run past all of the enemies, and only kill certain enemies. There are a few different ways to get around the mansion, so if you clear one path, you can save a lot of ammo for later on, when the game gets to be more intense.
What a treat. God bless these guys for being so involved with the series. They deserve every single piece of credibility they get. To this day these characters are associated with these actors in my head. Hats off to all of them and the people in charge of this channel and who organized everything to get them back.
Pablo Kunitz the actual voice actor for the wesker in this game is heavily involved with the community these days too! He even has a whole playthrough of the og resident evil game with his son haha 😎

Me and my buddies would laugh our asses off when Barry inspects the blood in the dining room, "Blood, I hope this isn't Chris' blood" the bad acting/dialog made for some funny scenes

Think it is funny the director's cut still had the smoking censored with clips over Chris when he used the lighter. Also was cool seeing the reactions of the actors to media they worked on.
I think Barry‘s Actor literally the purest out of them. You can hear this joy-ful and remembrance of the good ol days. I think Wesker and Chrises Actor are also the pure gems here. Literally down to earth, and just enjoying they work. I would have loved when they would have also voiced they characters. (Not that it would have been good or bad, but I think it just would have been the cherry on top) Absolutely love the chemistry between them.
pretty damn cool you guys were able to find these guys and get them to play the original game. watching their reactions and hearing them talk about it is like the Ultimate Commentary on the game. you guys should make a Resident Evil Documentary getting interviews with the Voice actors, developers, cut scene Actors, and fans on its lasting impressions over the years. maybe get it crowd funded? would be pretty cool way to celebrate Resident Evil's upcoming 30th anniversary in a couple of years from now.
I can't believe it, the actors that I have seen so many times in my life because I love RE1 and the live action video at the begining is really cool. It's like a Saturday film on public TV hahahah. I wish they kept making these live action opening bits for at least one through three. They should even make them a tradition for every RE game as secret unlockables, maybe ridiculously well hidden seeing how now is the age of the internet, as a huge running joke and fan service.

If you told me back in 1998 that the original cast of resident evil would be playing the first game on a video channel (UA-cam didn't exist then) I would think you were pulling my leg.
How dreamful the union is! They did not know what they were filming for during that time and now they realize how legendary the project they had been participated with and try the game on their own🙌🏻
I was fortunate enough of having an older brother that bought himself the Director's Cut version of this game. So when he was done playing it, I went ahead and played it myself. Its a good thing PS2s were and are backwards compatible with PS games, otherwise I would never have witnessed, first hand, this masterpiece of a game in its original uncut form.
Backwards compatibility and a DVD player were huge selling points for the PS2, I was fortunate enough to be friends with a guy who had a cousin with this game when it first came out, I was in grade 5 or 6 and it was the scariest shit ever
I don't know if they're actually friends - they just acted cordial and professional with each other, like most casts of stuff do at conventions or reunions.
This reunion seems like a dream. After 26 years, the true originals actors playing the characters of themselves after a long time in anonying. For me of a biggest fan of them, was one of the best gift of 2022. Thank you so much!
Everything about this is perfect. The actors' outfit colors. Wesker absolving himself of any responsibility and leaving Chris busy. Barry not only taking control just as he appears in the game, but also just wasting enemies left-and-right.

The tank controls have claimed another victim...Eric gave up in the dining room trying to move Jill around 😆. I remember it taking a good long time to get used of those controls! Great video.
At first it's weird but I didn't take me long to get it, that was part of gaming back then, they were inventing all these different games and controls, there was no blue print for how to make a game like today, plus the tank controls were necessary for the camera angles
I adore tank control, I like how they are super intuitive once you master them. But I totally agree they are hard at first, especially for non gamer like these guys. I actually loved this era of gaming when there was no standard for controls, every game was quite different just about their feel for that reason.
I honestly would be very okay with a new resident evil game that went back to the set camera angles and tank controls. They were challenging to learn at first...but once I got used to it, I loved them.

Wow, it's nice to see all of these guys together, I'm amazed watching the real characters playing their own game. Good old memories came to my mind, I'm smiling right now! I still love to play this first RE, that started everything!
I wish they kept making these live action opening bits for at least one through three. They should even make them a tradition for every RE game as secret unlockables, maybe ridiculously well hidden seeing how now is the age of the internet, as a huge running joke and fan service.

It's crazy to watch this! Cause I absolutely love resident evil and especially. The original 1996 version over any RE title, to see the original actors play it is crazy. To even think they were in this all those years ago and never actually played it and to see themselves in what they were helping create. Wild
This game is one of the reasons why I love puzzle games where you have to figure things out to progress, like an RPG

I was fortunate enough of having an older brother that bought himself the Director's Cut version of this game. So when he was done playing it, I went ahead and played it myself. Its a good thing PS2s were and are backwards compatible with PS games, otherwise I would never have witnessed, first hand, this masterpiece of a game in its original uncut form.
Backwards compatibility and a DVD player were huge selling points for the PS2, I was fortunate enough to be friends with a guy who had a cousin with this game when it first came out, I was in grade 5 or 6 and it was the scariest shit ever

This reunion seems like a dream. After 26 years, the true originals actors playing the characters of themselves after a long time in anonying. For me of a biggest fan of them, was one of the best gift of 2022. Thank you so much!

At first it's weird but I didn't take me long to get it, that was part of gaming back then, they were inventing all these different games and controls, there was no blue print for how to make a game like today, plus the tank controls were necessary for the camera angles
I adore tank control, I like how they are super intuitive once you master them. But I totally agree they are hard at first, especially for non gamer like these guys. I actually loved this era of gaming when there was no standard for controls, every game was quite different just about their feel for that reason.

I honestly would be very okay with a new resident evil game that went back to the set camera angles and tank controls. They were challenging to learn at first...but once I got used to it, I loved them.
