Or a set of Starks but this is his taste on this build it's the one we've been waiting to see, and the fact that he's actually giving this away to a viewer is insane.
This video quality and setup is so much better. Quality is amazing and the setup is much much better than watching 4 separate videos of 4 sets of wheels being installed.
I remember back in the day trying to save up for one of these, but ultimately ended up with an hx model due to financial issues at the time. I would regularly attend the fullerton (in n out) and San Diego street races with my gutted hx lol!! This is such an awesome build!! Keep up the awesome content, brotha!!
Love the way Civic series is going on. Truly inspiring how hard work done in 20s and 30s can make your 40s look so much fun and help you Buy the toys you always wanted in your 20s, Great work Matt. ✌
The te’s look the best out of the 3. Stoked to see the spoons and the regamasters. Still love this project so much. I miss the club si and early Honda-tech days.
Matt, instead of giving the winner all of the wheels, why don't you just have him/her select which of them prefers and give the other ones to two more winners? PS: The paint looks amazing!
I like this idea, however, what are the chances a winner of the wheels even would have anything to put them on? Better to give it to the winner of the car imo.
It's crazy how you're building a tasteful period correct golden era honda that any true Honda guy would respect and appreciate...just for shits and giggles. All while calling us little Honda bros the entire time. Much respect. The build came out great!
7in 15 or 16 seems to be the best happy medium I've noticed for all around use, the 15x8 are probably the best for track stuff/performance, but its a pain to get it to fit right especially in the rear. Stock rear camber arms hit the wheel under compression/movement, but the rear camber kit helps with that, but then it barely clears an unrolled rear quarter panel with around -2.5 deg on an integra.
Unrolled! Very impressive. I am over here trying to fit rear 15x7 +38 Kosei K1 with 205 50 15 RE71R, -1.4 neg camber on my ITR. I am running Spoon springs and dampers and have to raise the rear a little. Right now it rubs.
@@touringteg How is your ride height with the spoon springs? I tried to keep mine reasonable,, but sometimes I think I went a little too low. Your screen name is familiar, on ITRCA/Type R club? tried looking for a build thread of your ITR. I have pictures of my current ride height on my build thread for my 2000 LS if you want to see the height its at. It's a really tight fit and so far on the street I don't feel or hear the rubbing (the rear quarter lip has no tire marks). I am running 205/50/15 BFG Rival on 15x8s, I think if I went to a 225/45, it would rub for sure in rear. I also think if I went to a track outside of Florida that has more elevation, it might rub, but the tracks in Florida have very mild elevation. When I ran the stock arms, I had around the same rear camber as you, the 15x8s rubbed unless I had raised the rear enough. It sounds like the offset on your K1 and lack of camber contributes to the rubbing, especially since a +38 15x7 on a 4x100 setup vs 5x114? I believe the track width is 5mm wider on the ITR so it would be like running a 15x7 +33 on a 4x100 car and looking at the fittment calculators, looks very similar to how a 15x8 +35 4x100 wheel sits.
All of those wheels and tires are most likely cheaper than the wheels you have on you Porsche!! Just a hell of a good time watching you play around with this car!! Damn someone is going to be on lucky SOB!! Hope it’s me! Hahahaha!
Two reasons why I suggest you use mud guards on your Civic,(1) the mud will help full out the look of your vehicle especially where the tire meets the rear bumper(2) it will stabilize the rear bumper
This is so insane I'm 35 and I've been a honda fan for all of my adult life but have not owned one for a long time but this build is so addicting love some em1 content amazing build can't wait to see more
Great video. The EBP Si was the car I wanted in high school also but ended up getting 2000 civic ex manual coupe in taffeta white instead due to price. It was my first brand new car at the age of 18 during my senior year. Pretty much everything you've added on is what I wanted to add back then but didn't have money at the time. You have great taste and everytime you say "little Honda bros" cracks me up lol
Matt I’m not sure if you had all the parts ready for this build pre Covid-19 but I’m jealous how fast you’re getting your parts! Lol my car parts are taking forever! 😅. Btw very nice build so far
That’s awesome. Glad to see your able to make your 20 year old dream can come true. I was freshly 21 and had a 2003 G35 coupe that I bought with 70k miles. I loved that car but it was to much for me to keep due to money after 2 years. It’s been 12 years since I have had it and on the hunt for a good clean one to do everything I wanted back then.
Volks all the way. Timeless and still makes any car look legit. By the way I own same civic in silver with Volk T37’s and of course.. a Dodge Redeye 😉 Great content.
My brother had white 5Zigen Imperio 18” wheels on the same car. We still have the car after all these years, but it’s in a bunch of Rubbermaid totes after 1 unfortunate night.
Clubsi... True OG. Mugen mf8s in silver or regamaster evos in silver. I still regret not getting a set of silver mf8s for a good price years ago. Evo 2s are looking like a nicer and nicer alternative... CE28N in magnesium if you’re feeling wild lol. 8s are too ridiculous on a civic lol. 16 x 7 +35 205/45 seem to be the sweet spot on em1s and should clear all brake kits. Curious to see what you end up doing. Looking forward to the evo mounting. Good stuff.
Awesome stuff. Just a couple of personal thoughts I'd like to opine: (1) I heard that, apparently, titanium bolts are prone to galling/breaking/snapping and that steel is the way to go? MRG Titanium Studs have gotten some negative reviews on the F80 Bimmerpost forums, by way of example. (2) Personally loved the first set of wheels, but what I've seen before is the center bore painted in the same color as the car (or lugs), to tie it all in. Looks pretty cool. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Great video!
16x7 FTW!, try some white/blue stripe RG1's, I think they even come in a 16 x 7.5", I almost got a set but they were 17's. Personally I like all those wheels, 2nd set being my fav but not by much, 1st and 3rd are tied but i'd still choose 16's for a daily. Nice showing kind sir.
I’m kinda surprised that you don’t have your own tire machines. That is one thing I hate having to do is going to a tire shop. The OG garage should have a tire balancer and mounting machine.
I really liked the CE28N Matt. You could go with a lower profile tire on those and still do the 225. Say for instance a 40 profile instead of the 45, maybe even a 35. That way you will keep the width and the possibility of rubbing when lowered decreases.
This thumbnail omg
You should make some shared content and help Matt out with some stuff on the civic :D
It’s so good 😂😂😂😂
Haha, I was just thinking Adam would appreciate the nail
Had to double take the glasses
Watched you at the comp today good shit Adam!
Adam should make some LZMFG x OG cleaning stuff
This video will go down in history for one thing only: The day Matt Moreman applies a decal.
Ha, ha... I said the same thing when we were making it.
the true OG's wanted to see a set of MUGEN MF10 in bronze my friend.
They don't make them any longer.
*MF8s. Doesn’t mean you can’t find a set. King had some new mf10s made not too long ago, m7s would be cool as well, but the more recent run are 5x114
Obsessed Garage that’s the point
Or a set of Starks but this is his taste on this build it's the one we've been waiting to see, and the fact that he's actually giving this away to a viewer is insane.
@@jamespeters11603 yes my apologies, MF8 for this chassis. Regardless, the MF wheels are just another level imo.
I love seeing this guy living his dream.
I hope everyone that reads this comment can one day have the luxury of fulfilling their dreams one day like this guy.
Amen!
This video quality and setup is so much better. Quality is amazing and the setup is much much better than watching 4 separate videos of 4 sets of wheels being installed.

I'm living my dreams through you Matt having so many different sets of wheels to chop and change whenever you feel hahaha. 👍
Original tires on the stock wheels? That’s impressive! The 15’s look the best imo. The offset is aggressive
This thumbnail is legendary
Love the way Civic series is going on.
Truly inspiring how hard work done in 20s and 30s can make your 40s look so much fun and help you Buy the toys you always wanted in your 20s, Great work Matt. ✌
It's pretty cool to see this car come to life, I have my notifications on waiting for the next solid video.
The te’s look the best out of the 3. Stoked to see the spoons and the regamasters. Still love this project so much. I miss the club si and early Honda-tech days.

Exactly, ultimate winner is getting plenty lol
This!!
Everyone: dang this one wheel is all clean but now I have to do it 3 more times!
Matty: dang I still have 19 more wheels to dial in!
Hahaha that’s funny 😂
The flex in this video ! Love seeing all these quality parts 🔥
Mattis doing something that everyone here has dreamed about doing !!at some point in there life.
That is facts bro.
It's crazy how you're building a tasteful period correct golden era honda that any true Honda guy would respect and appreciate...just for shits and giggles. All while calling us little Honda bros the entire time. Much respect. The build came out great!
Quite possibly the best thumbnail on yt 😂
can't get enough of this civic.it's just "it's perfect"..
I get to live vicariously through this build!! I love it , can’t wait to see the Spoon Sport wheels.
love the civic build id rather watch this than any gt3rs

I bought a ek hatch the day my twins came to the world. I 100% understand the nostalgia behind these Cars!
Each wheel got better and better imo. The last was definitely my favorite
Always liked the OEM SI wheels!
Car looks brand new.
I can’t stop watching this SI build. Very nostalgic of the good ole days of simpler times
first set of wheels are omg 😍😍😍
Can you give my wife a follow on ig she paints and she can make pretty much anything would love to send you something
All of those wheels and tires are most likely cheaper than the wheels you have on you Porsche!! Just a hell of a good time watching you play around with this car!! Damn someone is going to be on lucky SOB!! Hope it’s me! Hahahaha!
I love this build. I did have the Honda tuning issue with this car. I build this car in my head like 1000 time. Great job guys.
Two reasons why I suggest you use mud guards on your Civic,(1) the mud will help full out the look of your vehicle especially where the tire meets the rear bumper(2) it will stabilize the rear bumper
Black 16” Regamasters would be my choice for this car. There was a guy on Honda Tech named Kid1320 who had the perfect EBP EM1 back in the day.
I remember that car, remember you on HT as well lol
Omg man I so remember that dude..I would always be keeping an eye out for his addition of spoon and jdm goodies on a weekly basis
Haha bauley, HT GDD crew up in here! 1320’s car was badass. I was also always a big fan of dut’s CW CTR on SSR's
Yea man I miss the honda tech days lol but UA-cam is aite but back when I was a youngster honda tech is all there was
I was always partial to 15" MF10L's. But, that's me.
those te's look proper proper agressive. great looking combo with the tire.
ClubSi def still exists; member since 2000. Come say hello in the OutThere! forum Matt lol
This is so insane I'm 35 and I've been a honda fan for all of my adult life but have not owned one for a long time but this build is so addicting love some em1 content amazing build can't wait to see more

I prefer the TE37s on this setup.
Every tire is de-nubbed. Love it
Matt, I am going to be a owner of a 99’ Electron Blue EM1 SI-R in a couple days lol.
just run a bit more camber on all corners
the ce28 set up should clear the fenders fine
"it's going to look legit" I'm thinking it's already there. I would imagine the winner being scared to drive it.
Matt I’m not sure if you had all the parts ready for this build pre Covid-19 but I’m jealous how fast you’re getting your parts! Lol my car parts are taking forever! 😅. Btw very nice build so far
Goddam dude. You are doing the best giveaway cars on youtube. Super lucky fellow to be winning this car.
damn wheels really make the car... such an transformation...
That’s awesome. Glad to see your able to make your 20 year old dream can come true.

Love every video this guy do for this SI
Old episodes of best motoring/hot version are the best source of wheel fitment and period modification info. Some episodes are English subtitled too
I vote for the first set of wheels.
Did you get the tire shop to fire the guy that put your wheel weights over that sticker?
The black te37s in 15 was doing it me. Looks amazing
I actually liked the mixed lug nut colors. Never thought of that before.
Love you and the channel been watching for sometime now! Will be waiting and watching for this car 🤙
Man this is awesome. This em1 is beautiful.
Cool project !
Volks all the way. Timeless and still makes any car look legit. By the way I own same civic in silver with Volk T37’s and of course.. a Dodge Redeye 😉 Great content.

this is awsome my fav civic gettin hooked up the black lugs looked the best
The Mugen MF-10's would be CLUTCH!!! in bronze!! Once again..... Content is Legendary bro! Stay safe Matt! #salutefromOhio
Like that you take your time Matt
That thumbnail thou! 😁 nice one Matt!
A great lesson in what not to do. I wish I had something like this to watch for my first wheel purchase.
Clubsi...
Good stuff.
Really liked the last set up.
I like the first set with the right chamber and lowered it would look perfect
Those TE's look fantastic.
Love how all these tires have already been De-nipped!
Not all of them yet. I'm about half way through.
So darn clean man, wow!

Ce28s has my vote
I’ve heard of guys running 17x8s +38ish with 235s on this generation of civic. Quite a bit of trimming and modifying needed though
Wheel set #2 looks the best
Part infomercial part testimonial, I dig it
RE30’s is actually my least favorite. Te37’s look the best to me. Either way great video!
You have a dream car. It looks so good.
Please share with us some wallpapers. 🙏🏽
I’m kinda surprised that you don’t have your own tire machines. That is one thing I hate having to do is going to a tire shop. The OG garage should have a tire balancer and mounting machine.
I remember Club Si, use to be on there all the time. Luckily I still have my 99 EM1
This is awesome!! Also can’t wait to see some tire mounting/balancing machines in the OG garage💪🏻💪🏻
Wow your giving away the car with all wheels!!!
You should have purchased a set of 16x10 +0 diamond racing steelies with 185/45s and then played it totally serious, lmao
WOW, well they all looked better than i first tought. Looking forward to the next batch
16x7 SSR competition type Cs in gunmetal FTW. Still have the set that I had on my EBP EM1, wish I still had the car.
Flex master Matt over here.
I can forgive a B18 swap, but not sure I can forgive rolled fenders.
1st set and 3rd set look proper.
Love this build.
Definitely a huge mark-up on your products
No, I just sell a lot of them.
I saw that GT4 blue. Looks awesome.
These are all my dream wheels!! One of these days I’ll be able to afford some knock offs!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 huge fan of the channel
Have you had a chance to weight the factory and after market wheels and tires?
In my opinion the color may need to be adjusted. Try a Bronze wheel, you will be surprised at how great it looks!
Bronze TE37 would look awesome with the blue.
I'm about to dust off my em1 too. Its coming out of hibernation. I'm going turbo now.
Haha this is epic!! Love this build out of all of them.
P.S. the video Quality makes this so enjoyable to watch !
I really liked the CE28N Matt. You could go with a lower profile tire on those and still do the 225. Say for instance a 40 profile instead of the 45, maybe even a 35. That way you will keep the width and the possibility of rubbing when lowered decreases.
man when it came off lift on black te's! so much perfection
Te37s for sure those look perfect
first set all the way.
TE37s' looked hella beautiful
The Black lugs looked best on all wheels.
