Lovely video. The commentary really adds something. Thank you for the nice comments regarding Devonmoor. We loved being there for the weekend. We have a very simple modular system and very few rules, but it shows what can be done when you all work together. The group has been amazing to me since I joined last year and I would fully recommend that anyone getting into the hobby looks out for their local groups , modular or not. The group expertise, encouragement and friendship really is something special. If you see us again it will be a totally different layout, we have so many modules now that we have nowhere to put them all together at the same time, and plenty more being planned and built. Making Tracks have given us an idea though.... Exeter Cathedral anyone!!
Thank you for a wonderful video of a show that I intend to visit next year. I’m not a football fan, but enjoy seeing football stadiums used for other events as well as the not so beautiful game!!
As always, James, best coverage of a model railway show on UA-cam by 80 chains, with nicely shot and well edited video, interesting and entertaining commentary (which makes all the difference btw), plus background sound. Also sounds like you're doing a good job of convincing yourself that you need an O gauge layout 😉
My firend and I enjoyed the show. He got a photo with Pete Waterman in the Hotel Bar on Saturday evening and was very happy. I said hi to Craig from IronHorse. He's a nice fella - and is much taller than I thought!
Awesome stuff, my boy got a photo with Pete at the key model world live and that made his day so I can understand why your mate was pleased. Yes I saw Craig when my lad went to drive a loco on the TT layout
Many thanks for another of your excellent show digests. ‘Devonmoor’ looks excellent, starting with a pretty faithful rendition of Lynton station, complete with bungalow. I’m aiming to do my own version of this layout extract. The layout recreating the Westbury junction looked great but was disturbing from an operational and signalling perspective!
Really enjoyed watching this. Great commentary. I wish I was able to attend but it clashed with other events this weekend. Thanks so much for this great video
Your welcome I missed theee layouts reading signal works but you can find that on my DEMU video and the two model railway challenge layouts by team Grantham which where surprisingly busy all day
As always a well made and spoken in video. I always enjoy the comments you make. My personal favorite one "Millsbridge". Lot of post war to modern scenery, some continental stuff, not immediately my interest, but still nice the result of well build layouts. Thanks for the lovely video, enjoyed it as always…
Thanks Danny, I agree continental is not to everyone’s tastes but I think it is good to appreciate the modelling, my boy wants his layout to be in the snow so the Swiss layout was great to see to get some inspiration
@@WesternSignalman Tell the boy that Scotland and Wales also have big snow falls😂 Well I'm the opposite of the continental modelers, I live in Belgium and I only collect British rolling stock😅, it seems I live on the wrong side of the pond.😉 I'm working on a small highland scene at the moment (in late summer) Of corse it's nice to see all the variations in the hobby, it would be boring if everybody did the same.
Great videos , really enjoyed that especially the two Scottish ones (Gresty Bridge and Dalziel (pronounced Dee Ell) North ) which I have seen at various shows in Scotland . I'll really need to get to GETS it looks brilliant .
I’ve already been told about my pronunciation of the Scottish layout 😂 what on earth is that z doing in there. GETS is a great show certainly worth getting to. Thanks for commenting

Sounds like an excellent excuse for a trip to Devon 😆
@@WesternSignalman It will happen. A couple of potential venues being discussed for 'The longest 009 layout in the World'!! Maybe 2026.

I have a loco and two wagons so far, oh and a large garden that’s crying out for some “landscaping” 😆
So far, I’ve seen some beautiful layouts by watching the various videos of this show on UA-cam!!
There was some lovely layoutd
Millsbridge was my favourite layout of the show. The colour palette and lighting is stunning, not to mention the landscape and buildings.
Mine too it was very atmospheric

Gresty Road and Devonmoor were my favourite layouts at the show - thanks for featuring them!
Gresty road was great but the camera didn’t like it as it was a bit too dark for it but at least I did manage to capture some of it.
Many thanks for another of your excellent show digests.

I think there was a few operational issues when we came to watch. I was wondering if anyone would spot what was wrong in the first clip 😆
Realy Nice video with many diffrent train. And you have a Nice voice :-)
Thank you, I’ve never been a fan of it but others have told me the same, so it can’t be too bad I suppose.
Some great layouts there, I'll have to get myself down one year! Great footage mate
Always a great show and the majority of layouts make it to the magazine so always high quality

Yes it was bit of a spoilt for choice weekend I would like to have seen the Warley show but there we go
@@WesternSignalman I appreciate the video. Many thanks
