  • This is the 2nd in a series of videos documenting the construction of a ground-mounted 17.4 kW electric solar array.
    - Solarworld 275w mono-crystalline black frame/backing panels
    - Ironridge frame (with 2 inch galvanized pipe)
    - 11.4 kW Solaredge Inverter (with 42 400 watt power optimizers)
    - 6 kW Solaredge Inverter (with 18 400 watt power optimizers)

    Could spray foam in the pipe have sealed it off?. It looks like the iron ridge cap is sealed anyway. Great job on the ground array, looks good.

      Yep. I think I just wanted to use the welder. That's really the only explanation.

    could have used liquid flashing made for doing sealing on glass to metal. 10 minutes and you would have been done. fill the ends with expanding foam.. then once closed up.. apply the liquid flash.. it would still be there 100 years from now.
