We watch the Christmas Story marathon every year, it would be Christmas without it. Last year we got the pleasure of visiting the house too. What a great experience 😊
This was wonderful!!! We loved how in the 2nd floor bathroom there was a sign on the toilet that said "Do Not Use". Just like at the RV Shows where they have to tape the toilets down...
What a fun place to visit! One of our favorite Christmas movies! How fun would it be to visit during the Christmas season while it's snowing. Take care and thanks for sharing.
As a native Clevelander, I am so happy to see you in our beautiful town. A Christmas Story is also a family favorite and, like you, we can quote so many lines from the movie ("not a finger."). I loved watching your reactions to so many scenes/props from the movie. It's an annual tradition in our house, as well. Higbee's was a wonderful place to visit at Christmas time, and downtown Cleveland was magical! I hope you had the opportunity to see more of what our great city has to offer. ❤
Thank you for taking us through this tour with you guys…. I absolutely Love Love Love this movie and watch it religiously every year!!! Now I think Me and my family will have to take a road trip to go and see it for myself… So much fun!
We must be nerds too, watch it every Christmas season. Also home alone, miracle on 37th street and my wife watches Hallmark channel the whole month of December! Great tour if we ever get out there we’ll have to go see it, looked pretty cool especially since you can interact.
Yes! I love that they let you touch everything and sit on the furniture. I will look at that movie slightly different this year now having been in the house, lol.
Did not know you could tour the house, that's awesome. I had heard the tongue to the pole was a vacuum tube to keep his tongue in contact with the pole. Thanks for sharing.
@WaywardWaggs we are like you, we watch the movie while opening presents. I'm sorry to hear you are giving up the road for now. But its great for the grand kids. I grew up without any, I'm almost normal.
Love that place. My daughter went to college in Cleveland. Been to the Christmas Story house numerous times. They used to let you put on the Bunny Suit. I even have a picture of my daughter standing on the stairs pouting in the Bunny Suit. If you like fresh food, you gotta check out Cleveland's Westside Market. If they had a place like that in Charleston, I'd never go to a grocery store.
If you get over there, you gotta go see it! And yes, I loved that you were allowed to touch things, sit on furniture, & everything. Such a cool experience for sure 😊
I loved that movie! You’ll shoot your eye out. Fah rah rah rah! The kid with the tough stuff is what got me. On cable they play it I still think all night long at Christmas time. It’s good to know about what they did for snow. I don’t think I would stay there. Too much money. I heard about Jack Nicholas getting the part. I’m glad they had who they had Butcher’s Darren McGavin. He’s the guy I remember that showed him. I think it’s called the night stalker about vampires and that was the name of the show, but I might be wrong on the name of the show. I used to watch that show and Night Gallery and get them confused. They both were scary shows. I watched them in reruns because I was to young when they were on. Nice place to go see. Thank you for giving me the experience of it. Hope you both have a great week and see you on Rv Unplugged. Safe travels.
Best show ever!!! It is permanently recorded on my DVR. Thanks for the tour.

It really is 😊
Did you know Peter Billingsley(Ralphie) played Ming Ming in Elf?
Yes we did! They mentioned it on the tour as well.
60 yrs old & never seen it! Along with all Star Wars, Planet of the Ape, any of those old shows. I'm sheltered. 😂
Lol, you should watch it sometime - it's hilarious 😂

No problem!
This is a great museum! Did you go to the Rock Hall of Fame while you were in Cleveland?
Yes, we sure did! Loved it!
So close to us! When were you here? As a northeast ohio resident...i have never seen the movie 😂
OMG, watch the movie 🤣. We were there the 1st two weeks of May. I (Leslie) have family there, so we'll definitely be back to see more stuff 😊
I've still never watched that movie.
