1979 Harley Davidson Shovelhead FLH Revitalization Stage 1 HD 1080p

Today is the day that parts start coming off! The 1979 is under the knife and starting its revitalization process. With camera issues I did lose some video. Between batteries giving up and the memory card losing data, a portion of the tank removal process was lost. Don't worry, I spilled fuel on the floor and made a mess!!

I have a 61 pan no signals. Using hand signals can be a bit of a challenge sometimes with the clutch and throttle. The pan looks nice without it but if you can keep it looking stockish probably won’t look bad. Good looking bike.

Thanks for the reply! I have a 60 Pan without signals too. With this build, I’ll be selling it so I’ll most likely leave the signals on it.

All bikes made after 1972 by law require turn signals, sorry to spoil the build.

I’ve looked at quite a few adventure bikes just haven’t decided which way to go. What do you ride? What suggestions do you have for a person that would be just getting into adventure bikes? Brands or models to buy and which ones to stay away from.
