My first ever BIRTHDAY cakes ordered from a bakery! For my birthday this year we wanted to go all out and make a really fun video of getting our favorite bakeries to surprise me with EPIC cakes based off something they think I would love, and oh did they blow me away!!! Someone made ME into cake, a giant topsy turvy stack of foods as cake with me on top and an insane 3D carved stand mixer with everything edible (even the pipping bag!!!!) WHAT?!?! Omg.

I think we can all agree the 1000 dollar cakes actually looked like a 1000 dollar cake
I loved the fact that ALL of the cakes components were edible! When you pay that much money for a cake, you want it ALL to be edible. Hands down, the third cake for 1,000 dollars was Ahhhhh-MAZING. The second cake with all the detail of the mixer was INCREDIBLE! The first cake was lovely, but I just didn't get a WOW out of it for the price. Happy Birthday!
I cant believe her favorite cake was the first one...To me it was lazy creatively and sloppy. The third one hit a home run🙌😍

Definitely sloppy and simple details were missed regardless of price. Like the cardigan not being attached and the color of the lips. I’d be mad for the price.
I wonder if she's friends with the baker or something, because that was not a deserved favorite.
She likes looking at herself. The third cake was 100% the winner.
its especially disappointing considering how many AMAZING cakes they've gotten from that bakery before. you'd think that if you have a repeat customer (who also is technically advertising your works) asking for an expensive birthday cake you would put insane effort into making it perfect.
I’d be curious to see 2 cakes from the same bakery but with a different budget - just to see what your money gets you

For the first bakery, I’ve absolutely LOVED their previous cakes in this series, but sadly I’m disappointed, they did not do this cake justice. Unfortunately too many obvious messy details and for the price, they still could have neatened it up a little more.
The last one was amazing!!

I absolutely hated the first cake. I think you were a bit unfair about the second cake, it really deserved a 10/10. The last one omg, EPIC CAKE!
I think the 3rd cake is the best. That’s insane! So many personalized elements, the detail and 3 different cake flavors? Just wow!! I think they hit it out of the park! I do love the other two but the 3rd is just wow!
Next challenge: Three cakes dedicated to all that Kevin does with an unlimited budget since he’s basically priceless. 😂

That last cake is stunning. I still think these prices are pretty insane (being broke as I am), but yeah that last one was...wow.
Some people willing pay that much specially if like when hit 20, 30,40,50 etc age they do go all out.

Cake-you is just adorable and I can't imagine actually cutting into and eating it! The second one, the edible gelatin piping bag absolutely blew my mind, what the actual heck?? How.... Dang!! Laurie's little freak-out trying to move a cake onto a table with her eyes closed had me laughing so hard. That last one though, that last one was just miles above the others, my goodness!! (I type my comments as I'm watching, in case this feels especially disjointed...) Laurie's facial expressions when she tastes each cake, that's always one of my favorite parts of these videos. She looks like she's absolutely in love, lol.
my favourite is the second "baking" cake! the details are there, it is very put together and not too out there. alsoo... cookies and cream!
the third cake is stunning but there's just too much going on for me. but totally worth the money. the first one is a really great price but i don't like the crystal L and some of it looks unfinished. love the photograph collage on the cake board though, very creative.

They are all gorgeous! I agree that the blender wasn't personalized enough, but for the other two, the tall cake is absolutely amazing, but for a party, how could you even start cutting into that? It's an absolute show stopper, but the simpler design of the first one leaves more room for the real star of the party, the birthday girl, to shine.
As a baker I am so happy you give these small businesses all this attention and money to support them! What a dream for those businesses!
I think it would have been cool to combine the two jobs into one cake! So your woodworking but then maybe instead or making stuff from wood you could be using the tools you wood for woodworking to make a cake!
TBH this is the first time I've seen a cake thats worth absolutely every penny. Cake #3 is AMAZING!!!!

Loved the kitchen aid cake color
It crashed after you cut into multiple layers of it. I’m sure it would’ve stayed standing for multiple hours had it not been cut. That third cake was incredible!

Last week it was my best girlfriends birthday and 6 couples went to a beyond fabulous restaurant for her birthday.
When our waiter was wheeling the cake to our table he was laughing out loud!!##!!??

I can’t get over how cheap these cakes are… it’s such a crush to themselves and the work but also lowers price expectations to the general public. That last cake was worth at least £2500 minimum.
Absolutely love the 1000$ cake but for a cost effective number one I love the mixer cake the spatula the piping bag. But the thousand dollar one is gorgeous
I don’t always give a thumbs up even when I like a video because I may not want it to change my UA-cam feed but the fact that so much money went into this definitely deserves a like

Wow!!! I think that each of the cakes is exceptional in their own rite. In that they are across the every cost point, and each seems completely worth the cost.

The mixer is AMAZING!
For the first one I would rate it a 5.5 out of 10 just because I think it needs a bit more detail.
For the second I would say an 8 out of 10 because it is so so cute and I think that they ( as In the baking company) could have put a few more designs to make it personal.
And for the last one a 10 out of 10. The details are so good, and I’m just amazed by it.

You can get like a more than 200 cakes(like big ones 1 kg - 2 kg cakes , cakes like black current , red velvet) here in India for the amount you spent spent on the 3 cakes buttt let me say gurlll they were worth it they are so beautiful
