Merry ALMOST Christmas!!! What's your favorite Holiday tradition??
Thanks so much to Intel for sponsoring this video! Learn more here: intel.ly/3BcBovN #IntelEvo #IntelAmbassador #ad
Decorating the Christmas tree and listening to Christmas music ❤
so happy seeing you back & doing well ❤ missed you
Our favorite tradition is bringing out ornaments that have been handed down from generations and talking about family that we miss and sharing funny stories about them. That instills a sense of family in our children and let’s them know that even relatives that they never met always knew that they would be a part of our family one day and they saved ornaments for them. Just a fun flashback- a time of reflection. ❤️ Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas girl. Big fan
Completely unrelated but where did you get the shirt you are wearing in the video? It's so cute!!
You should order a cake from a bakery and say it’s for a video and then have one of your friends order a cake with the same budget and category and compare them. I think it would be interesting to see if they only make you special cakes because it’s going on UA-cam. 😂
Since she never credits the bakeries, I suspect that they do crazy cakes for anyone who orders and has the budget.
Great idea! See if they put in as much effort when it's not a UA-cam cake.
@@myladycasagrande863 but it’s the same bakeries over & over, I’m sure they’ve seen the videos & know they’re going on UA-cam
@@jasperclydeinsd592 But even if they did, what difference does it makes for them? She never says who is it from so if the cake is amazing it wont get credit or get people buying from them, the same way, ifthe cake sucks, they wont lose clients for it.
@@myladycasagrande863 She's said before in a video that the bakeries are aware of her videos.
That drunken reindeer cake is SO amazing!! Definitely takes the cake for one of the best cakes I’ve ever seen
Was the pun intended?
Whichever bakery did both the reindeer cakes consistently comes up with my favorite cake designs and fun flavors to match. 😍❤
Thanks thats Cakestar in Toronto!!!
@@SierraDenali You guys do AMAZING work! I am honestly so blown away by the talent and creativity. 👏👏👏
That one is my favorite
The baker who made the reindeer one really went above and beyond! But I really think the Santa cake deserves more credit. The palette and the way he's designed match the way *I* visualise the Christmas spirit, whatever that means, the best! Although to be honest, the spinning sleigh is probably what would grab my attention if I looked at them in a shop. I guess this means they're all great!
I agree- the Santa cake was too harshly criticized
Austrian here we actually put cookies and Candie especially gingerbread on the tree for decorating and to have something to snack on so the second cake could be inspired by traditions like ours
We do it in America too but they're like salt cookies that you're not supposed to eat they last a really long time and smell like gingerbread
German here, we do that too :)
australian here we put candy canes on ours
@@MissLisaSwann Mississippi, USA here. My grandparents and great grandparents put salt cookies, real candy canes, popcorn, cranberries and dried citrus fruits, too! All of us grandchildren would run to the tree after dinner and grab a candy cane. My grandfather loved to hide them and watch us search for them! So much fun! The Southern states are your more economically challenged in history so it was a way to make your own decorations on a budget! 🥰
@@hellkittyninja7237 I remember making those when I was younger. We had some that lasted for years, but the last remaining one was found at the box of out Christmas ordiments that looked like a crushed up pile of sand. Lom
I feel like it’s a before, during and after Christmas montage, prepping cookies, delivering gifts on Christmas, and relaxing afterward 😂
Yessss I love that interpretation!!
🤣how funny that they unintentionally created a larger story within their individual ones!
Yes. That's soooooo amaxing
YEP!!!!
How can you say the second one doesn’t make sense and not the first one ?😂😂😂 that second one is amazing!
You really need to start name dropping these bakeries! As you’re using them over and over again, they deserve that recognition!
The reindeer cake is Cakestar in Toronto, ontario.
yeah, i can see why she wouldnt want to advertise like, a 1 star bakery she orders to see how bad her cake is from, but at a certain point youre just using other peoples work for content.
@@realemaskye286 She can always ask if they want to be mentioned or not. I am sure if the bakery she is always getting from (she says they’ve done this and that before..) are given the option they will accept and we can look them up and support their amazing work! I just feel like she’s not only using them for content but they get no actual acknowledgment nor recognition.
@@realemaskye286i agree that she should advertise them, but tbh i wouldn't argue abt it being immoral not to considering the numbers she's paying for these cakes.. they're hers now, she can use them for whatever she wants
@@realemaskye286I mean, she IS paying for the cakes
The santa does make sense - In a lot of countries they bake gingerbread cookies for the tree, so the cute little cabinet is a cute piece of furniture in Santa's lounge room where his tree is. I know everyone is going to vote for the drunken reindeer, but my favourite is the North Pole with Santa flying around.
You guys have never baked cookie ornaments? You're not supposed to eat them but they have that cookie smell it's amazing!! You should do a video and try it.
Agreed. I made gingerbread ornaments in 3rd grade to sell (they didn’t) but now i have a bunch
Haha not with my dog I can't😂
You CAN absolutely eat gingerbread tree ornaments.
I make and sell them. But you can only hang them on your tree for a week or two otherwise they will go soft and stale.
There is no reason why you can't save them for future years but obviously they will not be edible.
@Carol Luscombe The ones I've made you can't eat. But they still smell like gingerbread and you don't have to worry about the kids or pets eating all of the ornaments off your tree lmao
@@hellkittyninja7237 why can't you eat them? Do you make them with plaster of Paris or something else that is inedible?
The baking Santa has fabric looking gingerbread men on his apron, hat and tree. Then he has a cookie in the bag. The cookie is thicker than the fabric ones and doesn't have the bumped up look. The candy canes are on the tree and in cookie form on the cupboard. It's like he made cookies to match his tree decor. That's my interpretation anyway.
I thought the same thing! It's clear that the apron has a textural pattern throughout. And the Santa eyes were beautiful. But I liked the last cake the best because it was whimsical, perfectly executed (no reliance on cotton candy), and embellished throughout. But I wouldn't turn down any of those cakes - or a taste of each flavor!
kevin saying “what did u say to the dog😡” just proves how wholesome this couple is ❤
That reindeer cake is utterly stunning, they really went above and beyond.
The gingerbread cookies, the ornaments, the detail on the apron everything about cake number two was phenomenal
I know the giant Santa cake had some cosmetic issues, but it is an absolute stunner!
Not sure why it was so harshly criticized. It took more skill than the round reindeer cake
no fr i loved the pattern on the fabirc
The reindeer one’s filling was so creative, not only the eggnog but the funfetti - like he’s celebrating the start of his holidays with confetti-type thing! So creative!
The second one’s table looks like an antique pie safe to me. 🥰
Oven
You're getting a vote for "Baking Santa" from me. For the record, we have an edible tree every year, and gingerbread cookies are frequently used as decorations for Christmas trees.
My parents had a baked gingerbread ornament that one of my older siblings made in school. Last time I smelled it I could still get hints of the spices they used, and I'm 32. Baked gingerbread ornaments are absolutely a thing.
I’m so early the cakes in this vid are still eggs, flour and sugar at the store 😂
🤣🤣
That reindeer 😱This is the first time I’ve ever thought “yep, I’d pay $700 for that cake” amazing!!!!!❤️💚❤️💚
I love these videos. I don’t think I will ever get sick of them! The third cake is my absolute favorite, but, in Santa’s defense, if you need a backstory, my take on it is… Santa is at home baking his favorite cookies and decorating his tree, and he’s in his living room so the beautiful chest makes sense. He just put the candy canes down on the chest while he was working on his tree.
P. S. You and Kevin are obviously perfectly matched. His absolute calm versus your anxiety are so cute. You both crack me up! 😂
The giant Santa with the Cannabis Christmas tree is adorable!
Yay! It's NOT just me! I was like, "DUUUUDE! It's made of BUD!!!" Santa isn't BAKING, no, no! Santa is BAKED! 🤣
oh my god, these cakes are INCREDIBLE, the bakers delivered 1000%!!!
These are so cute! I lost my dad this year. He was a professional Santa, so this hits a special place in my heart. 💖
So sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad this year too. When my brothers and I were kids we always wanted Dad to be Santa for his company 's family Christmas party. Hugs
Thank you. 💖 I'm sorry for your loss too!
Ginger bread ornaments are totally a thing lol, just made them today actually!😂 1 cup cinnamon 3/4 cups applesauce 1/4 cup glue and any added spices for smell😊
The drunk reindeer was by far the best themed & most creative plus I love eggnog so it would be an all around win. I would definitely buy this cake
Kudos to all the bakers! I appreciate the first cake story and I love the drunken Reindeer cake’s humor. Both cakes have amazing details.
This is the best cake off i have seen so far!! They all brought their A game here! I loved every single one of them and was shocked at how creative they were
Reindeer is next level and I love that they incorporated last years cake in a way.
So glad to see you back and well, I love this series of videos and how excited you get around those cakes
Okay, the last cake does it for me, it’s everything and more. It’s like you asked for a Christmas gift. Didn’t think you were gonna get it and then got something better.😂
That reindeer cake… SHEESH i can appreciate how much time must’ve went into that masterpiece!
Love the series, glad to see a new post from you ❤️
The reindeer cake is absolutely amazing. It has to be the best cake I've seen! The first one...nope. the second cake had a good story behind it but wasn't executed correctly. The reindeer cake made my day.
Growing up my mom would bake gingerbread cookies with us kids and we would hang them on the tree like ornaments. Whenever we wanted a treat we would just grab one from the tree. Definitely doing that with my future kiddos!
Those cakes are absolutely amazing! But the drunken reindeer just takes it over the top...these people are soo talented!
You should film Kevin tasting the cakes with you too! Would love to see his reactions as well😊
Erm, have you not heard of edible Christmas tree ornaments? I am so confused by your confusion! 🤣
I’ve missed you two! So happy to see your lovely faces! Merry Christmas!
💚❤️🎄❤️💚
I would love if you reacted to Cake Boss. I think it would be so interesting to hear your insights 😊
I watched this when it came out, but was watching cake boss and had the idea 😂
So I’m back now!
Loved this video! I'm so glad you are back Laurie and that you had a good vacation. Can you show us the third cake being cut and all of them being deconstructed?
So glad to see you guys are back!! I’m so glad that you got to take a great break!! You deserved it!! Love from Oklahoma, USA 🎄🎄🎄
What she said ⬆️ except I'm in Arizona❣🤗
The reindeer cake is perfection!!! I absolutely love it! Every last detail is amazing and so creative!
My final comment - I promise! But I’m so glad you’re BACK!! ❤
The Reindeer’s expression is PRICELESS!!! Every time Kevin pans over to him I smile!! 🥰
His drunken red eyes make it
@@geckohecko Oh, totally! 😂😂
Love them love them love them!! I’ve missed your videos so much!! Bravo to an amazing couple who seem like so much fun!! Best wishes with everything you are working on! I don’t follow anything baking, cooking or anything like this, but can’t get enough of your channel!
Yay! Glad you took some time off and SO glad you’re back! ❤
This was such a fun video !
The talent and creativity in all three is truly incredible.
So glad to see you are doing better! We all love you so much! You are amazing. ❤❤❤ You inspire me so much! ❤❤❤😄
Life is good. You and your sweetie have returned! Thanks for the holiday cheer.
yessssss we missed you so much Laurie you are a shining star and lots of love and happiness for the holiday season this year. Love youuuuuu
one of my favorite things of christmas season is THIS videos, I really love this 😍
I’m so glad that you got footage of the making of the cakes! Hopefully the bakeries give even more footage next time!
So glad you both got a well deserved break. Loved all the cakes and welcome back! Much love from Gensac, France
Next year you should get them to do a Chanukah cake
I’d be curious their take on it :)
But reindeer is fantastic
I’m so excited to watch your new video! I’ve been watching you for years! Keep it up💕
The cakes are all amazing! I love your genuine excitement when you first see each of them. All of the flavors sound delicious to me.
Fabulous video! The cakes were exceptional! I have missed your videos! I hope your break was exactly what you needed. Welcome back!❣️❣️❣️🎄🎄🎄
i’m glad to see you back with a video that you really seem to enjoy
We usually do bake gingerbread men (and other fun shapes) and then use them as ornaments.. Sometimes we save them for next year as well (we don’t eat them 😂 and of course we then bake another batch for eating). But I thought it is pretty common and was not confused by what this Santa is doing at all 😂 … I am from the Czech republic - Europe for reference 😂 🎄❤️
It might be a European thing because we do it as well and I'm British
Ppl did this In America too lol I was wondering why she was so fused and I thought that was an old school over! Not just a countertop
@@CM-pf1xc I thought it was an old school oven as well. I remember my great grandmother's had the smaller side doors like that on hers.
I’m so happy to see you back! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏻❄️⛄️
Yay! You’re back! Missed you. Hope you got some good rest and had a nice break to take care of yourself.
I was SO excited to see a new video from you pop up! And a CHRISTMAS one!!!! YAAAAAAY!! Welcome back!!!! Glad you took a much deserved rest. It was hard to wait, but you are worth it, for sure! And those cakes are unreal!! They were all great in their own way, but the drunken reindeer literally had me laughing out loud! The steam, the reinbeer, the calendar and slippers--so many touches that just kept me giggling. Glad the flavor lived up to the design. And your reactions are just the best; just kept the laughter going here! Love you guys! ❤🎄❤
This was so much fun!! Each one got better and better. Loved that reindeer one
I'm so happy that your back! This makes me more excited for Christmas 😁🎄
These are sooo cool! Would’ve loved to see a deconstructed version of each cake - like, how did they get the infuser to feed through so many parts of the cake?? 👀
All 3 of these cakes are beautifully done, but my favorite is also the reindeer cake! 😋 I wish I could taste it as I do like eggnog, but only a small glass. Actually a glass of eggnog with some liquor in it sounds really good right now. Thank you for this video! This series is my favorite no matter what holiday it is. You and Kevin make the videos so fun, and I am so glad you have a wonderful husband like him! 🥰 Have a great day and happy holidays 🎅🏻🤶🏻⛄️🎁🎄
The 3rd baker is the absolute BEST!! And so are YOU!! ❤❤❤ Thank you for taking TIME for YOU! SELF-CARE is vital to success!! I love these cakes so much!
Sweet Archie!! I’m a dog mom to 5 -yes 5!!!- Doodles and they are the best!
Happy to see you back . 😀 The cakes are inspiring. I want to up my baking style now .
Thank you so much for describing these cakes. I always love watching your videos welcome back that’s number one number two I’m also visually impaired person so you’re describing these cakes it’s really good
I'm glad you're back! 😀 I hope you're doing better and have a great Christmas 🎄🎅🎁
Its lovely to see you both. I hope the break did a world of good.
Yeah I’m so happy you made it back for this video!! Love them. I hope you’re doing much better, Happy Holidays🎄💕
The third one was amazing. That’s an amazing bakery. Their cakes are always stellar.
It's probably too late for this year, but I'd love to see bakeries do non-christmas holidays like Chanukah, Kwanzaa, winter solstice, etc. I feel like it's easy to find inspiration for Christmas but would be more of a challenge for the other winter holidays
I love the idea of a winter solstice one!!
I look forward to this every year! These cakes were amazing.
Welcome back! Glad you had some down time. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
That third cake was spectacular!
These are all incredible! I feel like they are worth even more than $700 with the effort and creativity that goes into them. So the businesses get their names out there so people can order from them if they liked a cake and want to go to the basket for something?
So happy you are back! Love your channel!
Mental health is just as important! Glad you took time for yourselves. Glad you are back!
Glad your back love all the cakes .The reindeer’s going round and round look like they were going in your mouth couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Really loved this episode! That final cake 🤯
I think maybe it'd be good if the clips from the bakeries were edited into the footage rather than watched through the laptop? Either way so glad you're both back, hoping you're doing well, sending love 🥰
I'm so glad to see you and Kevin! Enjoy your holidays! ❤️✌️
really appreciate the volume warnings lol
The Santa flying around your face was so hilariously distracting 😅
So glad you took some time for you and traveled.. Disney looked amazing btw. Happy youre back and im so excited for this video. These are my favorite for this time of year! Happy holidays from PA! 🎅🎄🎁 Cake#3 is my favorite too. They went above and beyond in that one.
So glad you are back and sending lots of luv from Australia
So by now do these bakeries know who they are making the cake for or do they think it's just an ordinary person bringing it home?!? As this series keeps going it keeps getting better and better I really wanna know if they know its going to be the icing artist ending up with the cake or joemaryann lol I've been wanting a video its nice to see you guys back 💜 Happy Holidays
Laurie, you just need to know that you are absolutely amazing and we love you so much!!!
Amazing! Fabulous! Magical! I'm flabbergasted by the ideas, the originality, and the execution!! Wow.
And please let us know if you need help finishing the cakes. 😋
OMG this made my day, I was so excited to see a new video... Welcome back. I love the drunken Reindeer and all the anticipation that Kevin used to build that up. I love seeing you but honestly, it's watching the 2 of you working together. You mesh so well.
WELCOME BACK!!!!!! I hope you are feeling better positivity/mental health wise. I love this video but I was surprised to know there are people in the world who don't like mint flavours... It's so refreshing and tasty but that's just me. Anyway I agree with visual favourite. Don't know which I'd choose flavour wise. I love mint but I find choc cakes can be too dry for my liking usually. I think it has to do with the cocoa in it. Plus I don't think I've every drunken egg nog. I know of it but I've just not drunken it. I think the closest equivalent I've had is zabaione. I do like that so maybe I'd like egg nog. Since Australia is summer for Christmas, egg nog isn't as popular.
the 2nd cake's santa is clearly a youtuber posing for a thumbnail
Glad you're back!! these cakes are incredible
Santa, cake #2, is definitely selling those cookies (or gingerbread ornaments lol)! Maybe saying $2, maybe asking if they want 2. The "baking station" is totally his stand for selling them! Wish the cotton candy had stayed put, but it is a stunner!
I think it’s time we elevate this series and have the bakers all in one room and baking together competition style
Omg you should do a collab with Bake my day Mimo😊❤
So glad you took some time for yourselves. 🙏🏽💕 I hope you really enjoyed yourselves. -Awesome video!!! Loved all the cakes! Especially Baker Santa and sauna reindeer. ~Here’s to a beautiful holiday season! 🌲💕🎄
Welcome back! I’m glad you had some fun and some rest. Take care and Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁
These cakes have really stepped it up from a few years ago..(I'm referring to the foam reindeer head cake which was beautiful, but not creative)
this lady never includes the bakery names AND is always super critical- i wish she would change or someone else would start doing videos like this
