Hello, just ordered this for my KENWORTH T660 and looking forward to increased air conditioning flow when visiting my boyfriend in Tennessee during summer. Shout out to Shoreline in Holland MI, I have family there ❤️. Looking forward to this upgrade to my truck!!
Absolutely phenomenal product and even better customer service. Does require some assembly which as a dealership tech, I wasn't used to as we are spoiled with as true of a plug and play as it gets. That being said- I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a new heater box. Can't say enough good things about them...PS you should throw that dewalt stuff in the trash and upgrade to all Milwaukee !!!
I just ordered this on ebay tonight what is the (freeze switch)? is that the thermostat or? If there is another part that I need to buy from dealer I would like to do so as I want to install everything new with this unit.
Hello Cujo! The freeze switch is mounted to the internal baffle plate. There is a tube attached to it that senses if the evaporator core has froze or not. It basically turns the compressor off if there is ice on the evaporator. It looks like you ordered a f31-1036ss-2, which comes with everything besides the recirculation door actuator and the plastic intake that mounts to the side for fresh air intake.
We're in Holland, Michigan. WI Kenworth in Mosinee is the closest to Plainfield, WI. Also, Heavy Metals (HM Repairs and Services) in Lodi, WI isn't too far from Plainfield, WI either.
Hello Vlad, two reasons that I can think of, the OEM HVAC box is made with sheet metal. It will eventually rust out. The Northern states typically have more issues with rust than the Southern states. Our boxes are made with 18 gauge 304 stainless. They will not corrode like normal steel. They will also outlast aluminum. The second reason is our blower motor out performs the OEM blower. Kenworth is known for not so great air flow.
@Shoreline Manufacturing Hey I hope that you see this as the weekend is the only time I have to install or attempt. There are two expansion valves included are they both needed for install or two different ones for two different applications(installation scenarios? Should I install as is out of the box assembled or disassemble and reassemble piece by piece?
I am sorry we didn't see this this weekend for you! We provide two different expansion valves depending on the application of what is or was in your truck. We have found it easier to disassemble for install as you will have to fish your wiring harness into the new box anyway. Fishing the new harness in seems to be easier with an empty box.

Give or take how much time is involved in installing and how much more labor intensive or intricate than going back with factory?
@@edenfieldjared0 took me a few hours, probably 2-3 hours longer than OEM. OEM however is 3x the price and 1/3 the quality.
is that fan resistor you're moving?
The heater core being behind the evaporator is just cancer

I'm a little disappointed that, for a professional install, the evap coil didn't look as though it was properly cleaned.
Where are y'all located at or where is one of your dealers that can install near Nashville,TN. or Plainfield,WI.?

What about the one he cut off?
Never showed how he got to them on inside
Studs are welded to box instead of using bolts. Nuts were tightened from inside
@@heytasker it'd be nice if they showed that part since that's the hardest part.
Thanks I did it in my 09 kenworth
Why did you get a new heater box? Did you have problem with air flow?
Np , now flow better, my rust out
What was the total time you spent on this project?
Can't believe you didn't clean everything before reinstall...
