Oh fun fact about Tyrolean Tubtwist, if you don't already know, it's the last standing Virgina Reel in the world. So literally a bit of theme park history right there. It was my main motivation for going!
The snails are legendary along with the tubs. People ride them with their grand parents, parents then their own kids and grand kids. Seems to have a lot of nostalgia for many in the UK and also coaster clubs from all over the world go to GY to ride the Roller Coaster at the PB, but also Joyland to ride the tubs and snails. Each time I go back the memories come flooding back and no other park hits like that, apart from possibly BPB but the magic from the 80's has been lost sadly. But Joyland and GY Pleasure Beach still have it. To me anyway 😊
That’s so good to hear I definitely got the feeling of nostalgia at joyland was a pleasure getting on the rides there, and can definitely see why so many people go to ride those rides 😊
Apart from the obvious Modern Products rides, (Pirate Ship, Paratrooper and Major Orbit) and the Spook Express roller coaster, their unique rides are built in-house (Snails, Tubs, Neptune’s Kingdom, Jet Racing Cars). Fascinating park with a history that they should really be writing up in a book. The original Snails ride has been altered significantly since it was first built.
@@robwarner9371 fantastic thank you for sharing this Yh the they should definitely right about the history of the park dare we say it the best historical park in the country beats Blackpool pleasure beach in terms of historical rides!
Fantastic! Getting me hyped for taking my 8 yr old niece there next month. She’s gonna love it but secretly her aunt might enjoy it more 😂 corrrr that tub ride and the snails look bumpy but I think that’s part of the charm. Did you happen to notice the price of the horse and cart rides? If I can budget it in I’d like to take her on those. They’re pretty pricey these days though I’d assume. Thanks for bringing us along! Looking forward to the pleasure beach vlog and Pleasurewood Hills too! 🙌
Thanks for watching the vlog! We didn’t look but a bit of searching and we found a price range around £15-20 but not 100% sure sorry. Hope you have a lovely time with your 8yr old niece and have better weather than us 😀
@@AdventureTimesUK Ah bless you for searching. Thank you! Yes, the weather has gone bloody awful the past few days. Hope you get some sun for the rest of your trip!
@@WheezyCatLady you can pay as you go and choose how much you pay. I'm not sure if you can pay with cash but definitely with card. The rides on the pier are great as well. Us grown ups have an excuse when we're with our kids 😂😂😉
@@AdventureTimesUK hopefully we'll get lovely weather in August and September. I feel sorry for our kids, cos it's always lovely weather when they're in school and at the weekends and holiday it's pissing it down, 😂😭😂
@@AdventureTimesUK it's so much fun we've been 3 times and we dress up, currently saving my hair long to dress up as Morticia Addams, and the scare actors recognise us lol
Thanks for this video guys really enjoyed it 👍🏻
Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed it 👍
Big fan of a Sea Life plush. I literally don't go anywhere overnight without my otter: Tia!
So nice to finally catch up on the vlogs post my own trip.

My Mum’s cousin used to make the rock in the 1960’s. We always used to leave with a bag full of rock. Yummy
@@Msnando09 nice never short of rock in your house then 😀

You should visit the comic Con event at Yarmouth'S race course, it's amazing
We’d love to but a bit far for us to come unfortunately but if we were in the area we would it does look really good 😊

Such a shame that our summer is terrible 😢😢😢. Been swimming 3 times this year. First time it was +10 and the second time it was +13
