Most definitely the second best movie of the Nightmare on Elm street catalog. As young teenagers we thought it was the absolute COOLEST for Dokken to do this song/video. Excellent memories. Their best album is Under Lock and Key. LONG LIVE THE 80'S. We were the luckiest kids ever.
George Lynch tells great story about filming this music video. They were sitting around with Robert Englund in costume doing lines of coke all day and when it came time to film the guitar solo and George tried to break through that wall he couldn't make it so they had to do a few takes of him running into the wall before he finally was able to get through. Man those first three albums are just three of the best ever for a man. Sadly they couldn't get along with each other and there was way too much drugs going on which makes it surprising that out of the California three, George outlived Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen
this song is good but prefer others by them like, It's Not Love, Breaking the Chains, Burning Like a Flame, Heaven Sent, Mr. Scary(George Lynch is beast on this one)
I saw Dokken back in 1988 when they came to Spokane, WA on the Van Halen Monsters of Rock Tour, with Kingdom Come, Metallica, Scorpions and Van Halen, and I remember seeing both Don and George avoiding each other on stage, as there was a lot of tension within the band at that time. They sounded great, and it my first time seeing them live. Right after the last show on the tour, they broke up and went their separate ways.
Hello boys!! I actually caught a Dokken pick at one of their concerts early 2000's. We were in the second row back from the stage, I am short and was surrounded by tall people and it just came right to me. My favorite color is purple, and the pick was purple. This was at a big hair back in Reno, Nevada with four other bands, so we had a room. On the way to the room we rode in the elevator with them.
"No, Freddy! Why did you take him away? He hated that solo!" Haha! I like how you take the time to give some artist background in the beginning of each reaction, your relaxed good natured and intelligent commenting and for always wrapping up things nicely at the end. I agree with you. Not a masterpiece but an alright song.
The song that got me into Dokken was Into The Fire - it was hard and loud and right at that time when there were many genres of "metal" duking it out for fans - then Thrash hit the scene and "hair band" rock went main stream. Dokken was different at the time - they're first 4 albums are all awesome.
There's a cool pic of Don, George, and Freddy together. I actually watched Freddy 3 a couple weeks ago for the first time in at least 25 years. It's still pretty good. The effects are very 80's but the movie itself is still decent.
never thought Dokken was Glam. They were just a really good Hard Rock band. George Lynch was one of the top 5 80's hard rock guitar idols. He was originally hired to replace the late great Randy Rhoads, but Sharon didn't like George's look etc, so they fired George and hired Jake E. Lee. To me the top 5 hard rock guitar idols were: Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, George Lynch, Jake E. Lee & Vivian Cambell. Warren Demartini was #6 to me.
🦋I Love All the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. By far my Top 2 Favorites is the very 1st One & Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare. My Absolute Favorite part, is the scene where Spence Trips Out Watching Tv, As Freddy Starts His Epic Kill While playing Iron Butterfly's InnaGadaDavida. Entrapping Spence inside the Tv. Johnny Depp Also has a brief appearance again, during the scene. As For The Dream Warriors I'd Say It's in My Top 5 Favorite Freddy Movies. Great Reaction Guys!
This video really isn't the same when you haven't seen the film. They actually shot footage specifically to integrate Dokken into scenes from the movie.
@@ViewsFromThe502 its wild that people think that you had to be there at the exact moment the song was released to enjoy it. and he didn't even get the date it was released right lmaooo
Wow, I had to unclick my thumbs up to give you 3 a thumbs down for disrespecting the vocals of Don Dokken. I do not know too many people who can hit his highs and maintain them, but apparently you do to be critical of him. No wonder you only have 30k subscribers.
Yeah I don't think we were negative as much as you say but hear what you want. You don't have to be upset just because someone has a different opinion than you. Music is subjective.

The genius of George Lynch, one of the greatest 80s shredders.
"The vocals are good?" Are u crazy ??? Its PERFECT!!!!❤❤❤
Fun fact about the video shoot: The members of Dokken sniffed cocaine off Freddie's Fingergloves
That’s awesome! Haha Did he do some lines with them ?
George lynch's guitar is called Mr. scary he has a Solo called that as well
That bones guitar is known as 'mother'.
This is THE song when you’re washing your 87 Camaro! 🤘🏻
Nightmare on Elm St 3 is almost as good as the original. Def should watch Nightmare 3
Love the opening riff. What a great band
Best part of nightmare 3 was this song LOL

How many of our 80s metal videos had the lead guitarist break through the wall, ceiling, van… 🤣🤘🏼

I hope you will do more Dokken reations. I mean, "Alone Again". To die for. LOL. (but seriously, such a great band!)
I will forever be Rockin' with Dokken.

I saw this same show at Texas Stadium in Dallas. It was so awesome! First time seeing Dokken, second time seeing Metallica and Van Halen. \m/
I saw the same tour in East Troy Wisconsin
saw the same concert in Minnesota. Don and George were having issues here also.
I love Dokken! I own multiple albums by them… keep up the good work guys!

At a big hair??
@@EllakGr sorry a Big Hair Band concert. It’s what they called the 80’s bands.
one of their best was lost behind the wall
Check out Mr. Scary or Kiss of Death from these guys

I couldn’t sleep for months after watching the first movie, as a kid! But it got better when lynch kills it :)

Her name is Heather Langenkamp who was in the 1st, 3rd and Freddies nightmare
Love y'all's channel! This shit takes me back to 6th grade 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Dokken had success in the 80s primarily. Great reaction 🔥👍
Mr. Scary. It must be done. The lyrics are killer. ;>}
Check out Mr. Scary on their Beast From the East album. It's an instrumental and it's awesome. Lynch is phenomenal on it.
OMFG! I love you guys! Dokken!!! I love this band LOVE LOVE LOVE! Hope you love it too! Never ever saw the movie but have ALWAYS loved the band!
This is epic! Both the song and the movie.

Excellent song!!
🎃🎸🎸 Dokken- Heaven Sent 🎸🎸🎃
Back in the day we had Freddy party’s and watch all the Elm Street videos !!! Freddy , food, weed , all we needed for a good time!!! 😝
I heard George Lynch talk about how him and the band got high with Robert Englund using the Freddy claw blades and snorting off them.

Pump the Primetime!
Hey guy's, loved the reaction 😊. You all might like In my Dreams by Dokken also. Hope you check it out sometime.
badass af lads

1 and 3 really only good Freddy movies......then they got comical and hokey.
Freddy rules!
Pls react to skidrow.band ....I remember you live in Moscow..
Thanks ..watching from Tokyo japan
I thoroughly enjoy DOKKEN but little kid voices like that? No thanks. Nope... i am so glad my 'kids' are now 36,35 and 28. Not as creepy anymore 🤣
The second movie sucked in my opinion but I’d like the rest of them!!!!
There is not 1 of these 3 clowns that actually remembers when this master piece was released...sounds as good now as it did in July of 1987
What does that have to do with anything lol music is timeless and has always been subjective
@@ViewsFromThe502 its wild that people think that you had to be there at the exact moment the song was released to enjoy it.

this is probably not one of their better songs . lots other tunes , its not love, heaven sent, in my dreams, into the fire , tooth and nail.
Not much justice with that Dokken song! Try Tooth and Nail, In My Dreams, Just Got Lucky and The Hunter. That’s just a few.

Guys... when you are going to do lightning strikes again by Dokken... you wont regret it
