I love the way the drummer keeps the beat in this song.
The channel is bringing me back with good music, one of Sabbath's best with snowblind, wizard, etc... not just the main radio songs
Bought this album around 1976. I was like 13 years old.
Geezer killing it on that bass!!
Great album!
Finally!
Some Sabbath.
More please.
My own fave is Wheels of Confusion from Vol4.
This song is almost as old as me and it still is heavy as hell!!
The ultimate Cannabis tribute. Discovery of euphoria!
"And soon the world will love you Sweet Leaf". How right they were.
I like this powerful riff, for 1971 it was unique then, something new.
This is the song you want to pass back and forth a twisted Big Bamboo spleaf
Iommi riffs and ozzy vocals are so damn good together
I think this was the first song I ever rehearsed with my first band at 15 years old around 1981-82. Of course the singer had to recreate the cough authentically in my parents basement which had me thinking, Oh shit, we're gonna get busted.
Fairies wear boots ❤
🎯
Intro and outro 🔥🤘🏽🔥
Do you guys know that the guitar player says that 3 days before they were going out to record their first album, he was still working the sheet metal worker, and he accidentally cut off the tips of three of his left hand fingers I believe, so to protect his fingers he used the Caps off of dish soap squeeze bottles. 100% true
He's a left-handed guitar player so the tips that were cut off were on his right hand.
@thomaswest7746 whoops! Lol ty
I first heard this song in 1989. My sister had bought Blacktrackin, which was a double-cassette "best of"
We wanted a country, just to make this the National Anthem, and see who moved there.
Bill Ward's major influences were jazz and big band stuff. So, he had a swing to his drumming that was unusual for heavy rock bands at the time (maybe Ginger Baker of Cream, who was basically a jazz drummer), but he also hit hard af. The man's a monster drummer, extremely innovative and influential, and one of the greatest of all time.
One of my favorite Sabbath songs! My other favorite is FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS it a wicked good song and I collect fairies! Puff puff pass✌️❤️🤘
Legends for eternity
As a young kid I knew stuff like Metallica (in their thrash years), Sepultura, etc, but it was just noise to me. When I heard my brother playing this, I was like, "ooooooh, now I understand heavy music". Pandora's Box opened.
Great song. As Nick says, it is IMPETUOUS. 😁 The whole band is firing on all cylinders here, especially in the middle section, where they're all going nuts on their respective instruments.
I see that this is only you guys' 4th Black Sabbath reaction video. Your next one HAS to be their #1 signature song: "Paranoid" the title song off the same album as "War Pigs/Luke's Wall" and "Iron Man," both of which you've done before. Each of those songs are amazing and long; this one is amazing and short (only 2:55). This is THE #1 Black Sabbath song that everyone either knows or should know. Most of the rest of the album is great too (including the much-suggested album closer "Jack The Stripper/Fairies Wear Boots") but you need to listen to "Paranoid" first. DO IT!!
The definition of Heavy Metal right there
Ward swings the most heaviest metal band ..
Black Sabbath 1968-eternity🤘
I sparked one up as tribute before you started the song!
Nice 🔥❤
Boy, that characteristic--and powerfully plodding--guitar riff lets you know immediately what band you're listening to. Bill Ward's drumming and Ozzie, singing a love song/ode to weed 😂, are the cherries on top. (I wonder if he tells his wife, Sharon, "I love you" with that much conviction, lol.)
why is Bill Ward is my Drummer of all time ever.
The sound at the beginning is guitarist Tony Iommi coughing after inhaling marijuana smoke from a bong.
The Wizard next please!🤘🏻
Snowblind is fire as well
I actually had the first 10 seconds of this song as my ringtone for years and yes, that includes the coughing fit😮💨
Awesome! My favorite song by them!🤘🔥
MYTHOS - " Aeronaut " from 1977 PROG METAL / KRAUT ROCK. the Intro is Insane with a combination of Heavy Drums & Guitar riffs and Synths + Awsome Basslines makes for an absolute Heavy Metal Classic , literally sounds like 1980's Metal. 3 years before in 1977. Also check out... SCORPIONS - "" Polar Nights ( 2021 Remasterer) "" Original 1976 Version// Rock Metal Classics 🎸
OVERKILL - "" Hammer Head "" AUDIO 1986 Heavy Metal / Thrash Metal Classics w/ SPEEDING DRUM INTRO. Youguys are gonna dig this song too Great Vocals and Amazing Sound too. 🎸
I'm really surprised I caught you live! Do you do this normally at the same time?? Check out the Canadian rock group toronto, they're amazing female lead singer Holly Woods, and their song Looking for trouble, even the score and many others. They had a big hit with your daddy don't know, and the group heart covered one of their songs as well
Well, this is taking a music genre 180, but if you're ever interested in doing a deeper cut dive into "The Truth's" catalog, I'd suggest "The Caves of Altamira". There's even a sax solo for Ryan. "I.G.Y." and "The Nightfly"--two great songs from Donald Fagen's first solo album--are also something to consider.
🤠
Bill Ward's the King.....
check out children of the grave
React to a local band, Houseplant, please. Local jam band.
You younger folk will never understand, we smoked some serious BS Rag-Weed back in the day. Probably 1/5 as potent as modern stuff. There is a valid reason Cheech and Chong rolled joints the size of Rhode Island. And yes, that cheap sht could send you into Whooping Cough Mode. lol
Please!!!!!! REACT TO THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
