mech Warrior had dropships that contained several mechs. so they did the whole drop fortress thing a long time back.
It looked like you picked deployment type C and then deployed like sort of like A.

I thought the chaos could only deploy on the flanks? The Imperium chap chose the second deployment option....
Yeah, they played that wrong. Ash should have been totally split, although the usual response to that is to stick a token escort squadron in one zone and everything else in the other.

Was he moving inches or cm? Battlefleet is on centimeters but he kept saying inches.
Also is it me or does Ad Mech seem weaker than Impirials? All the 'coo' stuff just bloat your points but I didnt see too much benefit...
Also also, firing your novas once means you did something wrong... you buy novas to use them :D

According to the rules, you can pick 1 defiant or endurance cruiser for 1 endeavor cruiser...so to pick 2 endurance cruisers and defiant cruiser you should pick 3 endeavor cruisers.
ADMech have their own fleet list that doesn't have this limitation
I don’t think you can shoot your own hulks to trigger catastrophic damage. Also can’t find and mention of overkill in the original rules or 2010 update.
Ademch get it as a special rule to prevent people seizing their Tech. You can ‘accidentally’ send Torpedoes into one. :)

Agreed, although the end point totals don't reflect it. Very bad choice trying to use dual nova cannon in 1000 point game with no torps to discourage the inevitable Chaos rush. Especially not helpful losing a carrier first turn, so he couldn't even build a viable bomber wall instead. AdMech tempts you into trying to go gun-on-gun more than conventional Impies, which is just playing to Chaos strengths. That said, 1000 points of Chaos with no carrier and only two mid-cost escorts? Begging to die to an even moderate ordnance presence. Look what just one carrier did to him. Always bring a Devastation or two, or maybe a Styx.
