I don't know if you study history with frequency, but many buildings in Europe dates from Middle Ages or even before. There is houses, still inhabitated, in Scotland and England dating from early Middle Ages. @amandanelson3345 I screen recorded it to try and make it out. The voice you can hear talking happens in my bedroom all of the time, but it's a woman's voice, not a man's. Darkness : Are you not the most, loathsome of my goblins? Blix : Truly, master. Darkness : And is your heart black, and full of hate? Blix : Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch.
I'm really glad you guys filmed this castle. Is very interesting to learn about the history of the castle. I went to Scotland back in 2001 is a little bit scary because that was the first time ever flown anywhere and I was by myself. I was married at the time but he didn't seem to want to go. I stayed in Edinburgh and took a one day trip to the highlands. I really desperately need to go back to the UK extremely soon. Thank you again for this video 😊.
So I have to say that you do a lot of research on the places you visit and it's well worth it. It makes your travels so much more for us watching. Enjoy Scotland and I will look forward to your next adventure!
Scotland is so beautiful and has some great castles to visit . The mountains in glen coe is worth visiting absolutely stunning and there is a lot of history up that way . Loving the content once again 🎃
Man, that wall is massive. Could you imagine? The intense labor to build something like that. Not to mention a castle, too. That's is mind blowing. I'm picturing a bunch of little goblins running around a fire roaring over there. Somewhere in the corner, it is totally cool. Throw in a couple pack mules in a clark
I would like to inform you that it is your respect and appreciation for the location and the goblins that kept you safe in this location. Goblins are far different from the rumors spread about us. Also, because you seem curious, few goblin are "cute", though it's not unheard of, most goblin have sharp teeth and no goblin would ever eat human flesh. Hobgoblin are the exception, they're the ones cast out from goblin society. However it's still unheard of with them, just possible. Also you may have gained a new spirit friend or two. If this is the case they will be surprisingly respectful and pranky at the most opportune times. though it may take some reflection or patience to understand how the pranks are beneficial. I see great potential in you two lovely folks. I wish you the greatest adventures with the best rewards for you.

I see her walking around in here all of the time, and she constantly tugs on my blanket and taps on my feet. She also stands in my bathtub and moves the shower curtain when I'm sitting on the toilet. I'm so used to it that it doesn't bother me. She likes waking me up.
@@sabik6979but what does this have to do with what the voices said in the video 😂 you said you screen recorded it and then acted like you were about to give a explanation then proceeded to tell your ghost experience at home lol
Strange
Absolutely adored this! Old castles and ruins are a love of mine! This was perfect 🖤
It's not halloween for me without binging the Grimm Life videos. Random, but just wanted to thank you for the audio on your vids-I appreciate how both of you are mic'd up so we can actually clearly hear what you're saying without background noise!
Thank you micheal and jessica for taking use to the castle it was a great video as all ways can't wait for your next adventure
Very awesome of you to stay cool after hearing those voices! I would have totally freaked out! So awesome safe travels guys. Love your videos ❤️
Watched this channel for a while now! glad you guys came to my home country, hope you had a fantastic stay 🏴
Gorgeous and spooky, now we are talking, love a ruin like that complete with disembodied voices just for fun.
O man, this castle is just epic! Watching this in a dark room in the dark, it send shivers down my spine. Leave it up to the Grimm life collective to make awesome content about creapy and historical places. Just love it!
I watched this and wasn’t able to comment due to restricted mode being on and not being able to turn it off, anyone else having this issue?! Ughhhh made me not be able to comment on my besties video! The castle ruins were absolutely beautiful, plays on your imagination about what it looked like before! And you are right about the eerie witchy feeling! I felt it too! Definitely gave it a perfectly spooky tone throughout! Another amazing beautiful perfection filled video! Making me wish I was physically there but that’s what I love about your channel so much is that your videos make you feel you are actually there! It truly is amazing! Another place to visit added to my bucket list! Thank you for this besties! ❤🎃🤦🏼♀️👻🐍🦇💚❤️🎃👻❤️🥰
I haven't heard of this restricted mode thing but you were able to comment just now, so did you have problems earlier? And may I ask if you post things YT doesn't like? 'Cause I do that quite a bit.
@@websurfer5772 actually I googled it and sometimes the comment sections will be in restricted mode depending on your WiFi. Because at work when I tried watching this it didn’t let me comment. But as soon as I got home I was able to comment and restricted mode was off
@@kyleechristina1231 Oh, that's interesting. Thanks for letting me know.
First of all that was awesome 👍👍 I actually heard voices. The way you filmed Mrs Jessica going down into the dark bliss was very cinematic. I loved it. Great video guys.👍❤️👍
Goblins are my absolute favorite. I always think of Blix from Legend, or the goblins from Warhammer. Vicious, clever, and malicious creatures.
Absolutely love Legend….has to be the longer European cut, as I prefer it & the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack is so good.
Darkness : Ah, Blix. Come closer.
Blix : You summoned me, lordship?
Amazing video! Thanks for sharing!
I've always wanted to visit Scotland. Thanks for starting my Halloween weekend with a perfectly spooky video!
That’s really creepy to hear the voice of an old spirit down there! This was an amazing video and one of my favorites so far. Keep up the great work!
Great video. The skill required to build that castle by hand is amazing. Happy Halloween!👻🎃
How scary!!! Those voices. I wonder what they said. Fascinating video, as always❤
What a treat, thank you, thank you guys, it blew my mind away you only see this in movies !! Can't think that a place like this exist. Good luck guys 🌸
I was afraid we were gonna lose Baby Ghoul coming down that last teeny tiny trail! Thanks for going to cool places that I will never get to see! It sucks being old & broken! Stay safe, Spooky Boo's.and HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 😉🎃👻🎃❤️
Every week we say “ that was the best one yet!” Your films get better and better. The whole family get together to enjoy your stuff. Thanks very much, we love you.
It genuinely makes my day a bit brighter seeing you two have posted a new video! The Goultastic Grimms! Safe travels my friends!
Scotland is one of my favorite places! I wish I could have the resources to go more often... beautiful place!! thanks for sharing! a big hug guys!! You are great!!
What a beautiful eerie place! Loved watching you & Jessica walk through the wooded paths! And Jessica walking down the steps inside the castle! So mysterious… glad both are having a great time! Thanks for the wonderful video! ❤ 🦇 Happy Halloween Weekend! 🎃 👻
I'm diggin this folklore castle 🏰 story. Thanks for introducing it to me.
Jessica looks so cute and bundled up lol. I adore her childlike wonder and giggle 😊.
How do you choose your next destinations aka adventures?
Oh man I was getting serious anxiety for you both down there. I'm holding my breath 🫁 and didn't even realize. I was scared for you both, thinking what if that tunnel collapsed because it's 756yrs old 😬. When you two were scaling the side of the hill to get to the tunnel, I was getting dizzy 😵💫🫨.
I've always just been amazed of the skill of the people who handcut those stones in sediment place, and then how thick the walls are just beyond me
Just found this channel through looking up stand by me videos, and now this! Slàinte mhath mo charaidean, bhidio sgoinneil! Tha tòrr beul aithris sgoinneil agus inntinneach aig Alba.
I'm American with heavy Scottish roots, ties to the Drummond, Blair, Cathcart, and Grant clans. I appreciate the highlighting of the folklore and scenery of Scotland you have done.
It rocks that you’re able to get across the pond and explore all these ancient ruins and landmarks to video for content!! It’s a win/win for you and your audience!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
That was amazing ! Thank you for bringing this video to us. Those voices were chilling to hear ! You guys are truly the best !
You’ve both outdone yourselves on this one. This has to be one of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you both for putting it out there. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this.
Okay! Wow, Wow, and Wow. Thank you for going into that castle. Voices, Whoa! Was someone outside? OMG! So excited, I was when you went down the stairs, then the claustrophobia set in. Yikes. So cool it was open. Oh, and that stream and bridge. Magical!
Wild that this place is nearly 800 years old. Incredible work you two. Giving us the gift of seeing this via UA-cam.👻☠️ Happy Halloween y'all 😎
That's a guess by someone
Love the Goblin castle!! I got a big laugh hearing about scenes from Labyrinth!! Thank you for the video!!
So amazing! 🔥 this is going to make the “Grimm Favorites” playlist of ours! #StayScary 👽
As a UK citizen your excitement of our history is palpable. I've never been to Yester Castle but it looks awesome.
Some of the places the Grimms have visited on their trips are amazing!! How much research did you do before the trip? The views you capture are so majestic and beautiful. Thank you for taking us all along and Happy Halloween 🎃
Been watching your channel for couple years now and I enjoy every video you guys make…I noticed that you’re using wireless mic’s not saying that you’ve ever had a audio issue but its very noticeable and very nice and clear I love that extra detail…keep it up guys much love from LA ✊🫡
It’s so beautiful in Scotland! Wow I hear a little bit of the voices in the castle, that is weird and creepy. It gave me chills. Thank you for sharing another amazing Grimm Adventure and Happy Halloween.🎃 Love you guys🧡💚
Really enjoy the way you present your videos. Going down those stairs reminded me of a few mines I've explored, very creepy lol. Very engaging video. I need to be more like that in myv vids. Thanks for another entertaining video
Very cool! I bet you'll never think of the phrase "walking history" the same ever again. You can't get anymore historical than walking into a castle built in 1267, amazing. Did you figure out anything about those voices? And did you hear them while you were there? Or not until you watch the video back? Fantastic tour for this time of year. Happy Halloween!!! 👻👻👻☠️☠️☠️ Stay safe.❤️❤️❤️
The egyptian pyramids say hello
Never heard any voices ..But loved the castle as one Scotsman to another lol
I know there's quite a lot of older places in the world. All I meant was that there is not very many places in the world older than this castle. Where you can just walk around, let alone go into unsupervised.
He asked her if she said something so he heard something. I def heard voices just sounded muffled or a different language
What a cool and spooky place! I loved your reference to David Bowie's "Labyrinth", I loved those Goblins! :-) You and Jessica are so cool! I love the places you visit and how you share them.
👩🎤 I'm sure the Starman approves.
What a spooktacularly magical place! I don't think I could have gone down the steps to Hell...the voices actually gave me goosebumps! Wow. I've really been enjoying your travels in Europe. Thank you, Michael and Jessica. Happy Halloween. 🖤💀
Just found your channel & enjoy the content. Love the visits to historical places like this castle, especially with the interesting 'voices' (have you analyzed the conversation yet?) Lots of the stones have hewn marks from tools, yet I can imagine goblins clawing them into the rectangle shapes. Spooky & cool. Thanks for sharing this visit, looking forward to watching more. Blessings!
so beautiful there wow. also reminds me of willow lol great movie with trolls lol
I’m CTFU!!! You two are great I love watching you! I felt that when you said a full moon movie and from the 80s!! It’s a nostalgia that we can’t quite remember clearly , but it’s there!! I really enjoyed this one. Thank you.
Loved this one .That stone tunnel was so cool.Have fun.❤
for the first 3/4's of this video i felt like i was INSIDE of a fantastic children's movie- the best ever made with the castle walls, ruins and forest!!! the last 1/4 i got so claustrophobic! i would not have been able to go down those steps! thankyou for doing it for me! one of your best videos although i love so many of them it's hard to say! 🖤🧡🖤
You were so brave going down those stone stairs and hearing those voices! Wow! What an incredible place! I agree with Michael about Labyrinth! I'm so happy you are both discovering some of the amazing places and history in the UK. I love Scotland so much. Happy halloween! 🎃 👻
Super cool! Love this kind of stuff. Great job guys
❤ Absolutely beautiful! I love the rich green forest plus the architecture of that castle is amazing. You both look so awesome. Have you considered creating and selling a picture book? 😉😉😉
🤩🤩🤩
Such a great place for you to finally record and experience an EVP. I loved your persistence to travel inside and down the stairs. You both have gone leaps and bounds from your beginnings. So happy for you both to live your dreams. Such a good video. Happy Halloween and Happy Travels!!!!
A perfect trip for the Halloween season. Fascinating, incredible place, especially when you think when it was built. This was a treat. Thank you two for letting me tag along. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
The part of you two taking turns going down the stairs has got to be the most horrifying but exhilarating experience I've witnessed in all your videos - and holy shit the voices
Sir Didymus and his faithful steed Ambrosius must have been taking a day of to let you pass the bridge over the the bog of eternal stench 🤣🤙🏻. Love it though as always a highlight of my day seeing a Grimm video for me to see especially on my home the uk 🫶🏻. You didn’t say though was there other visitors? Or was the voices potentially EVP’s?.
This is the kind of explorations I'm interested in your adventures, quiet and peaceful and most of all, mysterious 😉😉😉😉
You guys seem to never disappoint this part of history and being there is pretty cool. A castle hidden in the forest is even cooler there's no way I would have made it down those stairs lol yester castle is something I want to read about even more! The voices were definitely freaky. Thanks guys much love happy Halloween 🎃🖤🎃💚
Such a beautiful and magical place!
Thanks for bringing us with you, guys. 🖤
This place looks incredible and the goblin voices were so spooky! 🖤
Ok wait I’m sorry but are y’all not going to comment or elaborate on the voices you captured on film? I know you’re both used to creepy locations and maybe captures sounds or voices before but this is the first time I’ve seen or heard voices captured in one of your videos. I’m so intrigued and curious about this! Please shed some light on it if you could?
Good morning from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains 🎃🍁🐻👻... and aw ALWAYS, Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
What stunning architecture & amazing history! Thank you this hauntingly beautiful video. I'm in love with the Scottish whispers of Yester Castle.
The both of you make every Halloween extra special. Much gratitude 🕷
