How Karen Got Into Flinders Medicine with MedView

Karen is getting both her Clinical Science degree and her Doctor of Medicine degree at Flinders University’s 6-year program. In Karen's words, “MedView has a really well-rounded service where they have someone with expertise in every single university in Australia for Medicine. So if I needed a tutor for Sydney University, they have someone they could refer me to who could provide me first-hand experience and tips for how to succeed in those interviews…MedView also has a lot of resources, and could always refer me to more people [while my Manager] was always there to make sure I was on top of things...I had a Manager called Yuzi…who really helped me understand the process and how to apply, what to expect in terms of the MMI interviews, the panel interviews, MCAT preparation. I had a lot of UCAT tutors, who really helped me get my interviews prepped as well."
Karen also is herself a Strategist for Crimson/MedView! As she says in this video, she really relished the opportunity to give back and help other students get into their dream universities and medicine programs after MedView helped her do the same. Some of her words about that experience:
“As a Strategist, I help students from New Zealand and Australia apply to Australian medical schools…I give them tips on what kind of strategies we need to implement to achieve their goals. For example, getting a UCAT score of over 3000, getting an ATAR of 99+, how to succeed in interviews by determining what kind of style they’re more suited to…we’re all about making our students more well-rounded and more able to face these different situations catered to a specific school…We can always find someone who can cater to your learning style.”
