    A Nurse Practitioner ( NP ) gets $ 120 k to $160k per year and a PhysicianAssistant ( PA ) too gets same range of salary in New York State . Resident Doctors have to practice under a board certified Doctor . After the completion of their residency they can get board certification. Board certified Doctors are well paid in USA ....A board certified Doctor's salary in New York is
    $232 k to $302 k per year ...

    I can imagine young Doctor staring at the numbers just like me now 😂🤑 In Hungary ( where I graduated), I got a residency with 1000 euro per month and life is getting more and more expensive. If I accept this residency, it means my mother will continue to spend money on me for ever. This is why moving to the US is very convenient for those who are willing to prepare for USMLE and can afford. This is not only because of salaries but because the American board is worth moving abroad.

    One thing you're missing about your salary is that there is an inflation adjustment each year on top of the increase in salary for your PGY level. The listed salaries are for the 2022-2023 year only. So for your PGY2 year you won't make $65,696 but more likely around $67,000 or so.

    I was a Medical Technologist. With a degree in Medical Technology and double minor chemistry and biology. After 4.5 years college education and degree and 25 years plus experience I averaging at least half this. About $45,000.00 per year I was not a doctor or a nurse. A nurse with only about 4 years experience could possibly be making about $55,000 to $65.000 per year at my institution. And with more experience possibly more. Ultra sound tech can make $56.000 to $86,000 per year and many of these only have associates degree the high paid specialized may have full 4 year degree.

    I never thought they only pay $18.4/hr doing residency. Some of Associated degree Register Nurse could make $80.000/ year easily as fresh graduates with only work 40 hours/week. If you’re doing as a traveling nurse will make more and do overtime as well. I will guide my daughter to take school for Register Nurse first before pursue her dream to be a doctor. As little as 2 years doing school nursing after graduate you can start working right way and earn a great income. As a nurse you have so much knowledge in bedside how to treat your patients from A to Z. Nurse is a second hand of the doctors who observe sign and symptoms that patients display. Your knowledge as a nurse will really benefit when you start doing medical school. Just a thought. I’m a nurse as well.

    Hello Manik
    I recently applied for my B1/B2 visa in India but couldn’t book any appointment slots as for now consular operations have been suspended. There is no clear info on when it’s going to start again and my visit to US is strictly time limited as I’m pushing for my clinical rotations.
    Here to seek help on this. What should be done if I wants to travel to states soon for rotations?

  • @kmprash
    @kmprash 25 днів тому

    note that this salary is to study MD or master of surgery. not bad. As soon as they complete starting salary will be 200k and it can go to million dollars as they get experienced. But they go thro hardship for first 10 years. 22+5+4 which is 31 by the time they complete MD. 17 dollars per hour, 600 dollars per year benefits etc is laughable since it is less than daily wages for many US states. people with zero skills can earn close to 20 dollars per hour (in grocery shops, gas stations etc)

    Dude residency salary u don’t multiply by 83. There is a term called purchasing power parity. Lets say my stipend as PGY2 internal medicine is 60000 usd, that translates to 60000*23= 13,80,000 INR. And when u file ITR it is considered income, so u have to pay tax.
    Federal as well as state. All other points are valid, multiplying by 83 is just like giving IV lasix In dehydration.

    One thing I know is that they work far too hard for that much of a salary.
    This is just about what an LPN earns.
