I work at a barber supply store and I love sneaking a whiff of these aftershaves whenever I get the chance. Gent's Gin is personally my favourite (especially since it's summer right now). Virgin Island Bay Rum is my favourite cold season one though.
Chris Cartwright have tried Bootleggers Bay Rum? It's equal parts VIBR, Master Bay Rum, and Superior 70 Bay. I blended some up and put it in hot sauce bottles that I purchased on ebay. The Master adds some great skin feel, the Superior 70 kicks the bay up a notch, and the blend mellows the spice notes of the VIBR but it still has good lasting scent. It's one of my favorite bay rum aftershaves.
@@RA-lh9uh - I'd say it lasts pretty long. It depends how much you put on. It may seem like it wears off quickly, but you're probably just getting used to the scent.
Great review. My only complaint is the scent doesn't last long. I'd love to see them come out with an EDT to match these, especially the Gin and Brandy!
Awesome video, you have a way with describing the scents, notes that makes me want to buy the product asap! Which I am, I already ordered the clubmans special reserve, now I want these all thanks to you. Fantastic
I have been using and collecting Pinaud Clubman for years. I just recently bought the Whiskey Woods aftershave. It’s a bit too strong for my taste, also dries the skin a bit too much. It isn’t bad. My all time favorite is probably Lilac Vegetal. Other than Pinaud, Florida Water is incredible.
Thank you Sir! I just saw these on a website and searched them. Perfect review. I will go for the Whiskey Woods and after i will get the Gin one. Cheers!
I love all of them except the brandy spice and Gents Gin are too mellow, though they smell good. However they only last a few seconds.. The whisky woods last longer and is very suave. Brandy Spice smells like Apple juice with nice pipe tobacco..
Great review Jim. Whiskey is the American spelling - American Bourbon. Whisky is the stuff we have in Scotland. What everyone else calls Scotch...hic 😵
Kevy Shaves exactly! I'm an amateur whiskey hobbyist, I like my scotch and bourbon, so I immediately noticed the misspelling. This aftershave definitely has a bourbon scent to it, not scotch.
Whiskey Woods is missing something. I don't hate it, but if I could use music analogies....it's like all bass with no treble. It needs a thin line of something tart or spiky at the top end. Lol, obviously I don't know how to describe it. Much prefer Clubman original. I'm going to try their citrus based scents, probably more to my liking.
@@diverbelow27 Oh yes, I have it and love it! And the lime sec has gotten heavy use too. It's great as a splash after washing up. And it's gone quick so it doesn't interfere with cologne. Great stuff.
I have only tried the Brandy Spice and my answer is "kind of ". First time I wore it I was afraid that someone at the office could think I drank a glass of Brandy before 8 am, now I like it and I don't give a sh1t.

Chris Cartwright the Gents Gin is my favorite in the summer as well, a great clean scent.

Thought the bay rhum Pinaud was for summer ? Is it too strong then ?
I love the classic scents. I'm 52 .
Gents Gin is my fave.
I really love Whiskey Woods aftershave. I'm using it right now during the colder months. I'm really curious to try the Gents Gin once it warms up.
how long does it last? i have a feeling the scent is gone in about 15min

What’s your updated thoughts on using special reserve?

Try the Gents Gin then, it's a bit more mild
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thank you very much for the heads up. I had no idea they had anything new. Thumbs up.
Same bottle style as their Lilac Veg. I'm excited to try them! I don't think Pinaud has come out with anything new like this in decades..
Mason Jar I haven't tried the Pinaud lilac veg, I have the Master Well Comb version.
You’re missing out. The Veg rocks. Apply heavy and give it 10 minutes. My favorite. Thx for the review.
Great video, Jim!! Thanks for doing this.

Fantastic review. I got to get me some!
Nice reviews.

Which is the 1st, 2nd &3rd best?
Great review! My interest has been piqued :)
Any other Clubmans you’d recommend?

Good review , but what wetshaver gets excited about plastic aftershave bottles with bad caps
I got excited
Don't be a snob. Just enjoy them. If they came in niche looking bottles they would sell high end.
Clubman is all I use but I decant them into glass bottles. I have Bay Rum, Vanilla, Classic, Lime and Lilac Vegetal all on tap.
maybe "Whiskey Woods" is the name of the aftershave, while the use of "whisky" is per the description?
I like it after shave whiskey woods, perfect smells
I'm sold. Where did you buy them?
Thanks Jim, great video.
As a side note, the spelling of whiskey without the "E" is definitively Scottish. With the "E" is American. It's not a typo..
they came out with more in the same line check out the clubman website
Would you say gents gin is a bit like brut?
I don't get that, to my nose it smells like a gin & tonic with a twist of lime.
Thank you!
Frugal Shave Shave Nation!
It was practically the first thing I said in the video! 😄
James Judy 3 I jumped the gun
David Gilmour? from Pink Floyd?

The citrus musk is really good if you like fresh splash

People actually care about the season they wear aftershave in?
Some people take frags very seriously, they have everything broken up into seasons.
Hell, my only requirement for wearing something I like is if I'm dead or alive. lol
Well when you are in texas with 115 degree , believe me you care that it is not overpowering. Light scent fits better during the day
Yes.
So they make you smell like a drunkard?
Not any more than a classic bay rum would
