FILM DESCRIPTION:
Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

The flashback of Apollo was so well used
Agreed
@@FiveNightsGamerZ RIP
Rip
That was a perfect shot of Apollo giving him his strength
It’s almost like a ghost. It’s kind of blurry you can only see really him standing in the ring ready to go.
"im not a mistake" has a double meaning in this context; not only that Adonis was Apollo's illegitimate child, but also in the look Rocky shoots him; he knows what it feels like better than anyone, that desire to prove you werent a fluke that the champ fished out of a hat, that you could go the distance when given the chance.
Triple meta meaning: That the Creed movie itself is worthy of being a spinoff franchise. That the film itself is "not a mistake"
“Cause you’re a Creed and I love ya, kid.”
That one got me right in the feels
@user-wg2ox4dh1fNIV is corrupt. KJV is the closest thing to the source material smh.
“And so does Mickey.”
Has his daddy heart get up
The sound cutting out showing creed was out and only hearing the flashes ending with the vision of his father that awakened and possessed him with that deep, sudden, distorted inhale and powerful get up... absolute pinnacle of cinema
Rest in power Apollo. There is no tomorrow 🐐🥲🫡
@user-wg2ox4dh1fI'm pretty sure uzi vert isn't in the bible
There is no tomorrow!
The part where stitch tells donny how many fingers are there with the tap on his neck is so underrated and ignored.

i've seen that scene many times, and this is the first time i realized it wasn't rocky doing it.
Seeing Apollo flash on screen was heartwarming
The spirit of Apollo was with Adonis
Apollo giving him his strength to get back up...pure chills and tears RIP Carl Weathers
One of the greatest scenes of all time
,,I Gotta Prove It, prove what, I am not a mistake"
@user-wg2ox4dh1f what?
When Balboa says " cause you're a Creed and I love you kid " I have goosebumps
The scene with Apollo before hurt but after Carl Weathers passing away, it's just painful. Rest in Power, he has always been the best.
Needed to watch this scene again after hearing about Carl earlier. A true legend that will be missed ❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
🐐🫡
did anyone notice that at 2:10 when the doctor was testing Adonis's vision, the guy who's "iceing" his eye was tapping on his neck to tell him how many fingers were being held up?
Nice catch!!
Pibe literalmente cambian de plano y te muestran la mano con la camara de cerca pa que se note que no adivina y que le toca pa que diga el numero, no descubriste un easter egg escondido durante años hasta que llego tu iluminado cerebro para hacernos dar cuenta
thats the whole point of the scene 🤦♂
@@EfraPlay3why are you so pressed lol, it’s a movie scene 💀
I loved that part but no one really pointed out or thanked him cause he saved the match
1:04 man it gets me everytime. It’s his father being part of him despite how Donny feels about him he will always be part of him. That’s his blood man and he’s there to give him his strength when he needs it.
One of the best lines I ever heard in a movie.
I feel like this part of the movie changed how Rocky looked at Adonis. In that moment Rocky see’s himself in Adonis. It’s like a callback to Rocky 1 where Rocky’s saying he just wanted to prove that he could go the distance with Apollo and prove he wasn’t just another bum from the neighborhood. And it’s also the build up of the whole movie leads to this moment where we finally see who Adonis is at his core and how he views himself in the world.
RIP Carl Weathers
Now that s how you respect a legacy of an iconic franchise,Disney.
It's not life if you aren't living... Test your limits face your fears and be something your daughter and family are proud of.. everything else doesn't matter
RIP Apollo. Keep Punching the Master of Disaster.
That I gotta prove it that I’m not a mistake line hit different
Apollo did his thing Creed forever 💯
If u don’t cry after that…. Well then ur not human
That flashback of Apollo made me choke up, almost teary eyed.
Sly brought that big beardo Graham McTavish along from “Rambo 4.”
0:00 Max Kellerman: The champ is in bad shape, Jim.
Jim Lampley: Creed realized he has a better chance of hurting Conlan to the body and to the head.
Adonis didn’t hear no bell!
One last ride lets gooo
Such a powerful and heartbreaking moment ("I'm not a mistake") followed by Rocky's response. It's scenes like this and one or two from Creed II that make it so incongruous that Rocky didn't appear in Creed III and -- far as I can tell -- is barely mentioned, if at all. Doesn't make any sense. Creed III was a fine film, but Rock's absence remains a serious drawback.
Creed 3 was terrible. Apparently it had to do with whoever owns the rights to the Rocky films didn’t want to give Stallone the ownership back. So that’s why Stallone refused to appear. I hated it it was so boring. There was more scenes of family and scenes with his daughter but barely any workout scenes. The final training sequence is like 30 seconds long.
2:35 - 2:40
Intense scene!
Look at bro’s eye 💀
I mean, I’m no boxing expert, but is that really common for boxers’ faces to look like that?
@@SolCresta3405 I believe it is because the more rounds the boxer can keep going on, the more damage can happen to the body and face.
@@taajwarpope2708 I see… It happened to Rocky too.
@@SolCresta3405 Yep.
Bet ur 12💀
Adonis: I can’t see nothing Rock I gotta open my Eye……Cut me Rock, cut me, come on cut me.
Powerful scene
I’m glad they did the creed series right paid homage to the originals
1:06 GET UP SON
It's hard to explain and becomes frustrating because ppl live in a world where there completely BLIND time to wake up ppl whatever world you live in doesn't exist come back to reality
Love this flick 😍 ❤️
I love this movie but to this day it drives me crazy seeing what an absolute dough boy the conlin character is. Like my guy looks like some guy off the street that fights people in the back of a Buffalo Wild Wings.
2:36
Well damn.
damn
Apollo
Tony b champ
🇺🇸🥊🥊 vs 🇬🇧 🥊🥊
What's up SAM I meant SAMANTHA same $$$$ lol
Welcome to the jungle
I wish he had got as big as his father to at least show commitment to the role even though of course that's not his father because there is no way he could act in a movie like predator one LOL
Shut up
This movie didn’t really satisfy me as a upcoming pro boxer creed is just a selfish jackass honestly this movie formers 1/10 Creed is just not as strong as Balboa he got dropped 2 times when Rocky only went down for real once this movie is just a scrapped version of Apollo creed
Balboa is so good I love that scene where he’s like “Ive still got some stuff in the basement”. And if you noticed, every single character goes from thinking Rocky is insane for wanting to come back to rooting for him to win.
If you’re a real fighter all this is BS. You’re not thinking about all this extra stuff. You’re only focused on surviving.
Hi there Jay - former amateur boxer here who has competed for his country and won several titles at national level. I’ve been in some rough spots in fights and sparring, and the question of ‘why am I here?’ has definitely gone through my mind. Not too dissimilar to Creed, I took strength from past experiences to push myself through and turn things around. It’s not that uncommon.
👍🏼
Only animals focus on surviving, this is much deeper than that.
You'll never see me again kooooogs
