    That’s crazy, the company i work for had me do a design for packaging for those vitrazza chair mats. they even sent us some to do drop testing. all i can say from experience with them is that they are very good quality. there’s only 8 pieces of foam protecting that tempered glass from a 4 foot drop. not a single crack in it. very awesome mats.

    Thanks a lot, was looking for a glass mat for a reasonable price.
    I gave up for a while because of the huge prices I saw, till now.

    Again, great review. I bought a cushioned mat. I may get the glass as it is easier to roll on glass than on hardwood floors.

      Glass is definitely better than the hardwood, especially if its textured.

    Thank you for an interesting review which I found after buying IKEA's chair mat . This mat is smooth on one side and somewhat rough on the other side. As I don't want to spoil my linoleum floor I intend to put a lint-free carpet between the floor surface and the surface of the chair mat. Which side of the chair mat should be in contact with the carpet in your opinion? I would greatly appreciate your recommendations

      Irenic, I’m not familiar with the IKEA chair mat. Instructions should indicate what side is better for placement on the carpet.

      As for the desk - it is an Uplift 4 Leg desk in 80”. I will post a quick review about it, as soon as I have the time to edit the footage.
      It’s a great desk. A bit pricy but well worth it. Now I spend most of my time standing, while working.

      Plywood sounds like a great alternative. It acts similar to glass, by bending with the material underneath. The only problem I foresee is the sound. How loud is it when you roll on it?

      @@Outlaw_SEO bro I get hella lucky. I found someone selling the largest size Lorell one from 80 bucks on FB marketplace because it didn't fit her desk. Snatched that shit up so fast

  • @notlandyn7677

    Something I am concerned about after looking at these same options is the quality of the temper of the cheaper mats. There are 6 or 7 reviews of the lorell saying it broke. I wish there was a way to know if they were damaged during shipping or installation/moving.
    That being said, I believe they will replace it for free I just don't want to have to clean all that glass out of my carpet and maybe my/my pets feet.
    I think for the price though it might be worth the risk 😬

      The company i work for had me do a design for packaging and drop testing for vitrazza. From experience those mats are very very durable and can withstand a lot. from a 4 foot drop it withstands 58.81Gs from a corner drop test. I’d go with these.

      @@ZyneNull wouldn't the hardness, size and weight of the dropped item make the variance in this type of test huge?
      Have you tested other glass floor mats?

    • @ZyneNull

      @@notlandyn7677 as with all yes. sorry i should’ve been specific. i drop tested their 48x46 one and it passed flawlessly. their other ones i forget their dimensions but they passed aswell. only real differences is as you said. depending on the weight and size does make a huge factor but when designing these i just made the foam thicker and longer for all mats. all that mattered was that they were protected and got to their destination.

    My advise - work with your local glass shop. Vitrazza's largest square one is 60"X60" for - $675.00 + delivery. I got a 72"X72" made locally, 1/4" thick, tempered glass, rounded corners and polished edges, including delivery for $411.00. One that big from Vitrazza would have been well over $800.00, + delivery!

    • @Outlaw_SEO
      @Outlaw_SEO  3 роки тому

      Randy, that’s why I recommend the LORELL glass, that is around $140. It sounds like a much cheaper option than the local glass shop.

    • @FREEDOM-qb8db
      @FREEDOM-qb8db 3 роки тому

      @@Outlaw_SEO Not necessarily, not if you actually compare apples to apples. The LORELL is 48x60. Mine is 72x72. The cost of the LORELL per square inch is .05 and the cost of mine was .08. IF I could have gotten a custom LORELL @ 72x72 @ a cost of .05 per square inch it would have been $259 + their delivery charge since it wasn't coming from Amazon. Furthermore, the LORELL 48x60 is a standard size, I think it is safe to assume IF they would make a custom size of 72x72, the cost would be much higher than .05 per square inch. I looked at LORELL at the time and couldn't see where they would accommodate my need of 72x72.
