    Great review. Any word on where to buy that Anti-skid mat ? Think I need one for mine. The mat doesn't move a ton, but, it does tend to shift on my carpet.

      Hey Matthew, thanks for watching and for your question. I bought my anti-skid from Walmart. Look for material that is spongy, I have had better luck with those then the matting that tends to be more flat and less spongy.

    Thanks for the review! Few questions - is it safe to roll off the mat while seated (i.e. a portion of the seat is on the mat and on the carpet)? Also, do I need to be worried about bouncing on my chair? Mainly worried about it cracking / shattering.

      Hello Kevin. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment and submit your questions. Because of how my chair mat is placed under my desk, which is on carpet, I roll off of my mat frequently without issues. With regard to bouncing on your chair, I could not find any information regarding the matter. It is tempered glass and is pretty tough. The only instance I could find in my research where a mat shattered involved dropping a sharp, heavy, precision tool on it. The effect was the same as striking a tempered glass windshield or window in a vehicle with a glass breaker for an emergency exit. The glass shattered but remained intact and safe to the user. I hope this helps.

    Got one of these mats about one month ago . Added 1 ream of copy paper and qualified for free shipping and saved a bundle.
    Just wondering, can either side be used ? Also can you provide info regarding the anti-skid rug.

      Greetings RLK. Thank you for the add on product tip to eliminate the shipping cost. If you have the Lorell Tempered Glass Chair Mat you should be fine using either side. For the anti-skid matting, we used anti-skid recommended for throw rugs. I have found that some are thicker and have a spongier texture than others, and we have had the best luck with these. Thank you for watching.

    Do you find that the chair slides around too easily on the mat?

    • @mattseclecticreviews3614
      @mattseclecticreviews3614  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you Kalon for taking the time to watch our video and comment. Our chair wheels have a slight tackiness to them which helps them grip the glass and track true, but I would imagine the hard plastic wheels would slide too easily, including against the intended direction of travel.

      @@mattseclecticreviews3614 thanks! I ended up buying one. My wheels are hard plastic so I'll see how slippery it ends up being.

      @@mattseclecticreviews3614 So it actually just arrived an hour ago, and it's alright. It does slide pretty easily, but I'm not moving around too much to cause it to slide off the mat. I mainly got this to make my chair sit more level because my casters already made a dent in the carpet (there's a cushion underneath). It's much more level now, though not perfect, but that's not the fault of the glass mat haha.

    What if you drop something on it, won't it shatter? Coffee mugs an iphone's come to mind.

    • @mattseclecticreviews3614
      @mattseclecticreviews3614  3 роки тому

      Thank you depellerinluc for your question. The chair mats are quite tough and should withstand having the items you mentioned, or their equivalent dropped on them. They are at most risk of shattering from impact by a sharp point, like that used to shatter vehicle glass when escape is necessary. I could only find one instance of a chair mat shattering, and the condition that precipitated it met the conditions noted above.
