But most pundits had this fight draw.

I know ODLH is a legendary fighter, but got damn was he fast in his younger years. I never really watched him during his earlier years, 1st fight i saw was against JCC which was your prototype for the "Passing of the Torch" ceremony between fighters. Knew he was very very talented, but am amazed at his hand speed.
He was really fast up to like 2001. Even how he bounces off his toes. Its crazy how different he looks here compared to when he fought Mosley 2 in 2003. Slower hands and flat footed. He probably shoulda retired after that fight.

I never really watched him during his earlier years, 1st fight i saw was against JCC which was your prototype for the "Passing of the Torch" ceremony between fighters. Knew he was very very talented, but am amazed at his hand speed.
He was really fast up to like 2001. Even how he bounces off his toes. Its crazy how different he looks here compared to when he fought Mosley 2 in 2003. Slower hands and flat footed. He probably shoulda retired after that fight.

The fight should have been stopped in the 12th. Great fight. Oscar is one of my favorites. Never ducked anyone. Underrated skills. Tremendous left hook and a great jab. Head movement was underrated. One of the great chins of his generation. Great fighter.

Quartey was a very good fighter, man.. held the WBA title for 4 years. That era was the last golden era of boxing IMO. Dude fought Oscar, Vargas, Verno Phillips, Vernon Forrest, Winky Wriight. There were assassins everywhere in those divisions at that time. Today, he'd be getting ducked into oblivion. No one would ever want to fight him.

Oscar de La Hoya was one of the greatest boxers that ever stood in a ring. He was a classic fighter. He had great speed and a devastating left hand. Great we have the ability to see so many classic fights on UA-cam.
