Range Rovers are AMAZING cars. They look great, drive smooth, and outdo the Mercedes GL/ML class as well as the BMW X5. However, the car is still a piece of shit. I bought my 2008 Range Rover Supercharged (white on two toned white/nappa black) with only 46k miles on it for 44k. I thought the deal was good, low miles, interior looked like over took care of it, and it had a service history. Boy was I WRONG!! The car after 2 months of owning it cost me 3,500$ in repairs. 2 more months later, the cars electrical system would fail, oil was leaking inside parts of the car, and there was a radiator problem. The dealer had no idea what it could be so to do an in-debt inspection cost me a fortune. The repairs (minus the inspection costs) cost me 7000$ to make the car run like new again. Holding my rage and furry inside me, I said to myself (the car is essentially brand new, it will run good for another 40-50k miles). 8 months later, the car did the same shit, oil started leaking everywhere again, coolant tubes where wearing out, and all the bands/rubber was breaking in the car, dealer said all the costs would total up to 5,500$-6,000$. I did not fix it as I had enough, After 5 months of driving it with all the issues, I finally put it down for a 2005 Mercedes G55 AMG with 112k miles on it. The mercedes has yet to bring up a major problem after me owning it for a year and a half now. Don't buy these cars

Chthonian121 Seems British make top luxury, but faulty engineering. German and Japanese engineering probably the best, but German cars have mechanical errors too and Japanese rides lately are boring. I can't decide, I refuse to pay thousands in repairs repeatedly and can't enjoy my new toy.

If you don't mind me asking ur height and weight I'd like to know. This is a concern for me being 6'3 and about 280.

Al B im also 6'3 and im about 179 pounds. but, if you have been in a f250 (pick up truck) the amount of space you have is amazing, the RR was just too enclosed for me, it could be different for you, i say test drive one see how you like it

+me2456 It's weird to think you'd be tight in it. I own a bmw z3 and a Dodge Avenger and I can fit in those pretty well. I'm definitely going to test drive one soon

Respectfully, in order to sell luxury to qualified buyers, you must look the part.

I truly respect your opinion III however some of the wealthiest human beings live in shorts and flip flops. Being treated and spoken to with respect combined with expert product knowledge are all important.
I’m not surprised by your comment, in fact many individuals superficially evaluate others and categorize them by their appearance. Your philosophy (although I disagree) is widely accepted and that’s proven when you look at hotel staff attire at an upscale place. They’re all wearing suits. Maybe this guy reviewing owns the dealership and is more interested in comfort than impressing people.
Have you ever heard of the story about the guy that walked into a Bentley dealership in Houston Texas wearing cargo shorts and a T-shirt? He was disregarded by most of the sales staff until a lady who was already closing a deal with a previous client noticed him being neglected but showing interest nonetheless. She approached him apologizing about the wait and proceeded to offer him top notch service. The casually dressed gentleman was a bit upset but eventually resumed his initial interest and went on to purchase 3 Bentleys cash on the spot.
Here’s the kicker... the next day he purchased the entire dealership, fired everyone except the lady who approached him the previous day and promoted her to GM.
This is a true story... the individual’s Family owns Landrys Restaurant group and The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
Never ever judge a book by its cover Sir.
Landry’s new headquarters is the new 10 story building built next door to that Bentley dealership in Uptown Park of Houston Texas and this gentleman and I watch basketball games together from our adjacent court-side seats at a stadium that he donated 20 million to build.
Thank You for your comment... I appreciate you taking the time to allow me to share this inspirational story about a little lesson in life that involves how successful people dress and being respectful of others despite their outward appearance.

Range Rovers are junk. My parents have been driving them since I was a baby. Now the want to buy a 2015 rover it's crazy. They brake down all the time.
