Anita! YOU ARE FANTASTIC! So dang glad I clicked on your page!! I believe you ARE the first person to share these bag tips (oops, sorry for the intended pun!) U opened me up to using tipless bags as well as how to use properly and then some! You are a natural! Would love to see you have your own baking show! Instant Follower here!
You’re a genius!! Thank you so much for sharing! I’m still using tips and had hair pulling moment today! Sat down to research a better way and I came across your life changing video! Btw , On husbands UA-cam !! Haha thank you a million! -Becca
I am a newcomer to cookie decorating and currently have been researching icing tips. I love this video and I thought you were so funny and clever. I appreciated the information so much. Thank you! keep being you!
This was a GREAT lesson/demo!! I'm just getting started so your video was EXTREMELY helpful!! Your instruction style, your video editing/creativity AND your GREAT sense of humor make for a cookie jackpot!! So glad I found your site!! Thanks for sharing your gifts!!
OMG! I wish I had some of those tipless bags a couple of weeks ago. It would have saved me so much clean up time not including buying 10 more TIPS!! Thank you for your video and TIPS! LOL! Now a subscriber! Hope you are having a Sweet Day!
WOW! First I was going to say how funny you are, and then thank you for the "tips". But...then I saw your notice at the end about ALS. My husband and I just went to the funeral today of his best friend Tom, who died of ALS. Ironically, we came home and I had everything set up to make St. Patty's Day cookies as a distraction for him, and I used tioless bags for the 1st time. I wasn't sure if I had used them right, so I came on here to look up advice, and happened upon your video 1st. KISMET, I think so. 😉 Thanks so much!!! ❤
Thank you so much. This is very helpful. I've watched countless cookie videos because I want to try this. Bought all kind of stuff that I now see I don't need. 😁. Wish we could sit together and you'd show me how to do this right. ❤ greetings from Bavaria and Happy Advent
I have learned so much from you!! Thank you so much for taking the time to create so many informative videos that are so fun to watch!! You're hilarious!
OMG!!! You are absolutely GREAT!! In just 2 or 3 of your videos that I have just seen; I have learned TONS. I am only a few minutes away from ordering my Pico Pocket Projector and those great bags you've shown. Thank you soo much for all the info you have shared with us. By the way, you are soo funny. LOL
You are so damn funny and you crack me up!!! I had more fun and learned so much from watching just two of your videos than I have from watching 10 of these other extremely talented cookie artists! I just wish I knew the tipless way to decorate before I started this whole venture. You have one more fan and I can't wait to check out your site! Thank You for sharing your humorous wisdom...
Beth Anne Richardson Thank you Beth Anne! There are so many incredible cookie decorators out there doing such ridiculously awesome work it's just nice to be in their company. I do all the goofy stuff and leave the fancy schmanzy decorating to them :)
I'm curious... Do you have a favorite sugar cookie and Royal icing recipe that you would be willing to share with us? I have tried so many different ones and yet have not found that perfect cookie and icing recipe. I started making cookies as a form of physical therapy. (3 yrs ago I had a life changing surgery allowing me to walk once again. I was bedridden for nearly 8 years.). So now I bake and donate what I make to charity events. Lots of places have bake sales to raise $$ for some family in need or a Charitable Event raising $$ for their cause, and I love that idea of baking to help others. So the more I learn, the better I get.
Great hacks! Thanks for sharing. I'm wanting to order tipless bags for the first time. Would you please post a link to your favorites? Thank you so much!
Very useful video. Thank you for sharing this pro wisdom. Just one question, you first outlined all the cookies and then later flooded them? In that case, didn't the outline in the mean time dried up for a smooth finish? I'm a beginner hope my qs is relevant🙈
I will definitely be ordering tipless bags from your Etsy store. This last batch of “master” bags has waaaaay too much edge..very disappointed. I’ll be putting those to use in other ways. I love your videos....I wish you’d post decorating videos just for my viewing pleasure...lol 💞
mind ....blown 💥 I ordered those titles bags and I'm guessing mine is a bad batch because they all have obnoxious seams. I'll try another order. I really want to try the one tip method!!!
I love your video, but I do have 1 question. At 6:16 you mention you cut the tipless bag to the size of a #3. How did you go about this and getting it to that exact size? I'm imagining looking at the bag, looking at at tip, cutting and hoping I get it the right size?
Ack! I'm just seeing these comments now! My apologies! So, I use to purchase all my tipless bags from China via e-bay. If you search e-bay for "tipless pastry bags" you should end up with a number of sellers and the bags are typically marked "Masters" in red or orange writing. Just be sure when ordering that you find a seller with free shipping and expect to wait a couple weeks to a month to get them (which is much less time than it took me to reply to this question!!!) HOWEVER, I now purchase all my tipless bags from trulymadplastics.com. They're a great mom and pop company with excellent customer service. And no, I'm not on their payroll...nice thought though :)
I typically get mine from Truly Mad Plastics (you can search them on Google), but if you need super fast A,Avon delivery I’d probably go with these... www.amazon.com/COOKIECUTTERKINGDOM-Tipless-Professional-Thickness-Decorating/dp/B00QA87JJ6/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1GD6GR110GMHE&keywords=tipless+pastry+bags+disposable&qid=1562463998&s=gateway&sprefix=Tipless+pastry%2Caps%2C212&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1. All tipless bags are essentially the same. The difference being that some are just made better than others but whatever the label on them chances are they came from one of several factories in China. The link I provided are for ones that appear to be slightly thicker than the ones labeled “Masters” which is good because the super thin ones can burst with too much pressure.
Jean P In Mt There are actually two kinds of bags that are only different based on their thickness. Wilton bags and other brands you might find in baking shops are typically thicker and meant to be used with a tip. In fact, they don’t work without them. The tipless bags can be found either through EBay, which are usually branded under the name MASTER and can be found from a name of Chinese sellers or through online vendors located in the states such as Truly Mad Plastics. Those are the bags I’m demonstrating in the video and are the thickness of a thin sandwich bag.
The bags from Truly are not as thin and pliable as the ones in this video. THESE exact bags are what I want - pebbled finish and extra thin. Is Masters the brand name or does that just mean "professional?" I bought 100 bags from Svebake and the first few times I either did Buttercream or used tips. Yesterday I went to go tipless and discovered the top 1/4" of the tip was HEAT SEALED. So I had to cut a HUGE hole and even then it came out crooked. I'm pretty annoyed. Everything else I have is stiff. So now I'll have THREE styles sitting here and maybe wait a month just so I can go without tips. (Ziploc bags don't work for me - I have arthritis and the seams are too clumsy to deal with.) Thanks for any extra info you can provide about those eBay sellers…
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I’m still trying to get in step with following UA-cam comments. I wish I could give you more information but when I first discovered tipless bags about four years ago I bought several thousand bags from a handful of ebay sellers because I prefer the largest bags (about 17 inches on the longest edge) and they were harder to find. The bags I’m currently using were from that buying spree and there are no markings on the piping bags themselves or on the exterior bag holding them. Unfortunately, I can only view my ebay order history for the past three years.
+Baking Sweet Hope - I appreciate you getting back to me. Svebake replaced the defective bags so that was good and I had the Truly bags. Montreal posted a link to the Masters bags (which I can see are more pliable) on Amazon but I think they were 15" not 17". If you want I'll go back and find that link but you were smart to buy thousands. At my pace it would be tough to go through that but only because I'm too lazy to mix color and consistency of 20 Icings per project, lol.
Thank you for all of the “tips”! I learned a lot. I have a cookier T-shirt line which has a “tipless” slogan. It’s super cute. If you’re interested, you can go to my Instagram page to find the link. @cattail_confections 😻
I LIKED WATCHING And LEARNING SOMETHING NEW, BUT I LIKE IT BETTER WHEN YOU TALK AND EXPLAIN. IT WAS HARD TO WATCH AND THEN TRY TO READ THE WHITE WRITING ON A WHITE BACKGROUND SO I CONSISTENTLY HAD TO GO BACK AND FORTH. sorry.

That was great! I hate cleaning tips even when I use buttercream for decorating cakes....
It was wondefull. I love it
Thanks you solved the mystery for me correcting the way to cut tip of bag that seam was problematic.
It’s crazy that it makes a difference how you cut the tip but it does!
you. are. brilliant!
Thank you. I hate cleaning tips. Dreaded chore! This is a wonderful solution.
Haha you are too darn cute ♥️ thank you for sharing

Wow... Thank you so much!!
Thank you! I have been struggling with piping so much I'm about to give up! Maybe tipless is the way to go..
Katie Past There’s a bit of a learning curve but it totally changed the game for me!
Such a great video! You’re a mess .... in a good way! (It’s a compliment in the South)
I love your video, but I do have 1 question. At 6:16 you mention you cut the tipless bag to the size of a #3. How did you go about this and getting it to that exact size? I'm imagining looking at the bag, looking at at tip, cutting and hoping I get it the right size?

Great video and awesome advice; however I missed so much of it because it was too difficult to read white lettering on a light background! 😥
How do you store in fridge like that? What about the opening tip, won’t air get inside?
Love this! So when you started decorating, did you just stick the color back into the tipped bag?
Do you have to specifically buy tieless bags for this? Or can I use the hundreds of regular piping bags I have?
What bag do you use? Where do you buy it from. BTW you are a hoot! ❤️ ur videos!
Did we find out which bags she used?

How you attach nozzle in this kind of bags?
If I order the bags off of amazon what am I looking for? I’m really getting tired of tips and I have a few orders coming up!
