Oh guys... Great job! This app means that you did spend a lot of time developing it. I've never seen something like this before. Keep up!
Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words, we'll share this with our whole team, this is really motivating! Let us know if there's anything we can help you with down the road! ❤️🙌
make the app free or cheaper at least ;)
I love this app I learned für Elise and I'm an beginner but I can't afford premium because I'm 13
That's great that you were able to learn Für Elise! Sorry to hear that you can't afford Premium. Did you know that we offer gift vouchers? Maybe you can ask your parents for one for your next birthday! 😊

sameeeee :(
I have a paid version since October 2020
I've completed all the courses I could on a keyboard and then I've learnt a song by Yann Tiersen in the advance songs section. Now I got a Kawai ES110 as I was loving the progress I was making and wanted to explore more notes and have a better sound quality.
Different schools of piano teachers say it's really a wrong method to use any app such as flowkey which technically though has notations and measures but still makes you copy the movement of hands shown above and therefore just a copy paste method and nothing else. However I somehow personally beg to differ and I really don't know why I do so. Im not that great at music theory, I know to read the notations but counting the right beats at the right metronome speed is something flowkey doesn't offer. It has its own 50%, 75% tempo and the distortion too at the different tempo which eventually tells you to decide the tempo on which you as an individual would like to play it. I'm currently learning the happy bday song in the advance mode. Wish me luck. Thank you flowkey. If people have some opinions on it. Do let me know. It would be of great help
This is an incredible program, I love it a lot.
Thanks for the compliment!
love you Flowkey!
Awww! Thanks! 😊😊😊
New subscriber and absolute beginner . Having great fun learning and playing . Keep being drawn back to the keyboard
That's wonderful! I hope you'll enjoy your piano learning journey. :)
I'm living in Russia where it seems almost everyone has some musical experience and piano is very popular
Your app is amazing! I'm an advanced person but it's hard to play with both hands for me. When I downloaded the app, I learned instantly! This app is great for beginners and maybe I'll even get premium eventually.
Thank you so much for the wonderful compliment! It's always great to hear that we were part of someones special piano journey 🎹
Plus I have bought the subscription
I learned perfect
@@vern0018 no I have been practicing piano for more than a year now I know the notes
I mean you can do it without the notes but the notes might help a little bit
I love this app but I don't have a piano which have a connector . But I was helpful . Thanks
Happy to hear that you found the video helpful. And even without a MIDI connection, you can use our app. :)
So ... I've just got a Roland FA-07 and am trying to see how I could learn to play the keyboard / piano. Was thinking about Flowkey, but sadly the FA doesn't have speakers, and not sure how MIDO would work with an iPad :-(
When you want to use flowkey on your iPad with a MIDI keyboard, we recommend having GarageBand run in the background so that you can hear what you play. You can also use the app "iGrand Piano" if GarageBand isn't an option for you.
This is how it works:
1.) Connect your keyboard to your iPad via MIDI to USB cable and a Camera Connection Kit
2.) Open GarageBand and select “Keyboard”
3.) Click on the wrench icon in the upper right-hand corner
4.) A window with different options will open; please click on “Advanced”
5.) Select “Run in Background” to allow GarageBand to run in the background when using other apps
6.) Press on the home button to leave GarageBand; a small red bar will appear at the top of the screen with the word “GarageBand” flashing - this way you know it’s still running
7.) Now open flowkey and start practicing
"iGrand Piano" can also be selected to run in the background.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch again! (best to reach our support team is via support@flowkey.com)
I need help when we try to subscribe the premium version it says unavailable can u help I want premium but I can't get it it just says unavailable when I try to get premium
Thanks a lot for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you have trouble getting the premium version. Our support team can definitely help with that. Please get in touch with them via our in-app messenger. Just open any song and then click on the cogwheel icon in the upper right-hand corner. There, click on "Support & Feedback" to get in touch with them. Thanks a lot!
@@flowkey_DE luckily I have premium now 😀😀
Can I load up my own songs (sheet music) ?
Aplicativo fantástico. Único problema que eu acho é não poder imprimir as partituras para desenvolver velocidade fora do aplicativo.
Question: so often I have to reach out to my laptop which I have on tablet mode, to tap on "PLAY." Is there one of the keys on the piano/keyboard that will do this? It is getting to be a drag....:) In a competing app Skoove, it is the first black key at the left end of the keyboard, I believe...
Hi Raja! Thanks for your feedback. And yes, we know that doing our courses still requires quite some "clicking". We're currently working on reducing the clicks to an absolute minimum. So I am sure, you'll be much more "in the flow" when practicing with us in the future.
What is the difference between orange and blue notes???? Some are orange, some are blue. thanks
Interesting. Considering.
Hi ek het nie 'n elektroniese klafier nie is nog 'n ou kla klafier so hoe moet ek dan maak om te speel asb
i have a question. I just got premium and I have problems using flowkey over computer, so I mentioned using my smartphone, but i guess a tablet with bigger screen is better. Which specifications are recommended? Or is it so, that every tablet is working with flowkey (over MIDI cable)
Thanks for reaching out. Our app can be used on many devices (on laptop/PC it works best with the Google Chrome browser - maybe worth a try in your case if you used a different browser before). As a rule of thumb: if you can download our app on your smartphone or tablet, it is compatible and MIDI can be used. I'd recommend at least Android 6 or higher (and your device needs to have a "usb to host" support. If your device is missing this, you won't be able to download our app). For further advice, you can also always contact our lovely support team: support@flowkey.com :)
Is there a way to create an account on the Flowkey app or check for an account? Because I paid for premium and want to add Flowkey to my laptop as well, but I can't seem to access my account on the mobile app.
Big Fan of Flowkey please help!!
Hi Sammy! Sure, we can help you with that. Your account information is always assigned to the email address (or login method e.g. Facebook login or Google login). So no matter if you are on a laptop, a tablet or smartphone, always use the same way to login. On a laptop, you can log in to the app on our website www.flowkey.com (login button is in the upper right-hand corner). On mobile devices, the mobile app needs to be installed (from App Store or Play Store). Hope this already helps.
You can also write our support team via email (support@flowkey.com) or in-app messenger. They can definitely help you further with finding your account.
flowkey - Learn piano thank you solved
can i conect flowkey to macbook air for my yamaha p125 ?
Hi there! Thanks for asking. And the answer is: Yes, you can. :) Here you find an easy-to-follow guide how you can connect your P125 to your MacBook. help.flowkey.com/piano-and-midi-setup/midi-setup/connect-your-pc-mac-via-midi
HOW do we troubleshoot? I'm connecting Yamaha PSR E473 to Samsung Galaxy Tab a7, I am using host out, to OTG, to tablet. first few minutes, I could hear audio from the app in my keyboard - and would pick up my played notes (ode to joy) but then it stopped working... couldn't hear audio, and would not recognize key presses... this is really frustrating, there's not troubleshooting
I happen to play für Elise before brahm’s lullaby
Oh, that's cool. :)
Can Flowkey play the left hand for you whilst you learn the right, for example?
Thanks for your question. It depends on which practice mode you used. When you're in the mode where the app listens to you, then, you only hear what you play. If you play along at 50% or 75% then you will always hear the two hands, played by the pianist (unless you mute your device 😁). Hope that already answers your question. 🙂
What is the cable called that connects the iPad to my Yamaha P125?
You need a USB A to USB B cable and a lightning to USB camera adapter for this connection. :)
Question: Is the Flow mode the only mode that gives you interactive feedback? Is there Any kind of interactive feedback available from 50% speed or 75% speed modes? 🤔
Hi Steve! When you connect a MIDI cable or use Bluetooth MIDI, the app will also give you feedback. You will then see a green check mark when you played the correct notes. This kind of feedback at 50% and 75% is only available with a MIDI connection though.
@@flowkey_DE Just downloaded and app and ready to try it! Can I connect a Yamaha Arius 141 to and iPad via MIDI?
@@marhai04 you have midi out and you can. Just use a proper USB cable. You have it described in your manual.
Flowkey gets the notes correctly but it can't get some bass notes and I can't continue practicing in the "wait mode". Even if I turn the volume of my piano to louder. What should I do?
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the note-detection. I'm sure, our support team can help you with this! Just open the app and click on the cogwheel icon that you find within a song. Then, click on "Support & Feedback" and my colleagues will be able to help. :)
I saw this app works on iphone or android. does this mean it would also work on a chromebook that can run android apps? I'm visually impaired and can't use tablets. Thank you.
Thank you for asking. You can learn on a laptop/computer without our Android app using our Web-App via the Google Chrome Browser. If you visit our website www.flowkey.com you can sign up with a flowkey account and will be directly forwarded to our web-app. We would love to help you with this! Please get in touch if you need any further help: support@flowkey.com ❤️
@@flowkey_DE Thank you. That's just what I did. I got a cheap midi keyboard at first to make sure I like it. I can't figure out how to get the web app to read the midi, BUT I was however able to get it to "hear" the keyboard using a line from the headphone jack on the keyboard to the line in on the pc. I live in an apt complex so not having an external mic was a must, and it makes it easier for me. Just went threw the free tutorial. Now I need to get the premium, but first I need a new chair. The tutorial showed me mine is way too low using the keyboard on my desk, and was making my wrist hurt. Thank you again.
@@whitepawrolls Great to hear that you already went through the free tutorial. To use MIDI, you either need a MIDI to USB A cable or a USB B to USB A cable. That depends on which ports you have on your instrument. Plug the USB A end into your computer and the other end in your MIDI keyboard. If you use the Chrome browser on your laptop, MIDI will be recognized automatically. Our lovely support team will also be happy to help you if you have further questions: support@flowkey.com
@@flowkey_DE Yea had the cable, and windows recognized the midi device, but the web app wouldn't.
@@whitepawrolls Sorry to hear that. Please get in touch with our support team. They will definitely be able to sort this out!
Tell me how to remove the video to just play the song without anything stopping like simply paino does the notes coming down the screen
Hi there, in our app the video is not removable and we do not offer an animation of the notes coming down the screen - maybe synthesia would be something for you?
This was good. The one bad thing about flowkey is about the premium. It takes up most of the courses and I’m only 11 so I’m definitely not allowed
Hi Dylan - we also offer flowkey gift-vouchers: www.flowkey.com/en/gift-voucher (Maybe that would be a goof pointer for your next birthday or Christmas?) Other than that we every then and when change our free song selection, so keep an eye out for new content!
I have a little piano and when i play the right note the app considers that i am playing another note any solutions ? I want to learn für Elise
Hi Serena! Sorry to hear that you have trouble with our app. Our lovely support team can definitely help you with this. So please get in touch with them via our in-app messenger or email. To open the messenger, just click on the settings icon in a song and then on "Support & Feedback". Thanks!
But how would this work if you have an acoustic piano?
Our app is tuned to standard pitch (440 Hz). So if your instrument is tuned to standard pitch, the note detection will work via the built-in microphone of you tablet.
I need the note letters beneath the staff OR the staff above the piano keys. That's how you would read music and play along. I mean, you wouldn't have the sheet music on your lap. At least offer an option for this as I cannot continue to use the program with this layout.
So far there is no option to change the layout of our learning mode but I will make sure to pass your suggestion on to the team in charge. :) And feel free to reach out to my colleagues from the support-team if you have any other questions.
How to I connect my piano to flowkey
You can find these information here in our help center: help.flowkey.com/en/collections/34718-piano-midi-setup
I just got a USB-A to Micro USB adapter, and hooked up my Galaxy Tab A to an M-Audio Keystation USB MIDI controller. The Galaxy did power the keyboard, and as I tried to play a piece on Flowkey, the program recognized my key input. However, there is NO SOUND when I play! I played with various sound settings, tried a Bluetooth speaker even, but no go! I tapped on Settings, Sound, Separate App Sound and added Flowkey. Still silence! Any advice, anyone? It is handy to use the Galaxy but if no solution I'll just keep using my Laptop.
Hi Raja! This sounds like something for our support team. Would be great if you write them an email to support@flowkey.com (or just use our in-app messenger in the flowkey app. Click on the cogwheel icon in the app and then on "support & feedback"). I'm sure our support team can help you!
did you every get a resolution? I'm having the same issue, with no searchable fix to find... I just got started, and now I'm stuck
Very good advice you shouldn't rush into a song
Exactly!
Hi there, is there a chance to get the explanations as well as in german? When I choose the trial it appeared in german and now I get english lessons?
Hallo Doris! Danke dir!
i can't see, so if i hit a note wrong on the keyboard, i would rely on the tablet giving me audio feedback to prompt
Hi Nathan! Thanks for asking. If you hit a wrong note, our app won't move on to the next one. It will wait until you play the correct one before moving on. Hope this helps to clarify things.
@@flowkey_DE can i heare the app move on
Hello I can play that piece of music I go by music book not by ear
The only good piano app imo
Thanks so much for your kind feedback. Much appreciated!
Does this app has HK pop song?
He have some K-Pop songs in our app...I hope you also like those.
@@flowkey_DE ok
where is the metronom?
You can find a metronome in our exercises for rhythm practice. :)
I really Want to but :( i cant afford
My dad bought bought me 3 months of it and then i learned quite a bit but it wasnt enough for me
How nice that you learned already quite a lot during the three months. Maybe you can get another voucher for your next birthday to continue learning. :)
@@flowkey_DE i am jusy learning the free songs right now because i like the layout of the app. Simplicity is better

When you sign up for flowkey, you have access to eight free songs. So you don't need premium to get started. 🙂

There’s no finger number on the sheet music ☹️
That's correct. That's why we provide a video with where the hand movements and fingers are shown. I know it takes a bit to get used to this when you are already used to seeing finger numbers in the sheet music.
can you guys make some of the songs not premium
Thanks for your comment. We have 8 free songs by default - and during Christmas time, we have actually 10 songs that you can learn for free. Hope you like one of them.
@@flowkey_DE thanks ill go look at the songs
