If you’ve always dreamed of playing your favorite song on the piano, you probably do what most folks do these days and go to UA-cam. UA-cam is an incredible resource for free piano lessons. In fact, I provide a pretty extensive series on how to play Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy on UA-cam myself. UA-cam is really great for providing free information. However, it’s not so good at giving you direct feedback. How do you know if you’re playing the notes the right way, the right time? It’s really up to you, right? And if you don’t know how to play the piano in the beginning, you can really waste a lot of time trying to figure out if you’re doing it right or wrong. Well, what if there was a way of combining the best of UA-cam in terms of the video instruction and an instrument that could actually give you feedback and let you know if you’re doing it the right way?
I want to introduce you to an amazing app called flowkey. flowkey connected to an instrument like the Yamaha Clavinova can provide exactly what I’m describing, real video lessons that can dynamically tell you if you’re doing it right or wrong with feedback connected to a Yamaha digital piano like the Clavinova CLP-695 that I’m sitting in front of right now. So in this video I’m going to give a quick overview of the flowkey app and how to connect it to your Yamaha Clavinova, both wirelessly and with a wired cable, as well as how to set it up on an iPad and an Android smartphone.
It works with Windows too! I don't understand why 1.4 billion users are constantly overlooked! In fact, it worked a lot easier on my Yamaha DGX 670 on my Windows 10 laptop than on my latest iPad!
👍 Thank you for the Android setup. Now I can use my Chromebook with Flowkey. I didn't know before seeing your vid. I was going to buy an ipad. You saved me $330! 👍
Enjoyed your video on working with the flowkey piano teaching tool.
Thanks so much! Recently bought the CLP-625 so I’ll look into it. Thanks again, Hugh!

How can I connect with wires to my iPhone/iPad?
The green tick flashing could have been done better. They should make the key, green if correct
My keyboard has pen drive slot .so can I directly connect my android phone with a USB cable?
I can't find any comparisons between Flowkey and Yamaha's Smart Pianist app. Which one would you recommend and why?
Well that's cool but not everybody have this Yamaha, I have a Midi keyboard with Midi OUT port + Midi USB but no Midi IN, can this works?
Hey ermm Guy for flowkey i have an question do you need to connect them? like usb on the piano to the tablet?
No. You can use Flowkey with the microphone. You can try it out for free on app.flowkey.com/ . I use Flowkey on my PC in Google Chrome for MIDI suport, other browser dont suport MIDI.
First comment! :)
Will Flowkey work with the P515?
From what I am able to gather yes the P 515 is compatible with Flowkey. Go to Flowkey website for details.
