That’s about the fifth video of yours I’ve seen Paul. I like the quality of your filming, and the drone footage of the countryside you’re detecting in adds to the charm. I also use a Nox 800, so it’s interesting and helpful to me that you provide target numbers etc. I have yet to find my first hammered coin, but last Sunday, when I was detecting near Bridgnorth, I did unearth a Charles II groat, dated 1670, so that really made my day! Keep posting your very entertaining videos my friend. All the best - Tony.
Thank you Tony that's really nice of you to say. Been really trying to improve my videos to make better viewing for everyone. Well done on the Charles II Groat I bet you was buzzing. You can't beat the feeling you get when you unearth something really nice. Thanks again for watching I really appreciate it. Take care mate. 😀
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting Yeh man, I'm planning to do one in future but my carpal tunnel has kicked in after the Malmsbury weekender. I'm waiting on an operation soon so may have to rest up for some time. Gutted 😥
Thanks Paul for a great video, you can’t beat that feeling of excitement as you start your first swing of the coil over dewy grass before the sun rises 🤗,after forty years of detecting I still get a sleepless night if I’m going out on an early next morning . Excellent channel buddy , thank you. All the best from Somerset 👍🏻👍🏻💯
Thank you Simon it really means alot that people enjoy my videos. I love getting up early and heading to the field. I get the same buzz I used to get when I fished. Couldn't get to sleep the night before like a kid at Christmas lol. Might meet you at Rodney Cook if your going?
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting would have loved to have gone to this great rally as only down road, but I work for local council and it’s my weekend working ffs! Hope you have a good one and enjoy a good few beers 🍺👌🏻
Thanks for another vid. Congrats on another hammered. I liked the historical info you gave with your finds. I have to say I actually like the button finds when they've patterns, especially the livery buttons.
Thank you Kelley I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. Yes the buttons can be beautiful some of them. I will try and add more historical information on my next video. 😀
Well done again mate what a fantastic week off work you had cracking weather and fantastic finds . Ps love the drone footage brilliant video keep up the good work
i love talking 2 ppl .im doing aldrige at mo found a cut half pound coin today silver ring yesterday along with a silver coke spoon on the side lines of a football pitch .like the camera work again,1921 penny as well i had,it will have 925 if its silver ,also had 3 bullets.decided 2 leave the spade and try a half moon edge cutter ,u r gonna do your back in double footing the spade.congrates on the hammie.u need 2 do close ups of what u find as they r 2 far away 4 us 2 see ,u ok / ps where wear the tips and tricks
Well done Mick seems like your having some good luck at the moment. Yes I'm going to start doing close ups with my phone again as you can't see with the GoPro as they aren't much good for close ups without macro lens.
Congratulations on getting another hammered mate 💪 your on a roll there I said it wouldn’t be long I broke my dry spell a couple weeks ago and at a north Devon dig with a Edward iii pre treaty groat I was buzzing and shouted the customary HAMMERED lmao never seen so many swarm me in seconds 🫣😆 I might whisper it on a group dig next time then on the Monday on my permission I found a silver sixpence 😊 I’m glad these dry spells don’t last too long. Keep up the awesome digging mate
Well done mate it's a brilliant feeling isn't it when you find something good. I always keep it quiet on digs if I find something because they are like vultures. I wait until Ive checked the area a bit first lol. It's hard though as your excited to tell people lol. Are you going to Rodney Cook?
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting I’m not sure what that dig is mate where abouts is it ? Yeah lesson learned don’t say anything till you have had chance to check the area over but after such a long wait I couldn’t hold it in I was starting to think I wouldn’t find anymore hammereds so I was absolutely buzzing and in a bit of shock to be honest. It’s not nice when you get a dry spell without any silver I’m really into my coins but I still enjoy other finds there’s plenty of stuff on my bucket list I hope to get one day but I would be more than happy finding many more hammereds to be honest mate.
@@davemitch729 Yes it sure is hard to keep it quiet lol. It's a weekend rally in Wiltshire if you just search Rodney Cook on Facebook. I'm finishing work at 12 today so I can come back get my stuff and shoot off in the lovely M6 and M5 traffic lol. Hope your lucky this weekend 😀
@@RingPullPaulMetalDetecting I checked it out mate maybe next year I will make it there. I hope you got there safe and in good time mate enjoy rally silver and gold 🤞🏻
Thank you for the video Paul. May I ask you please, what settings did you use on this occasion? I am a newbie, and just started learning with my 800 Nox.

Silver bit may be off a riding crop. Do those fields when they're wet .the Minelabs like it wet...
Yes I will do the only trouble is the grass gets too long and doesn't get cut again until next year.
That bullet casing looks like a 303 Blank. They used them for salutes in ceremonies.
Thank you 😀
congrats on a great day

Perdón Paul, en Spain llamamos vellónes a las monedas mediavales que llevan plata.
Think the unnamed silver may be part of a high end smokers pipe
when you dig it sounds like a group of cows with cowbells passing by
Haha it does yeah 🤣🤣
