Hi,Mike and Rick finally got a bit of time out. Nice too see a Roman coin for you Mike, always like a button too. Mike love the splitting tool, a Roman nail 💅 😀 and two Roman coins for you. Hope you're both well and you're families too!!😎🐓🐓🐓🐓🐊🇬🇧🇺🇦
Well done fellas in blustery conditions. Both beards had waggles up. Yours will be a Roman coin all day long Mike. Rick, it is wedge for rock splitting. Find them all through the gold fields. The knob is what I am told is of a tobacco jar. Find lots of them too but what we don’t find is Romans down here. Congrats on yours. Thanks boys for taking us with you. Even my beard was blowing around just watching from down here 🦘🦘😁👍
"Mick Dundee!... 🐊🦘" (Proper made me Giggle that chaps!...) 🤣😂 Great stuff as ever - and lovin' the Roman tackle... (Rick: Is that 1st coin one o' them 'Barbarous' romans - wi' 't spikey hair?... 🤔) Cheers again, Bobby 🐶
A different field for sure. It ended up producing some interesting finds. The Roman coins were amazing. Buttons galore. End the week ahead, and see you both on the next! Cheers mates! ❤❤😊😊
G'day Ricks & Mike well done on the Roman coins, and I would like to see some sort of date so we can really appreciate the age and the history of that motherland England, as we in Australia we only can measure it by hundreds, thank you mate. 🤠👍
Thank you Ray mate we have the history here you have the awsome weather, although I do get a little wind burnt easily your weather would be too much for me 😄💪🏻
Appreciate it matey 👌 you get them days weeks months where you find nothing good at all but keep swinging because the awesome finds just around the corner pal 😉
good to see you both get romans. totally love your banter and accents, might need to start plaiting your beards to keep it out of your eyes, lol. cheers from down under, zoomimg out
Great video guys good to see you're back on form Rick hitting them Romans mate would be nice to see if you can identify the date of one of them.antonius pius maybe ? ☆☆☆☆☆
Thank you pal I'm still desperately trying to ID the dark one as it has more detail than the other, could of done with it being a bit better mind you 🤣😄💪🏻
Hey mate, I think you are right about the stone splitting tool, it's funny how you don't see what's right under your nose hahaha found in the middle of a old stone quarry and I say its a log splitter hahaha A solid first detector would be something like the minelab vanquish 340 ill put a link to one LP sell with all the kit :-) it's a multi frequency machine so will work great on a beach too collabs.shop/cxuhj4
Hi guys been following over year now but m just asking what settings and advanced setting you use field 1. In the past have been successful with my settings I’m going through a dry set patch just looking to have another set in my nox 800 detecting over 3 yrs now I have watch and you guys are honest with your videos thankyou as you don’t know what hat you are going to find so your shows by what detecting is lik good finds and rubbish
Hiya pal there is absolutely nothing crazy about the settings we use, pretty mutch the stock settings but just adjust a couple of things as we go depending on emi and ground conditions. Field 1 Max sensitivity (knocked back if emi is bad usually don't have to drop below 23) Ground balance 0 (unless heavily mineralised ground) Max volume Threshold down to 0 5 tone with stock tone breaks Accept regect - 9 to 0 (do use the horse shoe when a dodgy signal come in) Recovery speed 4 or 5 (again ground dependant on this field it isn't trashy so drop the recovery speed right down to 1 to get that bit of extra depth and swing slow) Iron bias FE I try to run as low as possible 2 or 3 again depends on the ground if I start to dig more iron on dodgy targets I dig I will put it up.
Main things we change in the field are sensitivity, recovery speed and iron bias (FE) as we know each field is different even ones right next to one another 😄💪🏻
Hi Tracy they are awesome thank you and the spoons too :-) do you sell these? If so when I make a post I'll drop some details for people to get in touch.

That wedge looks like a rock splitter. They'd hammer a bunch of them in a crack and split bigger rocks with them.

Good hunt, thanks for taking us along! That wedge was likely used at the quarry to make blocks.Either the Romans or someone later on.

Well done lads, nice 2 ringer and romans 👍🏻 is it a log splitter or axe head 😊
That's what I thought but people now say it was for splitting stone and slate
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel interesting 🧐 I didn’t think about a slate splitter, nice find 👏
iam new to detecting what machine do you recommend. the wedge could be a plug for feathers for stone splitting.

Hey mate 👍 I'll get Rick to reply as he's the one that does the most tinkering with the settings hahaha I'm more a switch on and go type of guy 👦
@@TheMetalDetectingChannel many thanks for reply and yes that would be great any settings that you use.
