- Custom Built to Tear stuff UP! Dangerous for sure.. but will it work? These attachments are Expensive but we have some junk mowers laying around.. Lets build something
We start by fixing a lawn mower that won't start, then the same mower starts and dies, then build a diy brushcutter from lawnmower. then we mig weld a custom bracket to mount it to the bucket of our mini excavator
Consider SUBSCRIBING to follow this journey...its FREEEEE and Helps the Channel more than you know...one little click goes a long way... and I won't call you at dinner time
I picked up this vicsec mini excavator, gas powered machine...Trying to maximize the usage. So here is a little custom diy mod to help take care of out of control yard and garden overgrowth... dangerous enough for farm show. built by attaching an old lawn mower to an excavator just to give it hell

Can not beleive you took my crazy thought and made a mini ex into a brush murdering device lol Your becoming addictted to the equipmet mad maxxing diease :)
We ll call it maxing out my investment… mad maxing. It it was left behind and I can use it. I am gonna and those machines cost a pretty penny and we are gonna get every penny back out of it
Just a tip:
Put a heavy flywheel off of a 2-3hp horizontal engine on it.
It won't bog down or die near as easily.
Thats and interesting idea
I found your channel when you first bought that property. I’ve never seen you even work on a car but I’ve enjoyed the content.
i am glad thanks for reaching out. I like projects of all sizes but it did all start with a 27 ford build.. and now this project sure has me occupied
I am glad you did try it. As I had dreamed that it might be a legitimate idea. Having cleared a bunch of brush around buildings I have some suggestions. Ryobi makes loppers and a big weed eater with a saw blade is your best bet. Cut what you can then use the excavator to pull it out and pile it up to burn. Mulching brush takes a lot of horse power and is dangerous about launching debris.
That round big mower deck would be sweet if you could a pump for it be even better. But great build tho looks awesome
I was thinking about that first. But pumps and hoses and everything were starting to add up to about 300 bucks. So I thought…. Huh. Well I have all these mowers sitting here
You need to construct a service trailer, so you can move a welder/compressor oxyacetylene cutting gear etc between your properties
Be a really intresting video ❤❤
Thas a good idea, I have not really explored the idea but some way to mobilize a shop would be very helpful
How about you try and put a motor on the bigger mower deck to make it look like that little mover. It will give you a lot more cutting area. Maybe put a bigger gas tank on it also. Love all the video's.
thanks man, I have thought about it. I was also looking into hydraulic motors to drive them ....something will happen they will not got to waste
The left belt on the excavator seems a bit slack, might worth take a look.
Im waiting for the flame thrower attachment!😂
Can’t wait to see you tackle that tall stuff!
You are still saving money even with what you bought. lawnmowers all not cheap anymore.
That contraption obviously needs a two stroke engine so a full tank of gas assures maximum catastrophic potential. An expanded metal operator guard would be a great idea on the front of the cage. This is great stuff!
i was following till you said expanded metal guard... would you settle for a bicycle helmet this isnt the bar in roadhouse
@@betweenthesharksgarage Having survived more than one tornado up here in the great lakes, (look up Belvidere tornado 1967) I can tell you that sticks can be launched into the human body with regularity. I don't know what the speed is of a 20 or 22 inch mower blade at the tip, but i bet its over 160mph. That would be the speed the potential debris could be moving in your direction. This stuff is too much fun to not take cheap precautions.
Check the woodruff key on the flywheel.
I'm PROUD of YOU ! This is something I would have dreamed up...as a teenager, BUT You pulled it off --- as an adult ! B*R*A*V*O
,,,,,Newk from Kentucky
Lol it s fun! Good to hear from you newk
My best friend and I call most of our projects Red neck games. I'm enjoying the content on the mini excavator and mini skid steer.
Thanks man. I could have earned many participation awards in the red neck games … no blue ribbons yet
That's some hillbilly shit.......... I love it lol
Hillbilly deluxe
It might not work so well if you tilt the mower seeing as though it siphons the gas out of the tank, but awesome invention!!
it will have a limit... but i have run some mowers up some pretty steep hills in my day... there is some room
@@betweenthesharksgarage there's only one way to find out
🥴🤕 Red Green would be proud.
Excellent job Ryan
I appreciate that
You probably have rust on the magnet on the fly wheel and it needs to be cleaned off that's you are not getting any spark
all push mowers have a brake, the cable pulls that lever that releases is, that why i was hard to turn when you put the switch instead of the pin
Ohhhhhhth. Thank you. I can “fix” that
What in the Methhead Estates....?
If you're serious about this... Maybe you should look at the blade system for a forestry mulcher. You need to take that blade off and put a knock away blade on. Even if you make it yourself with a disc on four pivot blades. You could also use a remote control actuator for an RC to work the throttle.
Methhead acres my good sir
Loved the videos brother can’t wait until you get that truck running. There was a shed. falling down it be cool. You went in there and see what you can get out and all the parts and then you had a camper too so yeah, lots of cool videos
Thanks man we are gonna keep going... you ll see all that stuff on the channel soon
@@betweenthesharksgarage you had a orange heavy duty one that would be good for something in the yard there
I would think using the excavator to scrape the ground and pull the plants out by the roots (for the smaller stuff) would be a better option than just mulching them but I'm not against making something that just obliterates them. That's way more fun 🤣. Looking forward to what you come up with next!
You are not wrong in anyway…. This was sort of a test run… a proof of concept if you will. There are other parts of the property that will need obliteration before we can even find the root…. This was for funzies
Awesome.
Thanks!
Have you checked on the brush hog attachments for your stand-up skid steer. Either way this is brilliant ideal with push mower.
i think they exist.... by think.. i have not figured out the gallons per min on the accessory hydraulics on either machine . Also for scale the skid steer has a 42 ish inch bucket so a lot of the brush hogs are much much larger... and the ones i have seen are not cheap .... i have a few mower decks laying around and thought about building one, but i dont want to spend a few hundred on the hydraulic motor until i have flow rate figured out. in the mean time I may see about retrofitting a gas motor onto those decks... cause i seem to have both laying around.... also I plan to adapt this little guy i made so it will go onto either machine..
@@betweenthesharksgarage Yeah after I watched your video further I really like what you done with the pushmower plus it's way more fun looks like
@@jeffcomer8317 also.... i looked it up for fun 4750 for a dingo attachment. not guarantee my machine could run it...but there is is the attachment is more than the machine... the redneckery shall continue
I would run a wire from the excavator to a solenoid on the mover and have a remote killer..... Even better would be a little radiocontrolled "thingadingy" 😁
Now you are speaking my language. Remote start and kill thingadingys would be very helpful
That key can have a hairline crack in it. And “look” ok.
been working on cars for a living for over 20 years and i usually always makes sense but small engine at home confuse me so much
Not OSHA approved. 🤣 on the shark risk scale this is a "Between the Hammerheads". Curious....... did you sharpen the blade? AND, Thank you for stopping my headache. Worrying about you doesn't allow worrying about me. See you next time, I hope, brother.
I service I did not know I provided lol. Thanks for following along
@@betweenthesharksgarage a service which I have rendered to many over my 72 years. Good to see the next generation being so service minded. hehe.
3.5hp motors aren’t powerful enough for brush cutting! 10hp minimum.
well... it is indeed tearing some stuff up
