Both of them have similar powers, but Utopian is definitely a more experienced fighter and is arguably much stronger. His son killed the Blackstar clone with a single punch, meaning Utopian could've done the same if he hadn't been holding back.

Utopian wins just based off the strength that he has been actively fighting villains, with powers, for years that want to kill him. Apparently in the comics, he tanked a nuke then had to fight against all the supers who were trying to kill him. That had to gang up on him after he took a nuke. He beating homelander

Utopian is way faster than Homelander, when he went after Hutch, and Hutch teleported from the city to another state (Idaho)...Utopian was there in 3 seconds.

Yeah homelander is getting stomped
The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs and almost reduced Earth to a pile of ashes was seven miles in size, so if Utopian only "moved" that he would have to move an object seven miles in scale, and if he actually it then we would be talking about someone who can punch literally with the same strength as OG Superman. So really, that means Utopian is at a bare minimum on par with Wonder Woman or Supergirl and possibly directly comparable in strength to Superman. Keep in mind just to survive all that, to keep his bones from snapping and the heat from obliterating him, thermonuclear weapons would bounce off Utopian like rocks off the side of a tank. So, again, we're talking about a character who is roughly comparable to Superman or Thor and, at the literal minimum, would have to equal Wonder Woman. His speed feats and his ability to leap into orbit shows he can easily reach escape velocity, so again he's at least as fast as Supergirl, possibly Superman. Regardless this dude would be like a top tier Justice League guy in DC Comics...and ironically his personality would probably make him a fine fit for a JLA member.
4:40 he was obviously holding back on his eye lasers when he shot storm front since at the end of season 2 his kid was able to do far more damage to her (missing limbs, could barely talk, probably dying but maybe not) by hitting her with his lasers while he was enraged. Mind you the kid apparently has little to no control of his powers..so either homelander was holding back when he shot her (which we already know he initially held back even more) or his kid has significantly stronger lasers than he does.... Which I highly doubt is the case.

This is a good one , one is man made the other by divine alien tech , one is a complete psychopath the other a truly noble person, one is selfish and self centered the other a flawed loving parent with issues. Power wise their comparable how ever one has telekinesis and telepathy , experience wise one has a decade or 2 the other almost a hundred plus years. Yeah, honestly Homelander doesn't really stand a chance against anyone that is near his power level. Dude was homegrown to be super powerful. He doesn't even know how to fight so much as just overpower people.
Comic utopian molly whoops both comic and show homelander at the same time only to lose to omniman. But show utopian did fly to Mars and back in a day and was holding back throughout the whole show because he doesn’t kill and said he’s weaker than he was in his prime.
Utopians speed feat flying across the country in an instant puts him leagues above homelander. His ability to exert enough strength to stop or destroy a comet is leagues above homelander. Homelanders heat vision only burns people like storm front or other similar strong heroes and villains. Utopians and his sons heat vision were stated enough to slice through blackstar by blackstar himself when trying to place a wedge between him and his son. Blackstar is powered by antimatter. A single gram is more energy dense than our most powerful nuclear bombs. And he’s powered by way more than a gram. Utopian would decimate homelander. He would shrug off the heat vision with only minor burns. I think he would quickly realize that homelander isn’t so good in the sky and take advantage of that. Take the fight to space where homelander has considerably less gravity to work with. The only problem is homelander will not give up without dying. He will keep fighting even after he’s certain to die, with only shreds of himself left. Utopian would have to punch him to Mars or something. And then set up a prison there for him.

But Utopian actually lit up his eyes to kill Blackstar, and he later claimed that he wouldn’t let Brandon die. So I don’t think he would have just done nothing, we just didn’t get to see it cuz Petra helped Brandon free.
I just want to say one thing is that homelander really never tries due to him being more superior to everyone else so that’s why he never goes that fast or uses full strength. Just because we haven’t seen him use it still doesn’t mean he can’t do it. I’m pretty certain that if he needed to he would fly faster then Mach 5 or stop an astroid but he never really has to so he doesn’t do it. But I could still be wrong.
The Utopian is allot like Sups in another way as in he holds back due to his code of not killing and to reduce collateral damage as much as possible. If he went all out I don't think Homelander would stand a chance. A better match would be Homelander vs Omni Man. I think Omni Man would curb-stomp his ass though but at least morality wouldn't really factor into it.
The Boys universe supes seem like the weaker compared to most the other superhero universes. But it's still cool.
The thing is Homelander has never fought someone like him or really anyone in the same ballpark as him. Utopian has not only has he he has been doing this shit for decades.
Homelander is going to go into this fight with his usual overconfidence and for the first time in his life get his ass handed to him casually.
By the time Homelander even understands that his shit is getting rocked Utopian has already racked up a good bit of damage into him. Furthermore Utopian has feats for energy resistance Homelander has never taken his eye beams before.

Just finished Jupiter's Legacy and I vote Sheldon/Upotium. His main drawback is that he wants to honour the code of never killing, so he'll never fight at 100% while we know Homelander won't care. On the flipside however Homelander has little to no real combat experience because nearly everyone he fought for most of his life were just humans. Kimiko's brother was the only real one who tested him, and it was Stormfront who fought killed him.
Sheldon/Utopia on the other hand has plenty of combat against supers. Heck we saw how overpowered the daughter was when not even trying to properly fight back. I also feel the supers in Jupiter's Legacy in general are more powerful than the supers from The Boys. For example the Ruby Red hero with the energy armour was able to withstand that explosion caused by Blackstar blasting Sheldon and Grace miles into their direction. And that earthquake dude in the same fight caused a pretty powerful eruption. That ironwoman chick in the opening fight send Brandon flying a far distance into a building. Every member of the Sampson family can cause a tremor just by landing that shakes and nearly flips over nearby vehicles and objects, etc.

I F-ING LOVE The Utopian. I loved that show. Yes, I have read ALL the comics and I know it's different, but I love it. It has the single best Super Hero costumes ever. Liz Wolf was amazing!!

My friend always argued with me that someone like the homelander or omni man would automatically win, because they're brutal.. 😂 So they can kill someone even like superman.. I always knew they were wrong but couldn't convince them... But I like a point that u make in some of your videos... That yes something like the boys or invincible comics or series can be more graphic than marvel or DC.. But the idea is the same heros regularly fight against villains who r not playing with them... The villains are actively trying to kill the heroes, yet the hero is skilled and durable enough to hold his own against someone who might be stronger than them and is trying to murder them. While most of the time the heros don't just kill the villain, but try to capture them alive.
Characters like Omi-Man and Homelander are not even close to Superman's level. Brutality has nothing to do with it. No amount of desire to kill your opponent matters when you can't even skratch them. Supes has benched pressed the weight of the Earth for multiple days, his heat vision has the potential to incinerate the avg. foe; he's able to react fast enough to the Flash. Neither Omi-Man nor Homelander has shown feats even near that. I think if push comes to shove, Omni-Man could exchange a few blows with Clark before getting beaten down, but Homelander gets swatted like a fly.
Truly not even close. Besides what you've seen, Utopian flew 170 million miles in just a couple hours to the Jovian moon Europa. He possesses the power of telekinesis. He used it to lift several people in the air, even if they are not within his line of sight, and carry them with him as he flies, creating a telekinetic bubble around himself and others, and use it to carry a quantity of breathable air to areas of vacuum so that non-superhumans inside the bubble can survive. He also used his body to drill 1,000 miles to the center of Europa. These were all feats from Mark Millars Jupiter's legacy comics, however utopian is identical to the character from the comics. When they say Superman holds back, Utopian takes it to a whole other level because of his code.
And because this Netflix series was more of a very very very long and drawn out origin story, I'm quite confident that season 2 will demonstrate some more of his Superman+ level abilities and more. Utopian stomps.
Unfortunately, you would think he is nowhere near Superman's level of durability as he got beat up black and blue and bloody, however his battles were not with simple supes but exclusively with black star where they made him look extremely vulnerable. However black star is a Thanos / Doomsday/anti-monitor type hybrid who has destroyed entire alien civilizations by himself. And that's why it really bothered me that a simple door and some steel cuffs could keep him at Bay in the series. When he has an anti matter battery for a heart, and can produce massive energy blasts like he did in the first episode. He can obviously even detonate nuclear level antimatter blasts that could destroy entire States as utopian mentioned. Yet a door to his cell kept him at Bay? That first season really was frustrating, but hopefully it will improve.
You forgot to show the most impressive durability feat from that Blackstar fight. The fact both him and his wife seemingly got blasted since both were covered in a fireball and flew miles into a hillside and created a big explosion. Sheldon got back up while Grace was temporarily knocked out and we saw how durable she was in her fight against that bootleg ASM2 Electro.

@@andrejoshuaronzales5752 No he never said that. People always misinterpret that plane scene. What homelander is basically trying to say is that he physically cannot lift the plane just from a point. Think about it like this; there is a very strong and indestructible needle trying to carry a huge metal door. Normally, the needle would instantly bend and the door would crush it. However in this example, the needle is strong and durable, thus it will go through the door, yet be unable to carry it. This is what exactly Homelander is trying to say.

How exactly? He’s never hit someone as fast as the Utopian, he’s never fought someone as durable as Utopian, and he’s certainly never had his shit rocked by someone as powerful as him.
Homelander has never thought anyone even remotely close to this level before. I think he would just be confused by the fact that he can’t just cut him in half with Eye beams and not really be able to defend himself from being torn apart in a fistfight while Utopian is using his own beams to block homelanders.

Homelander’s strength limit isn’t a plane he simply didn’t care enough to try, plus catching a plane midair won’t work at all, he’d easily punch through the hull or rip it in half if any pressure was put on it, think about as a needle holding up jelly. In fact we haven’t seen him use any real effort or struggle in the show at all, every time he does use his powers he completely annihilates everybody and everything, hell he carried Butcher and the baby out of the house before the explosion reached them and left the baby 17 blocks away without a scratch.
I would take the statements as facts, aside from Soldier Boy and Butcher, no one has ever injured Homelander so I would take everything that was said about his strength and durability at face value.

My take: Utopian is more powerful and have more experience than Homelender. The difference is that Homelender will be ruthless and Utopian with his no killing rule might fuck him hard in the ass. Also Utopian is getting old and we see many instance of battle scare on is old body. I really like the new superhero show of late, the boys, Jupiter and Invincible make my lockdown days.

The airplane scene:
Superman has a biofield that can extend to anything he touches including an airplane. Homelander does not posses this "biofield" so if he was to try and catch an active airplane, he could've instead make things worse, breaking the vehicle in pieces.

I don't know what the exact model of that airplane was, but a boeing 747 weighs ~180 tons and travels at ~900 km/h. So if you try to stop it with two hands(1 human palm has a surface area of ~200cm², so double that, 400cm²), even if you are strong enough to stop it, your hands will go straight through the plane. The force is very large and the contact area is small, so the plane can't handle it. If a plane was made of some (imaginary) indestructible material then he could stop it. Homelander putting his hands in front of a flying plane would be the equivalent of firing a canon at it.If you want to see an example of this, watch Invincible episode 8. When Omni man holds his son's(both of them are superman-like 'heroes') head infront of a speeding train. It cuts the train in half and kills all the people inside.

I wanna see a Godzilla earth vs surtur
On the note of durability feats , while we did see injuries on utopian during the fight against blackstar fight , but we do need to bare something in mind .
1 : blackstar is powered by antimatter which is a much more powerful source of energy than nuclear energy , meaning that utopian is one of the most durable beings in the universe in order to withstand blackstar . homelander is capable of dealing with nuclear energy but he has never went against antimatter before so it does mean that utopian is potentially more durable than homelander .
2 : utopian has much more experience with fighting people who are close to , if not even more powerful than him so dealing with homelander would just be another day in the office .
I don’t think Utopian destroyed the comet. We see it going past the earth at the end of that episode
why would he destroy the comet and risk sending small pieces into earth, he just grabbed the comet and sent it flying a diiferent way.

I mean going off how the stories are Utopian has to be stronger. Homelander is fighting human/meta humans. Utopian is fighting actual super beings. The boys universe doesn’t fit the mold of most superhero stories, they’re treated more like celebrities that’s hero’s.

Read up on the comic-book version of the Utopian. This guy is no joke as a superhero. I see you are only looking at this through the lens of the series adaptations but in comic lore, Homelander would have no real chance against the Utopian.
not only does utopian have the benefit of having a century of knowledge and decades of combat experience
but we've also never seen him fight to his full potential because he's always tried not to kill,
and we saw his weaker son punch Blackstar's head so hard it exploded. (blackstar being kinda like Jupiter's Legacy's hulk, super durable)
so i'd wager in a death battle utopian could punch homelands so hard that his fist goes through him.

Actually if you read some of the comics and stuff you will find that he’s actually way strong easily strong enough to carry a plane he just didn’t want to and honestly didn’t care
realistically the only thing that would make carrying a plane hard for him is the fact that it’s nothing to do with strength or having a solid surface to stand on that was all bullshit but everything to do with the fact that when you’re a superhero you’re only as big as the human body that you have so whether or not you have the strength to probably lift 100 of those planes once it doesn’t matter because the plane is made out of metal and plastic no matter how durable it is putting a insanely massive amount of pressure and force on a small 80 bitty portion of the plane and serve spreading it out over the entire bottom part of the plane it would break that area of the plane severely pushing a lot of metal plastic and other things up into the planet possibly even damaging the cabin and air flow within it and that is just some thing that makes superman pushing a plane kind of stupid because he would have to do it in a very specific manner meaning fly up to it start slowly pushing it up and then once you start slowly doing that then you can just kind of glide with it but Like I said he probably didn’t care enough to do any of that
