    Love these interviews! Keep them coming... Your channel is amazing Jake and supports my beliefs towards natural vision improvement such as relaxing the eyes, reducing close up work and more outdoor activity without wearing over prescribed glasses of course, I will be releasing a video based on this because I do believe the message needs to be spread to help others and myself improve our vision naturally so long as we have the patience and determination. Thank you for all your efforts Jake! Keep up the amazing work! You are incredible changing so many lives...wow! The biggest challenge in this day an age (particularly in the UK where I`m from) is reducing close-up work, which is the fundamental cause of it all.

    How can 3,500 people have watched this yet only 170 have liked it and 3 disliked it? Jake, you may need to remind people in these videos to “like” and subscribe so they don’t forget.

    He's the same age I am. I didn't wear glasses until I was 10. My vision was at -4.5 from 22-27. Thought maybe it finally peak and wouldn't get worse but I was wrong. I'm currently prescribed -5.75 but use -5.5. His eyes really not that bad considering he been wearing them since 3.

    I’ve been doing some research on the new SMILE procedure but can’t find any honest reviews about the risks compared to lasik or lasek, what is your opinion?

    • @xxpowwowbluexx
      @xxpowwowbluexx 4 роки тому

      Lino Facioli, all of those procedures are essentially the same. They all cut a permanent lens into your cornea and do not in any way address the real problem of myopia: axial elongation. After the surgery, you STILL have myopia, even though you can see better. It’s simply slapping a Band-aid quick fix on a problem while completely ignoring the actual problem and its root causes.

    It’s so sad and upsetting how these companies lobby and make money off of people’s expense (health and hard-earned money). 😫 I guess it pays to be poor (where you’re not tempted to buy expensive gadgets or glasses that will potentially damage your eyes and health). 😓

    • @EloiseG233
      @EloiseG233 3 роки тому +1

      Unless you live in the UK like me where glasses are usually free for children under 16. Then by the time you're an adult and start having to pay, you're already suffering with moderate or high myopia.

    I have Astigmatism -.75 both eyes current prescription with high myopia. I keep getting -1.25-1.5 cylinder correction from different doctors for a new prescription. What should I do? I really want to start my journey with a pair of normalised. My current prescription is from 2016. I can barely see the 20/20 and 20/15 lines with artificial lighting and I'm pretty sure I can see it with natural light, but my house is poor finding a location for that., I think I'm practicing active focus to see the eye chart better. Keep these videos coming. I have a pair of differentials that are 1.5 diopters weaker but I have to sit more than arms length from my keyboard, that's pretty far to get a blur horizon from my position to my monitor, so I'm not practicing active focus in near work. I need weaker prescription for a differential too.

    Hello i am 21 year old student from Nepal
    I have Left -3.25 and right -3 but i think my myopia is progressing but i haven't gone to optometrist for check up and using same glasses which i see little blurry at distance and can't see like liscance plate and other things at distance.
    As i told you i am an student and i have to wear my eyeglasses see things in board and read books can i use active focus method and use my eyeglasses to fix my myopia?

    When you say -5.25 diopters is that for glasses or contacts?

    • @robertt251
      @robertt251 5 років тому

      The kind of lens mechanism used is irrelevant. The diopter number indicates the needed correction to fix the eyes axial elongation. However a contact will have slight stronger power being closer to the eye then glasses.

    • @xxpowwowbluexx
      @xxpowwowbluexx 4 роки тому

      Ben, that is a good question.

    • @xxpowwowbluexx
      @xxpowwowbluexx 4 роки тому

      RTundra, that’s not true that it’s irrelevant. -5.25 glasses is roughly equivalent to -5.00 contacts, and -5.25 contacts is roughly equivalent to -5.50 glasses.

    Stupid LASIK ad at the beginning of this video. Gimme your money so I can engrave permanent lenses into your eyeballs and leave you at risk for further myopia progression and potentially all the risks of serious conditions that come with high myopia like retinal detachment! And if you ever feel like you need a “touch up,” just come back and see me, and I’ll give you another quick fix that increases your risk and leaves you with the same degree of myopia or worse than you started with! 🤑🤑🤑

    I want so bad for this to work for me so I can see what happens when I improve in front of a professional. I asked my current doctor about exercises or something I could do to take care of my eyes. I think I suggested look 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes during the day at working at my office. She didn't have any additional suggestions beyond mine. Where's the preventive care? Really? Must be the "genetic" belief.

    • @xxpowwowbluexx
      @xxpowwowbluexx 4 роки тому

      Ben, no exercises needed. Keep watching more of these videos to learn more about how all this works if you haven’t already since you posted your comment.
