Yes, this car was fairly down on the quoted Toyota figures. The car is higher mileage than usual for a GR Yaris and has been driven pretty hard. Still, you wouldn’t expect it to be down that much! Hence the mods to get it back up to power
These cars are very sensitive on dyno’s. If the car is not strapped down properly by someone who knows these cars, you will get low power results. It’s to do with how the 4WD system distributes the power. These cars produce normally over the quoted 260hp
If you want to see a transformed GR yaris check out the Motive Video channel where they have "tuned" it as a 500+HP circuit racer that also pulls 10's in the 1/4 mile!
Hi Manny, we saw a 25bhp increase in power after fitting the modifications. I don’t have the torque figures to hand, but I’ll let you know as soon as I have this. More info can be found on our blog here blog.demon-tweeks.com/performance/tweekd-project-car-series-yaris-gr/
@@DemonTweeksTV sorry i meant i sent email to a company that sold this. They never replied. Thought it was the manufacturers. Next time i visit UK, i cud get it off you and bring it back to malaysia.
Yeah so you got 30hp from changing the way you strapped the car on the dyno, 4hp from the exhaust and 1hp from the intake
You’ve transformed the car! Thanks
🙌 thanks! Hope you’re enjoying the drive! 😉
Lets say its 40bhp less than it is cus of miles (1 year old car btw)
So it looks like we done more.
Saw this coming honestly
These things are sick!
Why changed the wheels??? Are they lighter
Wait 228hp? I thought it has like 260

They are known to be troublesome to dyno accurately, chances of it losing power after 13k are slim, the engine is very strong.
@@DemonTweeksTV mods to get it back to stock... And the mileage on it isn't that high.. If this was a wide spread thing that would be concerning.
Toyota’s hp numbers are not at the wheels. You have losses through the drivetrain especially with a awd car.

The best Yaris to date is motive, stage by stage they showed what can be done..
That new exhaust is 🔥

This car was great fun to drive and work on!
Especially after the mods 👍😊
@@DemonTweeksTV you’re not wrong there!
What are these mods actually giving power and torque wise?

@@DemonTweeksTV 25hp from a rear section?
In terms of power, in this video we add a new inlet duct from Forge, a bigger Airtec intercooler and a Scorpion GPF back exhaust system.
@@DemonTweeksTV seems a bit optimistic. Those are not the main restrictions.
I sent email to try and buy forge intake.. they never replied. 😔😬
