liked and subscribed love ur simple ideas

Hi thank you for the helpful video! Quick question, do you have any tips on diffusing harsh window lighting making videos too overexposed?
No problem! Yeah, it kind of depends, is the window going to show up in the shot, or is just providing light in the room? You can get very large reflectors that you could put in front of the window if it's no in the shot. geni.us/LargeReflector
Or if the window will be in the shot, try to use light grey sheers (if it's your own place you can hang them permanently instead of curtains). That way you still get natural sunlight but the intensity is cut down.
Loved it bro 🔥🙏
Thanks 🔥
Good tips!
All-Terrain Family thank you, I hope they help!
after 1:24 her eyes explode with beautiful blue color... really shows the power of shaping light
( great smile too!)

manohar mgr hey thanks for watching!
Great tips! What kind of background would you suggest I buy for something like a product shoot? Something similar to the one you had behind the headphones.
Amie Dibba thanks! Yeah. I would buy some Savage Seamless paper from Amazon. Just get the size and color you need. Otherwise, you can use a simple piece of black or white foam core like I did in this video if your product is small enough, you can get that at Walmart or just about any store
@@chadwin thanks! You are awesome 😊
E M E R G E N C Y Q U E S T I O N!! I'm shooting an indoor scene at night, in a few days. There's no moonlight on that night, but I'd like to have some. If I used an Ari light with blue gel, and blast it through a diffuser for a window shot, will it retain the blue hue?
sorry for incredibly late response. but yes, itd still have the blue tint
what kind of stand are you using to hold your reflector? looks pretty compact and seems to do the job well.
It's just a basic C-stand, works great for reflectors, lights and all kinds of other things! ua-cam.com/video/K8hw1WigpOs/v-deo.html
New to this creative life, so just seeing this video for the first time. Thank you for this I feel like I learned something and thought your presentation style was very polished. Udemy in your plans? Subscribed, thanks fam.

And u too
mr nothing 😆 😂 thanks
Nice video.
Three throne Productions thanks for watching! Hopefully you got some new uses for your reflector.
Chadwin Smith sure I will thanks
Thank you chad, actually im looking how to use reflector on daylight.
Epic Chadwin.
Billkwando thanks!!
@@chadwin Thought that might give you a chuckle. :D
@@chadwin If you look at my last 3 videos, you can see where I'm learning and experimenting based on your advice. Still a work in progress. Thanks for the knowledge! :)
What's the best iso to use to get the graininess out your shots when shooting in daylight? Working with the Sony a6400 and the 18-135mm F3.5-5.6
kNERO Lapaé I try to keep my ISO as low as possible at all times to reduce grain. So ISO 100 or 200 depending on what PP you’re using. There’s no magic number really, just open up your aperture and try to expose the shadows as best as you can.
@@chadwin What if it's too dark?
@ if it's too dark during the broad daylight, I'd be concerned...Maybe it very overcast day? Open up as much as you can with your aperture and use ISO if your need to, I just wouldn't go over 1600-3200 ISO. Maybe getter a lens with a faster aperture like f1.8 or 2.8. F5.6 isn't letting in enough light all the time.
@@chadwin Gotcha! I'm currently shooting with 18-135mm f.3
Supper bro 👌👌👌👌
May I know whats the name of the clips you used to hold the reflector to your c-stand?
4:26 Studios they’re just basic 4” clamps from Home Depot. You can also clamp the reflector right to the c-stand with another head.
you gotta make a video on color grading sony a7sii footage. I've been shooting with it for 2 years now, I cant get my colors right and I'm so frustrated! :'(
Can you recommend some stands to hold reflectors?
David Shaheen 100% I always recommend c-stands and they’re super versatile! geni.us/Cstand
@@chadwin wow, that's super expensive for a stand. thanx
@@dsha2006 Yeah, they're pricey but you can use them for years and for all different purposes. I made a whole video about them. ua-cam.com/video/K8hw1WigpOs/v-deo.html There are also cheaper ones on amazon like this one www.amazon.com/UTEBIT-Extendable-Reflector-Lighting-Photography/dp/B07JVB6MZZ
I'm considering buying the 150x200 reflector for my outdoor shoots. Do you think it will worth due to its size?
Doktor Krok it will def work for outdoor shoots. But it’s massive so it can become a sail in the wind. Def need a dedicated person to hold it or a sturdy stand.
damn yıu kiling it mann
What kind of Reflector do I need on a strong sunlight?thank you
K3C well, you can really use any brand of reflector. I’d recommend using the white side and bouncing back onto your subject if the sun is behind them. If the sun is overhead or in front of the subject, use the diffusion to make the light soft on your subject.
@@chadwin So, the diffusion and white, no silver and gold!?
@@-K3C- That can depend on the look you're going for.
First video I've seen of yours, are you in Arizona?
Yep, arizona based! 🌵
@@chadwin Same. Looking at the scenery, I felt right at home.
Damn. His voice is so soft.
In Frames 😂 I guess it kinda is!
He probably used the reflector on it 😂😂😂
How many reflector do I need?
Blow the wind XD #Genuis
John Rathee haha yep! Hit ‘em with the wind.
That Arizona dirt gets everywhere sometimes 😩
hahaha yes it does!
I know that feeling
This was fuckin dope.
kingprotools1 thanks man! Really appreciate it
The ring is split in half....how do i fix it???? Please help
You know me yikes! If the metal ring inside snapped, it probably can’t be fixed. You’ll likely need to replace it. Luckily they’re pretty affordable.
@@chadwinwhat if I use some sort of metal glue?
she's beautiful!
She's really pretty
Wait! You mean if I cover a window it stops light from getting in?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Bro give me a camera please bro a love from india 😊😊
haha! sorry, i hope to do some giveways in the future once the channel really grows
Funny :)
#2 is not a reflector. It is a diffuser
mr nothing true!!
Shes fine
Asmr next time plz
This video was held full
Visuals. Gyatso 😂😂 some reason everyone keeps on thinking I have a voice for ASMR. 🤷🏼♂️
Chadwin Smith I think it’s because you do!
Disliked for too many ads
sorry! you can thank youtube for all the ads. i hate them too. but it's part of being monetized.
Most of these aren't "hacks," they're literally the most basic things that reflectors are meant to do...
Use the diffuser to diffuse! Use the reflector to reflect! Wow, groundbreaking.
Hacks don't apply to using reflectors, Chad.. Hack is a writer that does shabby work. In this case, you are applying this to doing shabby work for yourself. Hack is to chop, or cut. Hacking also applies to unauthorized access to a computer through a way of force. You idiots on the web, always use Hack incorrectly.
