I really enjoyed your video guys! I wish you best of luck with the bees to expand more and you to enjoy every sec working on the hives. I am beginner as well, 2 years since I work on my own. I have 2 beehives this winter. Looking forward spring to expand :)
You have such a stunning colony of bees, the ladies look ready to expand. I love seeing more people getting into beekeeping. I remember when I got my first hive. I was so scared that I accidentally close the hive with my hive tool still lying on the frames. After 15 min of searching I looked under the hive lid to find it there.
I was super scared at first when we installed the nuc. I’m feeling better now though. I think this weekend we will remove the feeder and put in 2 frames in its place for them to expand. Then hopefully add another brood box in a few weeks.

Awesome video. What country is it?
Put some duct tape, rectangular piece of hardboard, or plastic porter bee escapes over the hole on the cover board.
Get yourself a J-hook hive tool.
Thanks for the tip
