    Another informal video. I love your content. Thankyou for sharing. Hope you feel better soon. I kinda know we’re you stand . I installed a package and made two splits with new caged queens. Me my wife and mother in law and grandson that my wife watches came down with Covid , so I havnt been able to check to see if queens have been released or if they need more feed. Hopefully I can check next week . Sending prayers your way ❤

    Hello sir new beekeeper from the Philippines, i just got a question.
    Have you ever tried putting the foundation in between the 2 brood boxes not on the top, if yes then is it better or not?

    What are your thoughts on using an upper entrance during a honey flow to increase the efficiency of honey storage?

  • @daverowden-RowdyBeeFarms

    I am having a lot of Swarming myself. Do you have technique to get Swarms off a tree trunk up in the tree. I can reach the swarms with a ladder no problem but its not like I can shake the trunk to get the bees. I have been scooping the larger piles into a brood box with a frame of eggs but then I have no way to get the rest off the tree trunk. I tried brushing them into a bucket but that really really pisses them off. If you have better technique I could use it. The bees have been going into the boxes so far but now when I get near the hives I get attacked immediately because they are still pissed off at me even weeks later. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Hope you don't have Lyme's Decease and you start feeling better.

    • @Ashby_Farms_NC
      @Ashby_Farms_NC  Рік тому

      Use a bee brush into a box. Put a frame of eggs in the box first. Spray one spray of Swarm Commander on the inside of the lid first. Within an hour they’ll go off the tree and into the box.
