Good footage Rick, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
That was a pretty awesome exhibition. So many bargains I was yelling at the screen for you to buy 😊
I'm very happy down here in Melbourne though as I've finally got myself one of the Hornby ex-LYR Pugs for the equivalent of 30 quid!
They usually sell for more than double that. Lovely video guys.
Hi Gerry, great news on the Pug they are lovely locos aren't they! There was so much to buy at the show and I'm very happy with the loco I got apart from an issue with one of the tender wheels which I will fix when I get a chance. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment. All the best Rick.
Good video of be you at train show thanks Lee
Thanks Lee
Hi was there on sunday afternoon and saw you both.great video as always.
Thanks for watching John.
Looks great exhibition😊😊
Wow! A lot of amazing layouts and models on display... It seemed the one room and then it just kept going. A cools election of vendors and some nice wares! As always, thanks for a great show and look around!
Hi Anthony, yes it was a busy day and took hours of filming but it's always a pleasure to do but it can get a bit chaotic as I'm sure you realise. Many thanks for watching and keep up the great live streams. Cheers Rick
Enjoyed that, thanks both. PS - impressed with Pauline’s locomotive identification skills, “it’s a class 33”. 😂
Hi, yes Pauline is starting to show some interest in the "blue boxes" 😂😂 Cheers Rick
Was just like being there . Thanks for that . Saved me a 7 hour round trip from Glasgow ! Love these Ronuk tankers . They remind me of a pair of tankers I used to see at Haltwhistle on the Carlisle Newcastle line . We used to pass it regularly going to see my Aunty in County Durham . Don’t think these tankers ever moved in the years passing them back in the 70s . Think they were something to do with the local paint factory . Like you I always fancied the CoBo even though they are slab sided . Wish I’d got the Heljan/ Hattons one when they were out
Hi Russell, they are very nice tankers aren't they. I believe they carried white spirit. As for the Co-Bo I wasn't aware of the Hattons one or I have forgotten? They are very nice and I will pick an old Dublo one up at some point if the price is right. Thanks for watching Rick
Really enjoyed the Preston show hope you got some really good bargains, a very big thank you to you both.
Hi Robert, yes I got a few nice bits and pieces. All the best Rick.
Great exhibition, love the layouts and the choices from the vendors. Great selection of N gauge models. Thanks for letting us see the exhibition from the comfort of our homes. Do so much want to get out to the shows. Maybe soon. But in the meantime, thank you for your great videos and letting me keep in touch with the shows. ❤️😎
Hi Paul we seem to be seeing a lot of N Gauge at the moment. So yes a good show all round.vwe have a Facebook group where we list a lot of shows if that helps. Thanks for watching Rick
And off we go to see the show:)!!! The two that you did pick up dose look like the oo ones that I have Rick. O so nice look at all of the Passenger car one's I am a big sucker for those ... Hard to pass up for me mate lol!!! Lots of parts up on the wall wow!!! Nice Layouts. The last one was nice as well the video was great a bit long lol but a good one cheers mate!!!
Hi Brad, yes it was a long video and I might have to start walking quicker. 😂😂 So much to look at wasn't there and irmt was good to pick up a few bits and pieces. Don't worry our next exhibition video is a bit shorter. I'd put some Beatles backing music on for you but I don't think it would go down well. Lol cheers for watching and all the best Rick.
Hi Rick, no worries it was all good you know!!! Wow and some Beatles thank you:). You know I will be watching your new one. Have a great Train week and see you later!!!
Great video very good show some great bargains thank you for showing n gauge bits as well 👍
Thanks for watching Clive, it was nice to see a lot of N Gauge. All the best Rick
Another great show Rick and Pauline lots of amazing layouts and bargains huge amount of N gauge and a few Ho bits as well.
Hi Deano, there was an awful lot of N wasn't there and a nice selection of HO. The trader "Along Classic Lines" has a lot of HO as does another one we see at shows called "Mount Tabor Models" All the best Rick
Hi guys, another great video, there was some amazing layouts and plenty to buy. I really like some of the HO stuff. Keep them coming guys. All the best. Carl.
Cheers Carl
How times change. It would have been young lads years ago but now it is just us old geezers.
Hi Roger, it's just that us young lads have gotten a lot older. We actually see quite a mix of ages at the show and quite a few ladies are now into the hobby but maybe it doesn't come across that way in the video. When we go to the club events there are an awful lot of youngsters there which is good to see. Thanks for watching and all the best Rick.
Great show both, just shows you, they've made books on everything lol. ATB, Andy.
Hi Andy, lots of books on Woodhead and lots of magazine articles as well. We will do a video one weekend following the route from Glossop to the tunnels and then onto Penistone station where the old turntable is. Cheers for watching Rick
It's sad when you only see an older generation appreciating the railway modelling hope it is not a dying breed??..MAKE SURE TO BUY OFF THE MODEL SHOPS ON THE HIGH ST!!!!...helps the cause..thks for sharing the video guys!!!..seems to be a father to son although I was young when British rail was DOMINANT..showing my age??🤣..thks for posting...just subbed laughed at the humour they getting married..."DONT DO IT"-"🤣🤣🤣..sound advice!!!..BEAUTIFUL HOBBY WITH BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!..you guys are great!!..and the misses involved just makes it special!!!..ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK GOD I DONT GO TO THESE MEETS AS ID BE OUT A FORTUNE!!..I'd want that and that I have one but I want another one???..its a never ending money pit?😉...at end should have disclosed how many things you bought as I know you've an addiction!!!
Thanks very much for watching and leaving your interesting comment. I completely agree on using the high st model shops. A lot of the traders in our videos actually have their own shops and we are happy to put their details on screen. You can't beat a local model shop as not only do they have great stock but they are happy to help and advise on all aspects of the hobby. There will be a video along shortly detailing what fed our addiction throughout the last few months. Many thanks for watching Rick
That was a great show, lovely layouts and super bargains…
There where real gems of layouts, so to see, some scenery was superb.
I was watching some American shows yesterday, O gauge to be the favorite there with Lionel as the leading brand, lovely rolling stock, but if it comes to scenery building, the European layouts, specially the UK ones are so much better detailed, quite an interesting observation.
Love it, thanks for sharing, cheers, Danny…
Hi Danny, the scenery is usually the highlight of a layout for us. So many layouts have the same locos and rolling stock but the scenery is unique. All the best Rick.
Nice 33 one day you are going to say Pete l@@k what i bought ha ha ha exellent vid as normal. Both of you please dont ever give up .Hello pauline.
Hi Pete, I'm sure I will someday and I probably should have bought that one at £20. However, Wrenn Pacific caught my eye. Don't worry we have lots of stuff planned. All the best Rick
The list is now being extended.
Isn't that always the case?
Great video again.
Hi Ed, it's like painting the Forth Bridge. My list is staying pretty constant to be honest, top of it is still a few Wrenn locos but I have got most of the ones I wanted. Cheers for watching Rick.
10:20 and from a box loaded with UK stuff you pick up one of the few continental vehicles...
24:16 Fleischmann tinplate in the original box
39:17 Formally that's an ex KPEV branch line vehicle, in ex DDR livery. In the past (before rivet counting took over) it was kind of the standard oldtimer vehicle
52:44 Never seen that one with UK couplers before
1:01:03 That is probably a box loaded with Piko DDR era N scale. The large coach is a Russian sleeper with UIC bodywork.
1:05:45 you know that Vectrons with special liveries are addictive...
That stand full of Hornby Dublo looks like the guys over here selling red box Märklin. The kind of stand where looking at the prices is a health hazard.
And overall UK layouts seem to have better lighting fitted compared to continental ones
Thanks for the info Ivo, my knowledge of continental is not great. I just pick what catches the eye and it is always nice to see something new. Interesting observation regarding the lighting. Many thanks for watching Rick.
I have a croc its a puller an looks fantastic
They look amazing Leslie. 😀
Section 34:25 - 36:23 the stand with all of the model parts if you bought the parts for the lner A3 you would of had a functional model
Yes a massive and useful amount of spares at some of the shows.
i sent about 50 books down to the lightmoor steam railway that is in telford and they sell them on for there preservation of there line
56:33 I Was The One Who Chatted With You And Pauline About My Channel. You probably don't remember but when it came to the cut in this part, I was the one who started chatting to you sorry if I ruined your video a bit. Ta Zeke 👍
Ha ha no worries, we tend to have a lot of cuts in some vids as we chat a lot but it doesn't always tie in with the trains. Say hi if you see us next time. Cheers Rick
A great selection of layouts! Quick question what’s was the music you put on at the end please?
The song is from the UA-cam Audio library and is called "cover" by Patrick Patrikios.
Hi There Again it is Mr Cannadine T. Boxill-Harris, I have another interesting idea for most of you Class 313, Class 314 and that also is including those interesting Class 315 Fans out there, rather than scrapping most of those Class 313's Class 314's including the Class 315's maybe you guys can convert them and including the refurbishment into those Leyland 680 Engine, Volvo B10M Engine, Cummins M11 Engine, Gardner 6LXC Engine, Gardner 6LXB, Engine, Gardner 8LXB Engine, Class 313's, Class 314's and the Class 315's and convert all of them into a 2 Carriages and Three Carriages of the Class 313's, Class 314's and that is including those Class 315's for most of us Class 314's and the Class 315's Diesel Train Fans Pretty Please Are you still going to do this interesting type of Project
for all of us out there Please?
Who knows what's happening with these. The units are very old and the rail companies would rather buy new than refurbish old units. All the best Rick.
The trader at the beginning of the show with all the train body parts and chassis can you tell me the name of this trader
Hi I will try and find his details, I'm not sure of them at the moment as we haven't seen him since. Cheers Rick
Looks like a excellent exhibition with some great layouts . A lot of great traders. With a lot of N. The OO prices looked very fair. Thanks Roger
Thanks for watching Roger, some very good deals to be had at this show. All the best Rick.
