    Wasn't expecting such a fast response. So thanks. I am unable to do the job myself. But would appreciate your information. Maybe something I could have some friends who have construction experience do it for me. Thank you.

      Thank you! New subdivisions do seem to have issues with washouts around their sidewalks, pool decks, driveways, and houses/out buildings. We have many people calling with these same issues and resolving their problems with a simple fix. To order please go to www.secureset.net or give us a call 405-672-8885 .

      Secure Set is there a smaller about that you all sell that can be sprayed. My area is about 4 inches about 6’ x 6’. That big containers you all sell will probably ably use about 1/3 at most.

      @@alexanderperez1300 This is a 10 cu. ft. kit. If you have 72" x 72" x 4" , which is 20,736 cu. in. / 1728 cu. in. to 1cu. ft. , then you actually have 12 cu. ft. to fill. But if your average depth is actually less than 4" in some of that area, then the 10 cu. ft. kit should fill that space. If you want to send us some pictures of what you have and give us a call, we will gladly talk it through with you and see if there are some things we can help explain. Our email is info@graservices.com and telephone # is 405-672-8885. Thank you, GRA Services- Secure Set

    Have you ever tried using a camera to see what is happening when you are trying to fill a void so far back? There are some cheap cameras that can connect to your smart phone with 20 foot cable length. They are less than a half inch in diameter and so cheap they are almost disposable. This could be taped to the outside of the extension tube (CPVC pipe) a foot or so back from the end so it would stay out of the stream.

      Hello Bob D, That is a very good idea. I think it would be very useful for areas under garage floors, patios or other similar circumstances that are suspect to have voids under the slabs. A good tool to incorporate into the initial inspection stage of the project. Thank you.

    Yukon, Okla part of my back patio needs to be raised about 1/4 inch, on the East end of the patio the entire side is washed out 1 to 2 inches deep and 4ft by 5ft width and length. Should I drill holes and fill or run tubes through the East end and fill with foam. I need to raise a little and fill a out.

    This may be just what I need for my pole barn . I have very slight washout underneath the 6 inch slab of my pole barn. I also have critters digging holes. I have a 30 x 40 pole barn. I’d like to go around the whole perimeter under the slab and squirt foam in to keep critters from getting underneath. do you think this will work? I was going to dig all the way around the pole barn down to foot and put in screening like I’ve seen other people do on UA-cam, but I was curious when I dug away the dirt the stones will start falling from underneath the slab . I thought maybe this foam would be a good idea . Any thoughts?

      Thank you for the question and we apologize for the delay in responding. Yes, the high density foam is great for this type of application. I personally did this same project 2 years ago along a building with dug out areas and washout. The critters never came back and messed with it from what I can tell and the water has been diverted.

    Really impresive! but isn't there a risk to overlifting the sidewalk as the foam expands?

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for the comment. Yes, it is an impressive product. The only way you will get the lifting of the concrete is when you overfill the area with foam. The foam always follows the path of least resistance, so it will move to fill the voids, and maybe even escape out from under the sidewalk in some areas before it would actually lift. We do have 2 lifting/slab jacking instructional videos if you want to see how we perform that process with Secure Set Spray Foam.

    I have seen videos of the foam filling a void and it raising a slab of concrete, How do you keep if from raising a slab that you are just trying to fill the void and not raise the slab?

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  3 роки тому +7

      Hello, If your void can be accessed from the side, there is no issue with the foam raising the slab because the expanding foam will always seek the area of least resistance. It will expand to fill a cavity or void. If, on the other hand, you have a confined cavity, and you have to drill through the top of the slab to get to the void, you must try to predetermine the potential size of your void. Once you drill trough the concrete, you can probe the cavity to determine it's depth. Also hammer sound the concrete to try to determine the area of the cavity. When you know length, width and depth can can determine size of void in cu feet. The spray foam kit delivers approximately 1 cubic foot of expanded foam per minute of spray time. I hope this answers your question. Thank you

    I hope your still watching this thread. I've seen a number of your secure set videos in the last couple of days and have a question for you. The house is a 2 story with full cement slab basement and block walls built in 1920, no lag bolts holding it to foundation. I have an L shaped dip in my footer on the back corner, 30' on the long leg and 15' on the short leg. The cause of the sinking has been corrected, its now just a matter of leveling of the sill plate. I am going to lift this house back up to level with a series of jacks. There will be a void at the top of the block wall and under the sill plate along this L shape, largest void being at the apex of the L shape. I wanted to pack cement in this void but it would fall inside the blocks, would this secure set (SS) foam hold my house up after It sets and I take the jacks out? Or I could fill the block wall with SS and force concrete to fill the void at the top. Whats your thoughts.

      Hello Clay, Seeing that you intend to lift the floor to a level point with the use of jacks, once you have the floor to your desired level and if you can get actually see the void under your slab, you could fill the space with the high density foam and support your basement floor. The foam will support 10,080 lbs. per square foot. If you can accurately calculate the weight you intend to support, if it is less than the stated value, you can accomplish your project. My experience is that you should lift your floor to approximately 1/4" past level, then when the jacks are removed and the weight is supported by the foam, normally you get a slight compression of the soil under the foam. On another note, the company that fills the pressurized cannisters for us to make the spray foam product has had significant Covid related issues. Because of that, we are out of stock at this time. We are told a production run of the foam will take place on Jan 18th. Once they produce the product we should have it in stock by the week of the Jan 25th. Another issue we are facing is that several states have stated that as of Jan 1, 2021 they will no longer allow spray foam to be sold that is not GWP (Global Warming Potential) certified. Those states are Calif, Colo, Wash, New Jersey, New York and Vermont. If you live in one of those states, spray foam will not be available until mid March. Thank you.

    Thanks for the video. I am currently remodeling our bathroom. Upon pulling the tub out I realized that the tub plumbing was never connected and washed away about 8-10 inches of dirt below my concrete slab. The entire bathroom floor is 20ft by 15ft. Is this product good to use with my problem?

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  3 роки тому +1

      Hello, Thank you for the question! The answer is YES, this will work well. We recently helped the owner of an apartment complex that discovered that the bathtubs in the apartments on the first floor basically just hung through the floor and were not supported underneath. We were able to get in under the building and spray a foam base of material under each tub. It was a column of material that supported the tubs. Worker prefect! Are you able to get a visual of the cavity under the concrete? Thank you.

    • @peace6692
      @peace6692 3 роки тому

      @@SecureSet-Fence-Installation Yes so I took pictures from the hole in the concrete ( where the plumbing ran underground from the old tub). I can clearly see the gap in all directions. The other thing is when we turn on the faucets the water comes out of the pipe that wasn't connected to the tub. So all this time water from the tub and both sinks have been washing the soil away. A plumber told me I needed to bust up the entire bathroom floor to just look at the plumbing. 25 to 50 thousand dollars. That seems crazy to me.

    not a pro, but couldn't you drill a small hole through the concrete, fill from above then patch the hole? Similar to leveling sunken driveway?

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  3 роки тому +2

      Yes, you could drill a hole, but then you would not know if you were able to fill all the cavities. By digging out the end and actually seeing where the foam was going and not putting in too much, we were very exact and had the confidence than no area was left unfilled. Thank you.

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  3 роки тому +2

      Also, please see our latest video ua-cam.com/video/-G2ivvO5aQY/v-deo.html where we drill holes in the concrete and spray the foam in blindly. We did this for the purpose of lifting the concrete as much as 2", as needed to level this large slab. It worked for us. This is a great tutorial for foam jacking, but you can also do this process with the intention of just filling the void and not overfilling it for the lift. Drill some 3/8" holes and probe the area to find out how much of a void you need to fill.

    How do you keep dirt from caking into the tube when you feed it under the concrete?

    • @SecureSet-Fence-Installation
      @SecureSet-Fence-Installation  3 роки тому +5

      Hello, Its quite simple, actually put a piece of ordinary scotch tape over the end of the tube. It might not seem like it is enough, but it is. When you start to extrude the foam out of the tube, the pressure of the foam will push the tape of the end and the foam will come out. Thank you

      Thank you for your question. Go to www.secureset.net and there are 2 of our Secure Set Spray Foam kits available the 10 cu. ft. and 16.6 cu. ft. kits, both are the same price. For a project like this one the 16.6 cu. ft. would be the best choice, since it will support 5,040 lbs. per sq. ft. and you get 66% more foam to work with than the 10 cu. ft. kit (which supports 10,080 lbs. per sq. ft.)
